Vacation rentals with lake access in Henderson County

My girlfriends and I stayed at this beautiful NC house and we loved it!! It was a nice way to get away from the city and have a relaxing weekend full of board games, baking Halloween cookies and treating ourselves to an in house spa night. The house was so beautiful and we were obsessed with all the themed rooms. The hot tub was of course a hit! The house is also near great hiking spots. We did a hike inside the neighborhood and we also went to Chimney Rock State Park, which isn’t far from the house. We ended our weekend at the neighborhood restaurant which had plenty of yummy food options and beautiful scenery to take lots of photos at! We absolutely loved in and would go back again!

We spent Thanksgiving week at Evergreen with our family of 4. The surrounding land is stunning - naturally beauty that is worth the stay alone! The cabin feels like going to a great camp in the mountains...the rooms are large - every room is spacious and comfortable. It is an older property with a sense of history - feels like a family home. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of linens for the beds - and extra quilts. The property is rural but not a far drive to Tuxedo or Hendersonville for groceries. We also went apple picking at a near by orchard! It is probably equally beautiful in the spring when the trees and bushes are in bloom.

This is a great house - very clean, beautiful back porch view, and lots of space. We especially appreciated the upstairs and downstairs living areas. The kids had their own space in the evenings. Kitchen was large and well-appointed, comfy beds and nice bathrooms. The location is very close to Dupont Forest and the cute town of Cedar Mountain. Brevard is about 20 minutes away. We didn't take advantage of the community amenities but there is a pool, tennis, pickleball, fishing etc. Stephanie was very responsive as well.

This home did not disappoint! Absolutely gorgeous! The host were available when needed.Well supplied with everything you need such as dishes, household supplies, shampoos, body wash, conditioners, skin lotion, laundry detergent and softeners. Anything that you need is already there except food and drink. The home is beautiful and serene, the waterfall is absolutely stunning and peaceful. You will not be disappointed at all!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Golf Course Oasis with Azure Luxe! I was impressed with the space and amenities. The rooms were well put together and comfy. There's plenty to do around on the property: Tennis and Pickleball are a blast. We loved the option to have a meal on the patio. Plenty of space to lounge inside and outside. Our group appreciated working with Jeff and Laura. They both made the entire process and stay seamless.

Perfect Peaceful Nature get away for families. The lake is just down the hill with kayaks and SUP ready to be used with nice covered picnic tables. Hikes are walkable from the house. Kitchen was well stocked and we felt right at home. Micheal was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay.

Lori and Josh did an excellent job accommodating myself and friends. They were a pleasure to work with and they have a great spot here. keep up the good work, guys!!

Little gem. Only weakness was the TV is a bit older and the internet bandwidth isn’t consistent. Cell service is weak up there too, so be aware of that. But if you want to truly unplug and enjoy nature, especially during the warmer months, this place is a treat. The owners have put a lot of intentionality into the place and accommodating the stay of their guests. Overall, wonderful.

We had a wonderful time at Jennifer’s home. Her parents, Ed and Kay welcomed us and made us feel right at home. They provided wine and delicious snacks for us and also gave us passes to Rumbling Bald. The place is right on the lake and absolutely beautiful. The inside is much more beautiful than in the pictures, as it is tastefully decorated and good quality linens and towels were provided. They had every thing available that we could need, expensive toiletries and plenty of floats and kayaks. I can’t say i’ve ever stayed at an air bnb that was so thoughtfully appointed before. We will definitely be back.

We absolutely enjoyed your place! Sharon and Anna were excellent host and very supportive! The apartment lacked nothing! It was so peaceful and relaxing! We loved the trail around the whole lake and walked it each day! The location is very convenient to anything you would like to do in the mountains! This was such a lovely Airbnb! Squeaky clean, walkable to beautiful Lake Junaluska and just a few minutes to hiking and downtown Waynesville. You can really tell Steve and Susie want their guests to have a five star stay with so many thoughtful touches such as bottled water, coffee, tea, half and half, biscotti’s card games and an abundance of books and guides about the area. There was a private table and chairs outside for a glass of wine or a meal which we loved and the bed was so comfortable. Melodie's place is a slice of heaven if you're looking for a peaceful hobby farm retreat. Around every corner were new discoveries whether the beauty of the landscape or the animals in their various living spaces around the property (horses, cows, chickens, couple friendly cats, and sweet welcoming dog Shelby). If you have time for a walk to the woods you'll be treated to a bubbling brook w a bench beside it for some contemplative time, not to mention flowers to gaze at all along way. We hadn't really been aware of the sauna (maybe it's in the listing and we missed it) but it's an incredible treat if you can find time one evening to check it out. There's even more than the exterior beauty and sauna treat, but I'll let you discover some surprises on your own. Ideally, you'll spend several days so you can take it all in. Melodie's family incl husband + kids were so nice + made us feel at home. Our stay was A+++ and we hope to return. Worth driving a little farther for this GEM.

