Think poolside lounging in the morning, beach afternoons just down the road, and sunset cocktails on the deck at night. Whether you’re gathering with family or celebrating with friends, OBXLanai is the kind of place where the days are full and the memories last.

The layout of the home provides a nice open upper level to gather while the second level is a great spot to retreat for privacy and rest in your bedrooms. New paint and flooring throughout main area! Pool, multi-level outdoor porches (water views from some and others are screened-in), Hibatchi grill, horseshoe pits, outdoor shower, and basketball hoop provide enjoyment for all to enjoy the wonderful North Carolina weather!

As for the electronics - there is a DVD player in the living room with a 55 inch Smart TV. All but 1 bedroom have Smart TVs connected to Dish Network!

Guests will have full access to the entire home including lots of fun kitchen appliances (Vitamixer, popcorn maker, juicer, salad spinner, crockpot, mini food processor, steamer pots, stock pot, Mr. Coffee pot, Kerig, coffee bean grinder) AND lots of Beach accessories: cart, chairs, umbrellas, cooler with wheels, body boards, beach games, couple fishing rods, etc!!

Also for your convenience: baby gates, high chair, and pack & play!

Top-notch. Even the shell collecting. Determining the origin of many Outer Banks town names is a study of history and sometimes even pirate lore (see Kill Devil Hills).
As for Duck’s namesake, it’s exactly what you might expect. Hunters and gatherers have been flocking to the area since the 1800’s for its abundant waterfowl. Thus, Duck.
This resort town has an impressive reputation for great beaches, water sports and outdoor adventures, first-class events including a nationally-known Jazz Festival, fine dining, and eclectic shopping. Bounded by the Currituck Sound to the west, and the Atlantic Ocean to the east, visitors delight in great kayaking, jet skiing, fishing, and much more.
The beaches, many named among the top in the nation, are private and afford great shell collecting opportunities, especially in the offseason when the pickings are flush. Some local restaurants offer open air dining and most of the Town’s shops and restaurants are connected by the Duck Trail that runs the entire length of the town parallel to Highway 12 or by the sound-side boardwalk which offers premium views of the Currituck Sound.

Despite phenomenal growth the past few years, Duck still feels like a charming resort town. The 500 permanent residents are tucked in among some of the Outer Banks most gorgeous and extravagant vacation homes. Regardless of where you’re staying in Duck, be sure to spend some time exploring the Duck Town Park and its many amenities including the boardwalk, walking trails, and fun rentals. With these many things to do, you won’t be disappointed.
