Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.

Garden view

Soak up the view during your stay.
The Pico Cottage is adjacent to our award-winning restaurant in historic Los Alamos, surrounded by edible gardens.

The space
Great cottage with all the amenities, just steps from historic Bell Street. Located behind the Pico Restaurant and The Los Alamos General Store. The cottage has everything you need: all cooking utensils, comfy furniture, and a luxurious bed.

Guest access
The whole cottage is yours, and the back yard of the restaurant is yours to roam freely. There is a fire pit at the back of the yard, which you are welcome to build a fire in. Please note that the restaurant shares the back yard with the cottage. On a busy night at Pico (and at times further exaggerated by outdoor dining restrictions), there can be noise from diners until 9 or 10PM.

Other things to note
Please also note that the cottage is a very old building. We give it a thorough, deep cleaning between every stay, but despite this it can appear a bit "aged" to some folks.

Neighborhood highlights

Los Alamos has been called "Little LA" by many of the wine and food writers that have fallen in love with the town over the past decade. Many LA families have relocated or own second homes here because of its safe, small-town vibe and amazing dining options. Don't miss Bob's Wellbread Bakery for coffee and breakfast, Bell Street Farm and Bell's for lunch, and Pico, Bell's or Full of Life Flatbread for dinner. We are also in the heart of the Santa Barbara wine country. Tasting rooms in town include Municipal Winemakers, Lo-Fi, Lumen and Bedford.

I am a winemaker and restaurant owner. I own and operate Lumen, a producer of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Santa Barbara County, and Pico, a restaurant in Los Alamos. In my spare time I love to surf, hike, travel, and make children laugh. I am also the founder of a surfing non-profit called Save The Waves Coalition. My wife and four kids live in Orcutt, CA.
