Shielded in the pines, our well-appointed cabin offers a quiet escape within a scenic 25-minute drive to Sugarbush and Mad River Glen. It’s an ideal base for skiing, hiking, swimming holes or fly fishing the nearby Mad River. After a day of adventure, enjoy local dining or cook a gourmet meal in our chef’s kitchen. The space
"Pine Tree Hideaway"

Stretch out on the sectional sofa in the cozy living room enjoying the warmth of the propane stove in colder months. In warmer weather, read a book or nap on the daybed in the screened-in porch lulled by the sounds of the brook. The open layout chef’s kitchen has been appointed with every appliance and cookware you could ever need to show off your culinary skills.

On the first floor you’ll find the timber frame style kitchen and great room with a cozy spot to do some work or enjoy a coffee in front of seasonal peek-a-boo views of the Mad River. The living and dining rooms are located on this level along with one bedroom outfitted with a queen size bed. You will also find a newly renovated bathroom with a custom made vanity, glass-enclosed shower and washer/dryer.

The upper level is perfectly suited for a family with its large private bedroom with king bed. Across the landing is the entrance to a sleeping loft outfitted with a set of twin beds with direct access to a loft playroom with games, puzzles and wooden toys. (Please note that the 3rd "bedroom" is open on one side to the loft so not fully private).

The home accommodates up to six guests and offers Wi-Fi and a smart TV.

Guest access
Guests may use the fire pit but wood and kindling are not provided. Firewood bundles are sold at local supermarkets and hardware stores such as Shaw's and Bisbees which are both located in Waitsfield.

Other things to note
Winter Travel: The property is located at the top of a steep driveway off an unpaved road. The roads and driveway leading to Pine Tree Hideaway are well plowed and sanded during the winter nevertheless all-wheel drive vehicles with all season tires ARE A MUST for snow and mud season. If your vehicle is front wheel drive only, snow tires will be necessary in the winter months. When driving in these conditions, be advised to take it slow.

Security: Please note that the property has an active Ring camera on the exterior.

Occupancy: The property has a maximum occupancy limit of 6 people. We cannot accept extra guests under any circumstances.

Pets: Absolutely no pets of any kind are allowed.
