Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Harrisonburg

Would definitely recommend! Host was very responsive. We did have some internet issues but luckily we weren’t at the airbnb much. We stayed for JMU homecoming and was nice to be close enough but not have to deal with the Harrisonburg traffic. Firepit was an amazing add and we had a blast with the games in the basement!

We had a great stay in Harrisonburg! The house was very clean and spacious and the pool was amazing. We will definitely be returning!

We had a great time! It was the perfect size, very cozy, loved the game table (Foosball, pool and air hockey) all the games, fire pit. Kitchen was perfect, loved the 2 bathrooms and beds were very comfortable! View was gorgeous and it had a convenience store/gas pump 5 minutes away which was great since we were in the middle of nowhere! It was only 20 minutes from Luray, Fort Royal and Skyline drive. Would definitely stay again!

Good for a family vacation. Lots of time spent in the hot tub, and had all the essentials. Older home not completely modernized, so a lot of it is worn/dated (think peeling paint, AC and heat but not centralized). This didn’t really come across in the photos but wasn’t a problem - just don’t expect a new/renovated look.

We had an amazing time with friends. The view is spectacular we couldn’t get enough of it. We spent evenings in the hot tub and mornings in the screen porch. It rained during our stay so we didn’t hike as much as we wanted but we loved that we were still able to enjoy the outdoors from the screen porch. We easily cooked dinner and breakfast in the fully stocked kitchen (including spices). We stopped in wardensville for lunch and goodies before checking in. Then we headed to Lost River State Park to hike the white oak trail to cranny’s crow overlook and check out the new almost heaven swing. We thought the house was in the perfect location, while very private and peaceful it was right in between everything we wanted to see and do. We put together two puzzles and the kids loved the hammock. The book with all the information for things to see and do nearby was very helpful. The detached bedroom and bath was perfect for the snoring family member so we all got a restful nights sleep.

This was my third time staying at the North Hawksbill House, and it has been such a nice experience every time. Comfortable, quiet, and an easy walk from cafes and shops and a nice little trail by the water. It’s perfect for a getaway to one of the most beautiful parts of Virginia!

This river retreat was the perfect weekend getaway for friends and family. We needed a place that could accommodate 8 adults, 2 infants and 3 dogs and this was the spot. I never thought I would visit Woodstock, but finding a place where the home itself is the destination was incredible. We loved the main living area and large dining room table. we also really enjoyed not having a TV in the main living space, so we enjoyed each others company more. (Don't worry the pub and basement are great TV spots). Lots of outdoor activities and the walk to the river and swinging bridge was wonderful. We will be returning for a summer getaway soon! Wonderful accomodations for small children including baby gates for the stairs, extras we used for the patio, bouncer high chair and toys. Having the light switches and cabinet / drawers all labeled was invaluable especially because of the unique layout of the home and all the hangout spaces. It also helped for easy cleanup after cooking.

This was a very nice get away. The bottom was great and everything was well stocked and clean. Highly recommend!

Very homey place, plenty of space and high ceilings make it feel even bigger. Plenty of space for multiple people to stay as well as a full kitchen with spices and dishes provided. Suzy was a very polite host and I definitely consider her place, especially if you are hitting the mountains and hikes. Also the water pressure in the shower was amazing, definitely recommend here!

Very cute basement studio, homey, stylish and super clean. Location was great close to downtown, but private and in a great neighborhood. Host was very communicative, flexible and helpful. We would definitely recommend and stay again. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

Staying at Bianca’s place was extremely good experience! She was very friendly and communicative since we arrived , during the staying and also when we left the house! House was very test fully decorated, very clean and practical ! Very good location and peaceful! I would like to thank Bianca for hosting us! After all very good experience!

Chanel was excellent at communicating and was so helpful in accommodating us for two extended stays.

We couldn’t ask for a nicer stay. Jill is probably the most laid back host I have ever met. She gives you total privacy in your stay. I have adopted her 2 goats. We love visiting with them daily. And to sit and watch her donkey with his best friend a cow is hysterical. They run together and wrestle like two dogs. I am definitely a city girl but have loved the farm. So relaxing for both of us. Definitely a place to come back too.

Bella was an awesome addition to the property. She was so sweet. The space was clean & we had what we needed. The one thing that is really needed is a bedroom door for the second bedroom.

Lovely clean and well equipped private space. Comfy bed with choices of blankets. Easy to find and enter. This is a fine space for a several night stay.

Bettyjo’s place was eclectic and cute! We had everything we needed for our stay and the space felt private with its own entrance. The location was great - it’s close to everything! Bettyjo and her husband Steve were very friendly and fun to talk with. They provided great local recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved this cabin. The location was perfect for us as my sister lived the next street over. The views were amazing! The house was equipped with everything we needed. We were thankful for the coffee station. The beds were comfortable and we were very warm and cozy. We will definitely be back.

The most perfect mountain getaway! The house was pristine, quaint, and well equipped - we were able to prepare meals easily, and the hot tub and fire pit were ready and waiting for us. We were only sad that it wasn’t warm enough to enjoy the screened in porch! Our stay was 10/10 - the owners were so kind and quick with follow-up. We can’t wait to go back!

This property was amazing, really hoping to book again. Location was beautiful, we wish we had booked more days to explore. The cabin was super clean, spacious and organized. The host was also really quick to respond and even offered restaurant recommendations. 5 stars for sure

Cozy Bear Cottage is exactly as described. It is a very peaceful and out-of-the-way mountain location. So quiet! We had 5 related adults and there was plenty of space for us to all feel comfortable, yet the family room and kitchen table allowed us all to be together for family time. Very nice full kitchen for meals. We enjoyed eating in and just hanging out in the evenings. Firepit was fun! 10 - 15 min drive to Caverns or downtown Luray with cute shops. 30 minutes to hiking in SNP. If you're looking for a private escape, but with some activities in the area - this is a great option. Thanks!

We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin! From the moment we walked in, it felt so cozy and welcoming. Everything was spotless, and the attention to detail really stood out. The cabin was stocked with everything we could have possibly needed—and even a few things we didn’t realize we’d want. The setting was stunning, and we enjoyed soaking in the peaceful, beautiful surroundings. This was the perfect place for a relaxing getaway, and we’re already looking forward to coming back someday!

Happy Bottom was an ideal location for us. It was conveniently located to our plans for hiking Bear Rocks, Seneca Rocks, and Spruce Knob, as well as explore the surrounding area. The weather was fantastic. We had bluebird skies every day, and the fall colors of the trees were in full force. While Happy Bottom sleeps six, the space was more than adequate for just two of us. The amenities were boundless and left us wanting for nothing more. October, 2024

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at this airbnb and it was exactly what we wanted. Somewhere hidden and quiet surrounded by nature. Scene drive to the place and amazing view from the cabin too! For a lift style cabin, it was still spacious for two people who were tall. 10/10 stay! Def will come back to etlan.
