Very responsive and kind host. The house was beautiful with an amazing lanai and view of the ocean and sunsets.

Sandra's home was very nice and has a beautiful backyard. We rented the downstairs portion (with the private pool). We really appreciated the extra amenities provided (beach chairs, body boards, wagon, cooler). We used all of these items when we went to the beach. The yar d, fruit trees, and view are immaculate. We were able to pick fresh fruit each morning (star fruit, guava, oranges). This is definitely an experience that you can not replicate at any hotel, our family really enjoyed this. Thank you Sandra for sharing your beautiful home with us!

It was everything we wanted and more! Everything we thought we’d need they already had. It’s in a beautiful spot! Being further from town lends itself to having some of the most gorgeous views of the night sky. Plus, the views from the pool are breathtaking (even with vog). A great stay for couples!

We loved everything about our stay here. The neighborhood is quiet, the views are amazing, the home is gorgeous with a great kitchen for cooking, we had everything we needed and more.

11 of us (4 adults, 7 kids) stayed here for a week. It fit our family well, and was very cozy with the most beautiful outdoor scenery. The house was also full of added perks such as plenty of towels, dishes, blankets, games, etc. I also noticed they provided a lot of things I’ve had other airbnbs not in the past such as toilet paper, laundry detergent, trash bags, and even some shampoo and conditioner. All of those things add up, so it was much appreciated! I’d definitely stay here again!

I recently stayed at Justin’s Airbnb in Kona, and it was an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, Justin was incredibly welcoming, offering great recommendations for local activities and making sure we had everything we needed. The house itself was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, creating a perfect island retreat. One of the highlights was the pool – it was pristine and provided the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring the island. The outdoor area was fantastic, with plenty of seating, and we enjoyed several evenings watching the sunset from the lanai. The location in Kona was ideal, with easy access to beaches, dining, and shopping, yet the house felt like a private oasis. We felt truly at home during our stay and couldn’t have asked for a better place to unwind. I highly recommend Justin’s place for anyone looking to experience the best of Kona in comfort and style!

Thank you for hosting us! We enjoyed our stay and appreciated how clean and well-maintained the house was. The location and amenities were great overall. One important note for future guests: while the pool is nice, its floor has a rough texture that could potentially scrape or scratch skin if you're not careful. This might be especially important for families with children. Regarding check-out time: 10 AM feels a bit early, especially when trying to pack up and clean with a family. A later check-out time of 11 AM would be more comfortable for guests and is more standard for most rentals. But the host was very nice and let us stay till 11am, we really appreciated it Despite these minor suggestions, we had a pleasant experience and would recommend this property to others, just with these small notes about the pool surface and check-out timing

We loved our stay at Kendall’s place! The location was so private, peaceful, and absolutely beautiful. We had lots of space to spread out and the kitchen and bathroom were very clean and easy to keep clean during our stay. All five of us loved Meow Meow the cat and enjoyed giving her treats from the adorable vending machine outside. It was a huge bonus for us that there were boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella, and beach towels (and more) available for us to use during our stay. Kendall was a great host, communication was fast and clear, and the directions we recieved before arriving made finding the place and checking in a breeze. We also enjoyed learning more the family’s coffee farm and took a few bags home with us. Already looking forward to the next time we visit!

Lovely location, thoughtful amenities and a wonderful Lanai, (porch) where we were able to sit and have breakfast or best, view the sunsets every night.

Awesome ocean view lanai for sunrise breakfasts and sunset dinners. Really enjoyed the coffee and beach gear provided. Appreciated first aide supplies for the inevitable skin scrapes while snorkeling.

This was the best Airbnb experience we’ve ever had. Joe was welcoming and extremely helpful when it came to recommendations, surf conditions, and even when we had rental car troubles. It felt reassuring to know someone who really had our back! Also, we had a great time training Jiujitsu with Joe and his team. The home was clean and top-notch aesthetically. It was apparent that Joe takes care of the flora and landscaping surrounding the home as well! We would definitely recommend staying here! Mahalo Joe!

Our stay was too short! The photos do not do it justice -- this place is really nice! The lanai was so large and decorated differently than the photo. We were forewarned the unit is NOT child-proof, but we did have our grandkids visit and were able to make it safe. The hall closet had EVERYTHING you could possibly need! We contributed a plastic basket with beach toys that wouldn't fit in our luggage and our snorkeling gear so hope someone can take advantage and use them on their trip. There were high surf warnings so not the best time to be out on the water. We did take advantage of the recommended excursion - Night Swim with Manta Rays and would highly suggest anyone do that trip it was so worth it. Loved the king bed in the master suite and the lovely walk-in shower with the rain shower head. Was lovely and roomy. Kitchen was huge and thoughtfully stocked. Be sure you read the information in the binder and park accordingly. Check out instructions were easy peasy.

Dragon Makai Hale exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, Cheryl was an outstanding host, providing invaluable tips on local hotspots and must sees around the island. The thoughtful meet-and-greet added a personal touch that made us feel truly welcomed. The home itself was perfectly located—central to everything and easy to navigate from. It was impeccably clean, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable, offering the perfect balance of luxury and relaxation. Without hesitation, 10/10 would stay at Dragon Makai Hale again. It’s the ideal place for anyone looking to experience the best of Kona on the Big Island.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The house has a well-stocked kitchen, washer and dryer and all kinds of beach equipment, which we put to good use. No need to rent beach chairs or snorkels or boogie boards! Sheri and Gary are super responsive hosts. Ceiling fans in every room keep the house feeling cool and fresh. It’s true there’s some road noise, but it was very mild, just gentle whooshing. The speed limit on the road is between 20 and 30, and it’s relatively quiet at night. This house was great for our family of 2 parents and 2 grown children. Also worth mentioning is the lovely lanai in the back- great for relaxing.

This house was wonderful; highly, highly recommend. Great location, up the mountain at about 1500 feet. Unobstructed view of the ocean below. House is immaculate, well laid out and fully stocked. Many beach towels, cooler, 6+ beach chairs, and two umbrellas. You will not be disappointed.

We had a great vacation! The ocean views are awesome and you can hear the surf below which is soothing. Guy greeted us at the house when we arrived, showed us around and told us about island activities and sights. He was very entertaining and helpful. The house itself is very comfortable (beds, chairs, sofa etc.) which has not always the case with rental in Hawaii. The screened in outdoor deck was great for morning coffee and afternoon wine. We hope to return to Peaceful House in Kona Paradise.

Charles is a great host. The house is spacious and comfortable. Everything we need was there, and sufficient. Location is excellent, near town, restaurants, grocery stores, and the airport. We enjoyed our stay very much. Recommended.

Had a nice stay. Four separate king suites were spacious and clean. We didn’t realize (though perhaps missed in the listing description) that the property managers live in the house, not just on the property. Sunsets were beautiful!

The location was great, walking distance to magic sands beach, parks, and dining with great sunsets! The home had it all! nice plunge pool to cool off in, and table tennis, snorkel gear and beach accessories, plenty of room for our group of 10!

The host were nice and easy to communicate with. Responded quickly to any questions and very helpful. Everything was great. House was as described and felt private with a nice view. The host has done a great job with the house. It’s catered very well to guests staying here. The washer and dryer were so helpful and a great bonus. From hooks on the wall for towels to the basics of what we needed for a short stay it was all well thought out. Also the place is Very Clean. We felt comfortable from the minute we walked in. I would definitely consider staying here again next time. It’s away from the busy part of town but close enough to be convenient to get to. Thanks
