Live out your lakefront dreams from two side-by-side cabins—a cozy chalet and a charming studio guesthouse. Gather around the firepit (or the fireplaces) and sip your coffee as you look out on the water. Just 12 minutes from Roscoe and a little over 2 hours from New York City, this is the perfect place to get away and dive into your peaceful home away from home.

The space
Update: The pontoon boat is currently under repair and is therefore unavailable. Both kayaks, the paddleboard, floats and lawn games are available for guests!
Direct lake access and just the right amount of space for a romantic getaway, long weekend reconnecting with friends or making memories with family. You’ll have access to both cabins with a SmartLock, so no need to worry about keys!
Main cabin
There is a small set of stairs leading you to the front door of the main cabin. You'll walk into the kitchen, where you have all cookware basics, gas stove, microwave and dishware to chef up any meal. A drip coffee maker and kettle are waiting for your morning fuel or evening warm-up. The first floor also contains a queen-size bedroom, a living room with smart TV for movies and streaming, dining area with seating for 6, and full bathroom with standing shower. In the heart of the home is a stone fireplace ideal for cozying up–we include a small bundle of wood and fire starter to kick you off!
Up the stairs on the second floor are three bedrooms–one with a queen bed and beautiful view of the lake, one with a twin and another with two twin beds (all twins have comfortable memory foam padding)--and a cute half bath. Each bedroom has a closet and/or drawer chests to store items. The basements, along with a few closets throughout the houses, are not accessible.
Guest cabin
Right across the connected walkway is the guest cabin: a studio with a queen bed, full bath with standing shower, and kitchenette with Nespresso machine, hot plate, mini-fridge, microwave and toaster oven.
The great outdoors
The cabin set-up encourages time outside with a grand wrap-around deck and seating for you to soak it all in. We have a firepit close to the lake, a dock with a picnic table that’ll fit everyone who wants to play a card game, and two Adirondack chairs to sit wherever the view invites you.
During the summer (Memorial Day through end of September), we have a paddle board, kayaks and an electric pontoon boat (fits 2 people) available for your use! A grill, and a deck perfect for morning coffees or shared meals, with lawn games are at your disposal. The lake is non-motorized, meaning it is peacefully quiet and open for your favorite water activities.
We have parking for up to 4 cars right across the shared driveway. Any useful guidance we have on the house will be shared in a house manual, in which we will also include local recommendations!
Nature and what’s around us:
In the winter and spring (or anytime it is raining), note that the driveway and parts of the land may be wet and muddy. In the winter, we recommend ensuring your car has all-wheel drive and/or has winter tires. The driveway slopes downhill and we do get snow up here!
The joys of being surrounded by such greenery and water also come with some inevitable truths: depending on the season, you may encounter things such as insects (mosquitos, ticks, spiders, ants), deer, fox, field mice and coyotes. In general, keep a close eye on pets and don’t let any food or scraps outside or out of trash/recycling bins that are located inside the cabins.
We have great neighbors next door! Kindly be mindful of noise levels.
Lake rules:
Swim and boat at your own risk.
We have life jackets available and recommend you use them.
No diving off the docks–it is shallow along the shoreline.
Guest access
Everything except for the basements, along with a few closets throughout the houses, are available for guests.
Other things to note
Please help us keep the lake healthy by leaving your own water gadgets like boats and floats at home. It’s a big help in keeping our lake pristine. Alternatively, we can help set up an inspection and cleaning when you arrive so that you can use your watercraft and request a heads up to schedule! No exceptions can be made for motorized items—Lake Muskoday is exclusively a non-motorized lake.