By far the best airbnb host we’ve ever had super fast to respond to questions and the accommodations were better than described. Beds were absolutely marvelous woke up every morning feeling better than new. This airbnb is a nature lovers dream. Highly recommend Sandy and the unit

This was our second stay at Carolyn’s wonderful Airbnb, and it was just as perfect as the first! The lake views are absolutely stunning—peaceful, scenic, and the perfect getaway. Carolyn is a fantastic experienced host, thoughtful and welcoming. It felt like coming back home. Our dog got to join us, and he loved it just as much as we did! If you’re traveling with a dog, you can’t beat the accommodations of Carolyn‘s place. It’s so nice to find a place that’s both pet-friendly and convenient and nice and truly relaxing for humans. We can’t recommend Carolyn’s home high enough and will definitely be back again. Thank you, Carolyn, for another amazing visit!

Cute place for a getaway with 2-4 people. Beautiful deck, small kitchen with what you need for quick cooking, coffee on hand, bathroom nice with what you need, clean and tidy. Loved the convenience to everything to do in the area. Kids loved the pool! I loved the zip line just 15 mins up the road (not included but highly recommend). Very responsive and helpful host. Lake Lure and views are breathtaking.

We had an amazing stay at the lake house! The property was spotless and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals. The highlight of the stay was definitely the lake—perfect for swimming, relaxing, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The combination of a clean and comfortable home with the natural beauty of the lake made for a wonderful getaway.

The Cottage at Lake Lure provided unmatched views and a relaxed and peaceful retreat. Outdoor spaces are beautiful but unfortunately the boat house that was present at the time of booking had been taken down by the time of our stay, reducing the ability to be on the lake. Access to paddleboards and kayaks a plus and the ability to rent a pontoon was a wonderful bonus. Wifi access was spotty and phone service challenging - this provided some challenges to individuals who planned to work a remote day from the booking. Overall a great stay with fire pit, grill, time on the water, and gorgeous scenery.

debbie's place is truly a home away from home! The lakefront property is relaxing and peaceful. Would love to stay again if we ever visit the area.

Really enjoyed our night here. Appreciated the clear instructions and everything is labeled well. The house and area is beautiful, sad it was too rainy to take advantage of the canoes. Would definitely stay here again.

This was my second visit to Marthas and once again it did not disappoint. This time we decided to book specifically for a father son fishing trip. We had a blast caught plenty bass blue gill and some catfish. I normally never catch any bass but they were pumping on my hook all weekend. Martha is always helpful very responsive and so polite she always leaves a little snack in kitchen when you enter. The furniture is cozy and very comfortable the setting is relaxing and beautiful view. The neighbors are polite great restaurants nearby and easy to drive to with many grocery stores close by the locals are so friendly and welcoming.

Thank you for letting us stay. it was wonderful being able to have our two dogs with us. Bed was comfortable and and there was ample room for our two 18 year olds. The hot tub was clean and warm! Used it every day. Only thing I would not, and this doesn't take away from the review or rating, is the pond wasn't quite the view we thought it would be and there were more lizards than fish. nothing the host can control. Just something to note depending on the expectations of the guest and what they are looking for. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

We wanted a peaceful, secluded getaway and we found it. Since Helene, there is less to do and see since Morse Park is closed and Chimney Rock Village is closed, but that was actually a blessing. We visited spots we wouldn't have before and spent hours upon hours relaxing on the porch. In addition, the cottage is stocked with all the amenities one would need and more. This is definitely a property we will stay at again!

This was our second time staying here, and it will not our last. “Peppers Place” is the perfect home away from home getaway. The cottage is tastefully decorated, well stocked with all the basic essentials, and very clean. I can’t say enough good things about our host, Kerry. She is quick to respond to any questions or concerns, and very friendly. Highly recommended!
