Welcome to Let’s Get Lost Cabin, a boutique Alaskan retreat beneath Seward’s breathtaking mountain peaks.

Slow down, reconnect with nature, and enjoy genuine homestead hospitality. Wake to mountain views, sip locally roasted coffee, and relax on your private deck. After a day of hiking, fishing, or exploring, return to your cozy custom-built cabin.

Seasonal touches may include fresh eggs, garden herbs, vegetables, and other homestead treats. Your Alaskan adventure begins here.

The space
The cabin is a custom-built, private retreat located separately from our home on our property, giving you your own peaceful space while keeping us nearby if you need anything.

The cabin includes a fully equipped kitchen with a charming retro refrigerator and range, a private bathroom with endless on-demand hot water, comfortable living space, and a private deck overlooking the surrounding mountains and garden.

The queen bed is located in a cozy sleeping loft accessed by a ship’s ladder. For additional sleeping space, the sofa pulls out into a comfortable bed.

One of the special touches at Let’s Get Lost Cabin is our commitment to natural, handcrafted products. Your host is an herbalist who makes small-batch soaps, body wash, salves, lotions, and lip balms using botanicals grown and infused here on the property whenever possible. The soap, body wash, and lotion provided for your stay are handcrafted exclusively for our guests.

Our property is also a working little homestead. Friendly chickens, our dog, indoor cats, and parrots call the property home. Depending on the season, you may also encounter moose, bears, rabbits, and a variety of birds visiting the property.

Guest access
You’ll have the entire cabin exclusively to yourselves during your stay.

Entry is simple and convenient with a personalized door code that is changed for every guest, allowing you to come and go while enjoying complete privacy.

You’ll also have access to your private deck and the peaceful surroundings immediately around the cabin.

Because the cabin is located on our private property, you may occasionally see or hear us going about our daily lives, as well as our animals enjoying the homestead.

Other things to note
A Few Things to Know Before Booking

The queen bed is located in a cozy sleeping loft that is accessed by a ship’s ladder. Guests should be comfortable climbing a ladder to reach the bed. A pull-out sofa is available on the main level for additional sleeping space.

Our property is surrounded by the beauty of Alaska, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors right from your doorstep. Guests have access to a hammock and a fire pit with seating, perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee, enjoying an evening fire, stargazing, or simply taking in the mountain air. We are also just steps away from berry picking and foraging, depending on the season. Of course, fishing, hiking, wildlife watching, and countless other outdoor sports and adventures are all right here in the area.

Our property is home to chickens, a dog, indoor cats, and parrots. Wildlife also occasionally visits, including moose, bears, rabbits, and many species of birds. Please remain wildlife aware whenever you are outside and never approach or feed wildlife.

Depending on the season, guests may have the opportunity to enjoy fresh eggs, garden vegetables, herbs, berries, or other seasonal offerings from our homestead. Availability varies naturally with the season, so these are a special bonus rather than something we can guarantee.

Cleanliness and guest comfort are very important to us. The cabin is professionally cleaned and sanitized before every arrival, and we use an ozone treatment between guests as part of our cleaning routine.

We maintain a quiet, relaxing atmosphere, so Let’s Get Lost Cabin is best suited for guests looking for a peaceful getaway rather than late-night gatherings or parties.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate pets due to guest allergies.

Above all, we hope your stay gives you a chance to slow down, breathe in the mountain air, gather around the fire, swing in the hammock, explore the land, and enjoy the incredible beauty of Alaska right outside your door. We want you to experience a little of the genuine Alaskan hospitality that makes Let’s Get Lost Cabin so special.

Neighborhood highlights

Let’s Get Lost cabin is located in the beautiful Lost Lake area, just 5 miles north of down town Seward. Lost Lake hiking trails are among the best trails offered on the Kenai Peninsula. This trail is open year round to hiking, biking and snow machines in the winter months.
You are in the center of any nature lovers paradise; Hiking the many other nearby trails, exploring old mining roads, sport fishing the lakes, streams or bay, kayaking, zip line, Kenai Fjords tours, Sealife Center, or shopping in the quaint local shops down town. Your hosts can help you choose just the right spot.
Down town Seward is a quaint town with just under 3000 residents and no stop lights. We have our local "mall" that doubles as a grocery store, friendly shops, and amazing restaurants. If you are out for an adventure, we have it all from glaciers to float plane tours. If you want some city life we are just 130 miles of a gorgeous scenic drive from Anchorage, where you will find more city type amenities. On your way to Anchorage, or passing it coming into Seward, is Moose Pass. Your host is from this booming town that has less than 200 residents. Stop into the family store, Estes Brothers, built in 1928 and enjoy an espresso or ice cream. Although there is plenty of fishing right here in Seward or on our local charters, you are just 45 miles away from the Kenai River, known for an incredible fishing experience.
