Tent vacation rentals in Hampshire

We stayed for 6 nights in May half term in one of the Safari tents for our first glamping holiday (we had done camping before we had kids), it is idyllic. We are a family with 2 young children (5 and 18 months) in addition my 79 year old father came with us as well as our dog. There was plenty of room for us all in the tent and the facilities were perfect, everything was immaculately presented when we arrived and we had everything we needed. We were out doing something everyday so only used the accommodation during the morning and evening, our only issue was that we couldn't spend a little more time enjoying it! We got lucky with the weather as it only rained on 1 day and that day we were out on Brownsea Island which had good weather, so although it was wet when we returned to the campsite it didn't affect us all that much. The only issue was that since it had been raining during the day and again overnight, that night was noticeably colder than the other nights so we had to start the fire in the wood burner earlier, but we used 2 slow burning bricks in there as per each night and it wasn't really an issue. All instructions and information was clearly laid out, living on a farm is great for the children to enjoy and the honesty shop works really well to allow you to get the basics that you need when you need them. We opted to have some of the homemade pizzas on the first night for convenience, which you need to preorder by 4pm the day before and I would definitely recommend trying these. The staff were incredibly helpful pre, during and post arrival as I enquired if they knew of any local dog boarders since we wanted to spend 2 days doing activities we could not do with our dog. They provided 2 recommendations the one we picked was perfect and allowed us to enjoy our 2 days without worrying about how our dog was. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the Safari tents at Gambledown Farm as a fantastic glamping experience for anyone who wants a great staycation with a bit of rustic charm and fantastic access to the New Forest and surrounding attractions.

We had an amazing super comfortable stay this last weekend and enjoyed everything about it! The tent was lovely and the beds snuggly and comfy, we asked for our beddings to be provided and all we had to do was arrive, sit back and relax. There are only 4 tents on the site which suited us perfectly and the site is located in a beautiful and very quiet part of the forest. We cooked on the fire and also used the kitchen and the Armadillo barn, you'll find everything you need for a very happy and comfortable stay. We highly recommend Tanya & Andrew's glamping stays, we felt absolutely well cared for while able to enjoy our space peacefully and can't wait to be back.

We had such a lovely stay, only a little dampened by having a couple of rainy nights and a rainy day. Heidi and Larne were such lovely people and did so much to make us feel welcome. They were so helpful and especially keen to share information about the wonderful area in which they live. The tent and facilities were great, the bathrooms were fantastic, the kitchen is a little limited on prep space etc, but very workable. A second cooler would be useful for families staying for a whole week (we brought one with us anyway and Heidi did offer to store stuff too), but otherwise very functional for keeping fresh food. The tent was lovely inside with enough room for us all, loads of games provided and outside games and space were fantastic. Our son absolutely loved the rabbits, and enjoyed so much playing with them and also their lovely little girl Bella. Highly recommend the very nearby water park (5 mins), we all had such a blast. Also Moors Valley country park (10 mins) was awesome!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we were made very welcome by Laura then left to do our own thing. My daughter and I took our dog who settled very well with lovely woodland walks and harbour nearby which we loved paddleboarding in. We loved it highly recommend it and would def go again.

Our family glamping trip with my 18x month old grandson has been absolutely amazing we had everything we could need in our bell tent for our two night stay. Vivian has been an incredible host sharing local walks and things to do as well as showing us everything we would need on the campsite. It was great value for money as we only had to pack bedding for a single bed, food & clothes as everything else was provided for us. We will definitely be back in the future

was a really nice stay, the safari tent was Glamping+++, sight was really friendly, nice and quiet and the amenities were great, we will definitely go back, maybe with our own tent, or maybe for the full glamping experience again!!! kids loved it!!!

What a truly incredible place to have found. Buffy's tents are like a little bit of paradise, nestled in the beautiful countryside. Our family enjoyed a blissful week, with everything you could possibly have needed accounted for and by far the best glamping experience we have had. An amazing stay for Easter. Perfect waking up to the lambs and chickens Easter morning which made our daughters day. she is only 3 and we couldn't recommend a more perfect place to stay with young children. Colin and Jo are friendly hosts who have thought of everything you need and then some! the standard is extremely high making it an easy weekend glamping, giving you more time to truly relax. everything is private and enclosed ensuring a unique and intimate family experience. we loved it and will definitely be back again, highly recommended, thankyou.
