Monthly Rentals in Hood River Mountain

In spring each year I take a solo silent retreat & this cottage was perfect for unplugging, getting away from city noise, syncing with the sun, & giving my nervous system the chance to fully relax. There's Wi-Fi if you open the bedroom window & place your phone on the sill. However, it's a wonderful opportunity for a pile of books, art projects, meditation, &--best of all--watching the weather form over the Columbia River, the trees in the wind, the animals (deer, elk, turkey, eagles), & the sunrise. I didn't leave the property at all during my week stay. Bring hiking socks/boots to walk through the wooded areas for the burrs that hitch a ride. As an extremely light sleeper, I slept peacefully without earplugs by closing the bedroom door & letting the shower sprayer hang down gently to keep it from dripping. Train & traffic sounds are faint enough to not be intrusive & I never once heard a train horn. Fantastic hike/view 15 min away at Tom McCall/Rowena area. Highly recommend!

Great location if wanting to explore the Columbia River Gorge or the hood river area. Wish we were here in the summer and fall so we could experience all the local fruit that grows in the area. Spring time is great to visit all the local waterfalls. The place has everything you need. The host was quick to respond and very friendly. It does not have an oven, but we never needed one. Lots of space for 2-3 people. They had the futon set up for us.

comfortable well stocked wonderful veiw condo. trail starts right across the street, just a wonderfulow key place, I just wanted to relax and that's what I did.

This was our second stay with Theresa and we will return. The unit is well designed, squeaky clean, nicely equipped, and beautifully decorated. We had the quiet, relaxing break we were looking for. Theresa is definitely a super host! She’s a great communicator and made us feel very welcome. This is our favorite AirBnB and we look forward to staying here again!
