The Granary at Coes Vineyard, East Sussex

TomRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed at the Granary for our short honeymoon, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the cozy charm and intimate atmosphere made us feel right at home. The cottage was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing and memorable stay. The views around the grounds were breathtaking—t felt so special to retreat here after a busy wedding and just soak in the romance of the space. We are already planning to revisit in Summer 2025 to see the vineyard in full growth!

Evegate Manor Barn

SophieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We absolutely loved our stay! The location is fantastic and Dave’s recommendation of the little pub The Dog House was a great one. A short 1minute walk and you’re there in a great atmosphere with great food. The barn is filled with every necessity you could need. It’s warm and cosy. The Christmas tree was a great touch and made us feel at home. The hot tub was fab. We would definitely come back again, next time in the summer so we can use the pool.

Cooden Cottage - Seaside retreat, pets welcome

OmarRating, 5 stars3 months ago
What a lovely place. We really enjoyed our stay. The location is about a mile from Bexhill-on-Sea, so under 30 mins each each way to walk. Very close to Hastings and other local villages to drive to. The home was well kitted out, lots of space for us to spread out and for our dog to roam outside in the garden. Close to the sea and to walk into town. Ella was very responsive to any messages which we really appreciated.

Blackthorn is a luxurious, rural retreat for two.

SiovhanRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Our second time staying at this location and it was just as perfect as the first time. Beautiful place, peaceful surroundings, and everything you could need for a relaxing time away. While Peter was thoroughly welcoming and helpful, we were given as much privacy as we needed. We came for my husband's fortieth birthday and when mine rolled around I knew this is where I wanted to spend it. Thank you Peter and Karen for a wonderful stay!

Badgers Den - Covehurst Bay Holiday Cottage

GaryRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Lovely place, peaceful and relaxing. Fanstatic Christmas lights around the grounds making it feel very festive! Erick was a delight, really helpful with recommendations and showing us the facilities. Milk and ciders in the fridge to greet us along with biscuits and cake with the tea and coffee. The place was clean and tidy with the lights on and heating pumping, really appreciated after a long drive. Would highly recommend!

Perfect Isolation. Quaint Sussex Farm Cottage

JuliaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Perfect! We chose this cottage for its quiet and private setting and because it looked lovely in the listing. It really delivered, such a gorgeous, warm, cosy and comfortable home for the two of us and our dog for a week’s winter break. Our dog loved the freedom, no fences, no livestock nearby (when we were there), just a few pheasants and footpath walks from the doorstep, plus a log fire to curl up in front of in the evenings. The house is private and secluded, sheltered by a few trees, but with great views across the fields. The bed was super comfy and the house is well equipped including plenty outdoor furniture, parasol, sun loungers, and BBQ for summer. It is all very close to Rye, only 5 mile drive and Jempsons, a great supermarket, is in the village. There is loads to see and do locally, beach side coffee shops, National Trust properties, even in winter, vineyards, pubs and beautiful Rye. We’ve had a really great holiday and a big rest, thank you very much Bridget, great job!

Comfortable 17th century cottage in rural location

ElenaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We loved staying at Esme’s property. It was such a gorgeous location and we saw so much wild life including deer most mornings and evenings. The location is great for walks and amenities. The house itself is modern but does not lose the charm of older cottage. Warm and clean and very cosy for the two of us. Plenty of space should we have had 1-2 more people staying with us. Kitchen had everything we could have needed and we were able to cook full meals there. Main bedroom is spacious and very comfortable. The bathrooms are modern and gorgeous designs. Esme was lovely, sent lots of info before arrival and there were good recommendations for local shops etc left inside the cottage. Overall lovely place to stay and we would return!

comfortable 2 bedroom terraced cottage

NancyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Sadly this is our last stay at Allis’ wonderful home due to it being sold. My brother and myself use it to come visit our elderly Mother and have been made more than welcome every time. Alli leaves lots of personal touches like selections of biscuits , different tea bags to try. Even a pint of milk and a loaf of bread awaits you. We wish Alli & family all the best in their new adventures. Thank you for making our stay’s so welcoming and comfortable. Nancy & Ashley.

