The space
Middleham is famous for its castle and race horse connections, with a great range of pubs, restaurants, playgrounds and leisure spaces and shops. Forge End Cottage is situated conveniently in the cobbled market place, you will be able to walk to the amenities in minutes and watch the race horses riding past on a morning.
There are numerous scenic walks/bike routes from right outside the front door - suitable for all ages and abilities. Our favourite is along the River Cover, which is a 10 minute walk away with loads of paddling/wild swimming spots. Middleham playing fields, with a skate park and communal green area, is less than a 5 minute walk, as is the castle. The nearest pub, the Black Bull, can be reached in less than 10 steps!

We are equipped for families, and can provide travel cots, high chairs, baby gates and other safety equipment on request.
Dogs are welcome for a small cleaning surcharge.
