The Stable is a self-contained annexe to our Grade 2 listed barn conversion. Located on a private road in a conservation area just a few miles outside the historic town of Shrewsbury. Private entrance & free private parking.
You will be surrounded by numerous walking routes and National Cycle Routes, The Shropshire Hills, AONB. The Welsh border is only a few miles away which acts as a gateway to Mid & North Wales.

The space
The Stable is a real ‘home from home’ where you can relax after your day. The space is mostly open plan with a feature wall dividing the lounge area and the bedroom area.
There is a small kitchenette which includes a kettle, toaster and a combination microwave and air fryer. Please note that there is no oven or hob.
The lounge area has a comfortable corner sofa and a flat screen TV.
The bedroom area has a double bed with an orthopaedic mattress. A sliding door leads you to the en-suite where you can access the walk-in electric shower.
Decorated eclectically with a mixture of old and new pieces of furniture, fixtures and fittings makes it a welcoming space.
We provide coffee, tea, sugar and fresh semi skimmed milk. Please let us know when booking if you require a different milk. There is an under counter fridge in the kitchen where you can store chilled food and drinks.
All bed linen and bathroom towels are freshly laundered for your stay.
Free Wi-Fi is provided, the password will be written on the sign in the kitchen.
We have a Freeview TV. You are welcome to bring along your own Firestick or other devices and you can log into your own streaming services using the free Wi-Fi.
There is a Bistro Table to eat at which can also be used as a workspace for when working away from home.

There is free on-site parking available for one car. Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring more than one car so suitable arrangements can be made.
Guest access
You will have full access to all of The Stable as it is a separate part of our home with it's own front door.
The entrance door is located within the open porch area that connects The Stable to our main home.
The entrance door key is stored in a wall mounted key safe beside the door. The key safe code will be sent to you the day before your arrival.
Other things to note
We do not have a charging point for an electric vehicle and we do not allow our domestic supply to be used for this purpose. There are several public charging points within a very short drive at the Oxon Priory pub and at the Co-op supermarket.
The Stable can sleep a maximum of 2 x people.
If you are booking for friend or colleague, please do let us know when making your booking.
There are regular buses to and from Shrewsbury.
Local taxi services are also available.
An iron, Ironing board are available and are located in the storage cupboard.
A Dyson purifying hot & cold fan is available for you use.
No burning of candles.
No burning of incense or josticks.
No naked flames.
No dogs / pets are permitted.
No smoking or vaping.
No children (2 - 12).
No infants (0 - 2) as there are no facilities to accommodate children or infants.
Please refrain from using beauty, make-up or other body products that contain colourings and oils, as these may stain or tarnish fabrics such as lounge furniture, bed linen, towels and tea towels.
A charge will be applied for any items that need to be replaced.
2 adult guests only.
There are no facilities for children or infants. There is no bath, cot or anywhere for a child or infant to sleep. Sleeping on the sofa in the lounge is not permitted for adults, children and infants.
As The Stable is located in a peaceful private road of only 5 residential homes, we kindly request that you respect our neighbours by refraining from having any parties or playing any loud music or TV programmes.