Charming little workers cottage

AndyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Absolutely fell in love with Lynda’s little cottage - we didn’t want to leave! It is such a gem. We felt instantly at home, it’s is so comfortable and cosy and just what we needed to recoup. The bed in particular was unbelievably comfortable and we got some of the best sleep we’ve had in ages. A small thing I would mention - the shower is positioned under a sloped roof so you can’t stand up if you’re above about 5’6, but the bath is great! Oh and be sure to pack a pair of slippers as the concrete floors are quite cold in winter. Despite this, this was still my favourite air BnB I’ve ever stayed in, it just had so much charm. Full of amazing books (it’s rare I would sit and read an air BnB host’s books on holiday, but we spent two nights reading for hours by the fire and it was bliss!) great board games, plus Linda left us milk and croissants for breakfast. A true haven and I cant wait to come back!

Sissinghurst Cottage lovely countryside walks

CeliaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a very enjoyable stay in Studio Cottage which was clean, comfortable and warm. The kitchen was well equipped and a very welcome welcome basket was left! We enjoyed the sweet treats. Sissinghurst has a pub/restaurant, an excellent fish and chip shop and a shop which has to be seen to be believed! There are some lovely walks locally as well as castles and gardens. Jackie has provided comprehensive information in her guide. We would certainly recommend the cottage. Thank you.

Romantic Seaside Retreat

GlenRating, 5 stars3 months ago
A fab mid week break at Helen’s place. It’s in a great location in the middle of the old town. The cottage is a cosy little house for two ( and pup) everything you would need is provided plus a lovely welcome basket of local basics which was a nice touch. Helen was very easy to communicate with and even offered earlier checkin/ later checkout as they were available. Just one note for people with dogs. The only beach within walking distance which allows dogs is past the pier. A bit of a walk but the dog wasn’t complaining!

Tom Thumb's Cottage - Historic Fisherman's Cottage

DouglasRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This property is a hidden gem! I stayed for a month in Eastbourne for work and couldn’t have been happier. While parking next to the house is limited, ample spots are available nearby—I usually parked at the seafront, just a minute’s walk away. The cottage is cozy yet well-equipped, with a fantastic kitchen and a compact but highly functional bathroom. The shower is unexpectedly powerful—better than any hotel in Eastbourne! The hosts were attentive and quick to respond to any questions, and the Wi-Fi is lightning-fast, perfect for work or streaming. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and despite the cottage being small, it felt spacious, even for someone 6’1”. The location is ideal, with mini-supermarkets, restaurants, and takeaways all within walking distance. Even during freezing nights, the house stayed warm and inviting. I loved my stay and look forward to returning. Highly recommended!

Hop at Tipsy Cottages: a romantic rural retreat

RachaelRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage was immaculate and beautifully done. It had everything we needed including cot, high chair, bath, toys and books for our baby. The bed was really comfortable too. A really lovely touch is the consideration for eco-friendly and sustainability. The cottage is walkable to the village which had a friendly local pub with good food. Georgina and Andy were both great hosts, really responsive and sent lots of helpful tips and clear instructions. Would recommend this place to others!

Oak Framed Mini Barn

PaulRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a lovely stay. It's in a beautiful location- very peaceful and with everything we needed for a quiet break away. We did initially have trouble finding the property. It's not visible from the road. We had had a couple of emails with an 'image' that we could not see so maybe we had been sent instructions that we hadn't managed to open. Having said that, Romy couldn't have been more helpful over the phone and her daughter and friend who were nearby also helped us straightaway when we had a problem with the hot water. The Swan Inn opposite is a lovely rustic pub - friendly and with good food. We enjoyed a country walk past Batemans and a visit to Battle Abbey. We also recommend the friendly little cafe next to the Post Office at Netherfield. A lovely stay and we would recommend.
