this really is an amazing place. I give it high marks. I like how it's off the beaten path but not too far. great for stargazing and if you want to go somewhere and experience complete silence.

We very much enjoyed our stay with Shawn! What a cute house that is perfect for everything you could want next to Guadalupe Mountains National Park ! We had everything we needed to cook and the beds were comfy, what more can you ask for! We enjoyed the sunsets off the mountains and the birds chirping each day ! We will be back to stay

This was in the perfect location for our trip. We mostly spent the trip hiking in Guadalupe Mountains National Park and this was a short drive to the trailheads/visitor centers. The place was comfortable and clean, with lots of space to eat and lounge with each other. We had a group of 5 and it easily fit all of us. The kitchen is well stocked so cooking was easy. If you walk a few minutes down the road to the vineyard, you can get an incredible view of the mountains at sunset. Keep in the mind the town this is in is exactly as described. Small with few amenities, and places that close early. We brought everything we needed with us so it wasn’t an issue at all, but just something to really pay attention to. Overall I loved the place, and would stay here again.

My husband, 4 year old, 1 year old and I stayed at the "pink house." My 4 year old LOVED finding all of the treasures around the property -- the flat marbles! He stayed busy for hours playing in the courtyard!! I do believe this was his favorite place we stayed on our road trip! We requested extra linens for the fold out couch and Marie was super quick to responding and bringing us what we needed! :) She is also very knowledgeable about what the local area has to offer. The location is very ideal if you are visiting the Guadalupe Mountains National Park. We were prepared and cooked our meals at the house. The host had a list of stores, gas stations and other miscellaneous items listed on the fridge. It was helpful to keep up with the opening/closings times of the local stores.
