Our single level home features 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom to rest after a long day of hiking the nearby Guadalupe Mountains National Park or Salt Flats. This is a rustic house, built in 1955 for farm workers. It is simple with no frills. If you don't like dust, this isn't the home for you. We are located in the Chihuahuan Desert off a dirt road in Dell City so be prepared. We offer a full kitchen, wifi, warm showers, and soft beds.

This room is the smallest of my collection. Simple, fresh, calm and 14 miles from the entry of The Salt Basin Dunes of the Guadalupe Natl Park. 1/2 mile from fuel, groceries, auto parts and a hardware store. Most months of the year, it is surrounded by alfalfa and chile fields. Welcome! 1 block east of Main st. on Verde Street in the Turquoise building. Entry is the door close to the 9 foot Rooster. NO animals of any type allowed - severe allergies

This sweet lavender home has a gorgeous view of the Guadalupe Mountains at sunrise. 3 bed, 2 bath. full kitchen, enclosed back yard. Fully equipped for a starlit peaceful and adventurous stay. At sunset the mountain turns pink and is breathtaking from the back yard. The yard is gated and safe for animals and kids. The pool is a small blowup plunge pool, cold, filled by the hose. Good for a summer cool off and for year round cold plunge bath lovers!

Grace House, Main Street, Dell City, Texas.

Comfy and cozy and a great place to enjoy the beauty of Dell Valley, west of the Guadalupe Mountains. Amazing sunrises and sunsets and a star-gazer's paradise! 45 minutes to Guadalupe Mountain National Park where you can summit the highest point in Texas or go a little further to Carlsbad Caverns. Dell City is 13 miles north of 62/180 midway between El Paso, TX and Carlsbad, NM. Fly in or drive in - either way you are welcome!

Rock House In Dell City Texas

The Rock House has a comfy bed and great air conditioning/heating - so nice after visits to Guadalupe Mountain National Park hikes and walks. Bring your own groceries! There are no grocery stores in town that offer more than a few things. ATT service only. Please be prepared. Get gas on your way out of El Paso or Carlsbad.

This was a great place to stay to visit Guadalupe and Carlsbad national parks. They were very responsive with messages and were attentive to our needs. Since Dell City is such a small town, they had a sheet of major businesses in the area as well as the hours that they were open. HUGE HELP!! Another unexpected perk of the location was the vast night sky. Tons of star gazing! This place was exactly what we needed.

I booked Andrea’s place based on the view and it did not disappoint. The stars were out in the perfect spring sky and the sunrise was the chef’s kiss to my stay. Andrea recommended Two T’s for their hamburgers and, I have to admit, the burger is in my top 5 of all time. I would love to come back and stay longer, I highly recommend More Travel, Less Talk <3

Andrea was a great host and very friendly. She had great communication. There was an opening at one of the larger and easier sites that she offered to us. The views were awesome and the amenities were enough to still be camping but alleviate some of those difficult tasks. The location was great as we were coming from Carlsbad Caverns on our way to Big Bend National Park. I would definitely recommend staying here.

I spent the night in a yurt at More Travel Less Talk and it was exactly what I needed—peaceful, quiet, and beautifully remote. Andrea and Roy were fantastic hosts with a down-to-earth vibe I instantly connected with. We shared similar takes on life and travel, which made the stay feel even more personal. The site had everything I needed: ample Tesla charging, fresh water, a picnic table, folding chairs, a grill, and more. The outhouses were just a short walk away—clean, simple, and easy to access. The cot was surprisingly comfortable and the yurt offered a cool, shaded escape from the heat of the day. The view of Guadalupe Mountain was absolutely stunning, and the location is ideal for astrophotography on moonless nights. Andrea and Roy also recommended a hike to Pratt’s Cabin, which I wouldn’t have thought to do—but I’m glad I did. It was a quiet, scenic trail and a highlight of the trip. Highly recommend for anyone looking to slow down, stargaze, and enjoy thoughtful hospitality.

Had a fantastic stay over the weekend. Hosts are great. The desert is such a unique tranquil experience. The views of the Guadalupe Mountains are amazing. Grilled in the little yard, enjoyed the stars. Bathrooms were close and everything was simple and overall a relaxing, wonderful stay.

Loved our stay! The site and lodging are accurate to the listing. The bed, pillows, and sheets were comfortable. The outhouse and shower are appropriately rustic AND spacious, secure, clean, and comfortable. The hot shower was a treat! The site has little lights to line walking zones to bathroom at night. Andrea provided every detail in the listing and our messaging communication throughout. What a pleasure to encounter such intentionality.

We had a great time at "Z Motel" in Dell City. This former hotel turned Airbnb worked well for us. The easiest way to find it is to put "Z Motel" into Waze or Google maps. Parking is easy, the room is clean & a nice size, the shower is hot. There's a small fridge, a microwave & a coffee maker. Better though was the response to messages. We messaged a couple of times. This team of cohosts seemed to be racing each other to reply. We never waited more than about a minute for a response. The only minor fixes I'd like are faster wifi though (maybe not possible in that area?) and an electrical outlet near the bed. Perhaps I'm just conditioned, but either bring a charging block, a LONG cable, or charge your phone "walking distance" from your bed. On the bright side, if you leave bed to turn off the alarm, you're up. That said, we'll stay again at Z. Its well run & comfy & the location is great for access to the mountains, star gazing, Carlsbad Caverns, the salt basin & more. Thanks!

The yurt was spacious, and the mattress was comfortable. There was more than enough bed linens to stay warm on the 50-degree nights. The handwashing station, camping chairs, lantern, and water jug with spigot were very helpful camp items for travelers. The latrine and shower were both very clean and well lit. Although the full moon was beautiful coming up over the Guadalupe Mountains, it was so bright it drowned out the stars. So my only advice is to look at the moon phase before booking this place!

This is a very special spot in the desert near Guadalupe Mountains National Park. It was so peaceful and the natural surroundings were just stunning! While primitive, the camp has a great set-up with many thoughtful touches. Andrea was very responsive and provided a great guide to hikes in the are. Beware that it could be difficult to get gas nearby. We went into Dell City on evening around 6 pm - one gas station only took Mastercard and the other was closed. Luckily we weren’t in too much of a bind.

Our accommodation was great, exactly as described. It was clean, spacious and well equipped which was important. As Lori had mentioned there is not much else in Dell City so we came prepared with our own groceries and ate in the 4 nights we were there. There was one cafe but it closed at 2pm. and we were out all day exploring the national park. It`s a good location from which to get to Guadalupe Mountains or even Carlsbad but that would be a longer drive. We visited the park daily and it was great having a tub and nice shower to wash off the sand every night!
