Vacation rentals with a kayak in Homosassa

The location was amazing! Definitely a little tricky to find in the dark though. There are not many street lights in old homosassa. The weekend we stayed there was an art festival with roads closed. I would advise to checkin during sunlight. With the time change this wasn’t possible for our arrival. A friendly police officer escorted us to the location. The next morning we checked out the property. The inside was very comfortable, clean and the locks worked as described. The beds are super comfy with one bed having an adjustable bed. The AC works brilliantly and we used one of the twin comforters to keep warm while watching movies. Great washer and dryer as well as dishwasher We messaged regarding the side by side as it did not start after the first use and they responded that they would look into it. We used the kayaks and enjoyed the canals. Very easy launch onsite however the kayaks were put away in the garage. It was a bit to get them out and down to the canal. We would definitely

The house was exactly as they had described. It was very clean, stocked, and had a great skylight above the kitchen table, which I absolutely loved! It is in a great location, minutes away from everything and the neighborhood was very quiet. The “owners” were working on one of their other houses, and I was lucky enough to catch them and speak to them. They were very knowledgeable and a joy to talk to. I would highly recommend this rental!

Beautiful comfortable home close to many restaurants. The house was clean and roomy, beds firm and kitchen well stocked.

We had an excellent stay at Joy's place. Everything was perfect, Joy and her family go above and beyond to make this a five star experience. We enjoyed kayaking and paddleboarding in the springs, only a 5 minute paddle from the house to Homosassa Spring. My only regret is we didn't stay longer.

The Scallop Hut was perfect. The house was very nice and the large deck with pool/spa was amazing. We have been coming to Homosassa every year for the last 25 years and this house is by far the best we have stayed out. We were fortunate enough to meet Terry during our stay and he was great. We are looking forward to staying here next year.

We had a great time went to the springs, checked out a sinkhole. We ran into a whiskey distillery in the middle of the woods that had a band playing with the locals. I wish I could remember the name of it. It was super cute! The place was super cozy lots of room and very clean. It was great because instead of renting kayaks were able to use the kayaks they had. The kids had a lot of fun riding around on the scooters. They had board games so we hung out on the dining room table playing games at night. Definitely would go back thank you so much for an awesome vacation.

Prime location at the end of a street. Plenty room for the family. We really loved the wildlife outside during our morning coffee. The river was a HUGE joy for us all. We definitely want to come back!

We booked this place last minute because of a cancellation and we are so glad they did. This place was exactly as described and the pictures are accurate. Such a wonderful place to stay and we will definitely be returning. Laura was very responsive and super help when we had questions. I would give 10 stars if I could. Worth every penny.

this place was great! we had a group of four and had some friends come to visit and kayak for the day and there were plenty for everyone to use. we ran out of toilet paper and Sally had somebody come by to drop extra off for us. my only complaint is that the bed in the master bedroom is not very comfortable. I would stay here again.

This location accommodated 10 men easily. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Very friendly neighbors, peaceful setting in nature and not too far from dining options. Cheryl was super responsive and helped us tremendously, she went above and beyond accommodations. The house was very clean and very tighty. Thank you!

I’m hooked. We are in Fl from PA at our family home and this is our new vacation from the vacation spot. We were fortunate to be able to arrive a bit early. We immediately felt at ease. This has been our best Airbnb experience and we have travelled the world. I was so happy to meet Dennis and his wife Debra take such care to make guests feel loved. They iron the sheets! Little touches of special care took the weight of the world away. We were told to close the very secure gates and allow our dog to explore. We had use of various watercraft and all of the equipment. We took our dog on the water and paddled around. We saw crane, so many large fish and heard owls. The experience was perfect. I thought to myself that this is what heaven must look like. We have been in homosassa before but this is the place. We went 2.5 miles down the road and rented a pontoon. I had a nice float with some new manatee friends. Thanks for hosting us Dennis and Debra! My parents are booked for spring!

It was such a peaceful stay. The sounds of nature was abundant. Its a very nice place to stay and eould definitely stay again.

Great waterfront home. Ideally located and walkable to downtown Inverness. We absolutely fell in love with downtown Inverness. Their parks are top notch. The bike trail is perfect. If you can bring your bikes if not there are places to rent bikes.

It was a great place to relax a couple days. This was my first time not using a hotel. I was amazed and unbelieve able it was. I live Hernando for awhile. I thank you for wonderful place to stay

Wow! What a wonderful place! Maria was incredible! I had just mentioned my husband and I were booking for our 30th anniversary and when we arrived for check in there was a very nice card and flowers on the table! This was just the icing on the cake! The place was immaculate , fully stocked and comfortable:) The outdoor spaces were also immaculate and comfortable! The boathouse/slip was excellent! Very nice boat ramp. The property was just beautiful:) We couldn’t have hoped for a better place! Perfect for a couple:) What more can I say? When you find the perfect little get away with the perfect host everything is Perfect! Thank you so much:)

Had a wonderful stay at Dawn’s unit in Weeki Wachee Gardens. The house is on the canal that connects to the river and is easy paddle access to the springs, Roger’s Park, etc. The beds in the house are absolutely comfortable. The home has mostly everything you need: stocked kitchen, kayaks, grill, fire pit, etc. Our family had a wonderful trip.

It was a beautiful place to stay. Perfect place to disconnect your self from everything. We love our stay!!! The cabin was just perfect for the 3 of us. Love the River and the screened porch.

Awesome place to take a weekend and relax. Pictures do not do it justice - looks even better in person. Loved spending the weekend kayaking. Would stay here again when we take a long weekend out of town.

A great place for a solo retreat! I felt very safe and enjoyed the cozy feel of the cabin. It is close to other properties but still feels secluded and very private. The cabin was spotless and has everything you need for a comfortable stay including a stellar movie collection! Casey was very nice and communicative offering very clear instructions. I will definitely be back and recommend staying here to my family and friends!

We traveled all over Florida and this Airbnb was a breath of fresh air, at the end of our trip, after staying at a couple more rustic places. We enjoyed coffee in the mornings on the dock watching the mullet fish jump multiple feet in the air before splashing on their sides. It is a short kayak ride to clear waters, where you can see schools of mullet. Unfortunately, our 13yo got a minor injury prior to arriving here so he could no longer go kayaking or enjoy the floating mat like we intended. We spotted the My Round Boat magnet on the fridge and decided to splurge so our son could still enjoy the Weeki Wachee river. My Round Boat was easy to book and they delivered the boat right to the Airbnb. There is a gaming system upstairs, but our son barely played it as he was enjoying the dartboard and ring & hook game outside. La Bella Napoli Restaurant is a must stop if you want to experience authentic Italian. We had a crabbing charter booked in Crystal River, which was unforgettable!

It’s exactly as it seems. It’s cozy, easy to find, has a pub with great food and drinks literally at your door step. I don’t know if I could find something to complain about if I tried. Well ok bed was a little squeaky but everything was amazing.

Very cozy. Private, secluded. Internet was spotty, but we really appreciated disconnecting for a while. The community has private access to their own piece of rainbow river about five minutes away, where you can launch. Property is about 15 minutes from the state park itself.
