The Good Life River House luxury barndominium is located on a paved road at access point #1 of the Santa Fe Paddling Trail with numerous springs to explore year-round! Guests can access the river directly from the property with kayaks and tubes provided. This stylish retreat offers seclusion and peaceful river vibes just 2 miles from downtown High Springs, close to UF and Shands.
An amazing, forested natural sanctuary outside, pure style and luxury inside! You have to feel it to believe it!

The space
Enjoy family time in our spacious open living area with fireplace, large screen TV, and massive windows that let the outdoors in. Cook up a gourmet meal in our fully equipped kitchen and enjoy dinner conversation while gathered around the huge kitchen island, or take your dining outdoors to our patio seating area.
Each bedroom has its own large screen TV, full in-suite bath, and independent climate control. The master has a wonderful, deep soaker tub.
Head out to the rec room to enjoy a game of darts, or take the available kayaks or floats right through the overhead door, down the walking path through our forested backyard to a private gate to the High Springs Boat Ramp to launch your river adventure!
Need some solitude? Cozy up with a good book on one of the chaise lounges on the back patio, our 2 person hammock overlooking the river, or venture through the private gate at the back of the property to an absolutely magical spot along the river under a canopy of trees! From here, you can spot a variety of birds, turtles, and perhaps an otter playing in the gently flowing waters.
In the evening, gather on the patio or stoke up a fire in the firepit and enjoy the sounds of nature, including our resident owls who frequently call out to each other from their perches high in the canopy!
Our 1.25 acre property with 230' of riverfront is a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat, and a Florida Springs Friendly yard. With our numerous bird feeders, bird, bat, and owl houses, TGLRH is a nature lover, photographer, or birders' dream come true!

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire 1.25 acre property, which includes 230' of riverfront and a private gate to the High Springs Boat Ramp.

Other things to note
This land is sacred, and we keep it fairly wild in accordance with local conservation guidelines. We respectfully ask that our guests tread lightly on the terrain and leave nothing but footprints. :)

River activities and access to the river from the property carry inherent risks, so guests need to be mindful at all times and watch children carefully.

We live 8 miles from the river house and spend a lot of time there when we are not hosting. I have a favorite spot on the riverbank that I go to sit, reflect, and play my Native American flute. One of our favorite things to do is sit on the patio and watch the MANY squirrels and birds that call our property home. And of course, we like to get out on the river as much as possible! The springs are heavenly in the colder months when they feel like bathwater compared to the air temperature.
