Farrier's house is a renovated barn conversion that was previously a farm shop. The house is located in the village of Stainton which is located 5 mins from the edge of the Lake District.

It is only 5 minutes from Penrith, 10 minutes from Ullswater and 20 minutes from Keswick.

Dogs are more than welcome!

We also rent out Black Mesa on AirBnB should you need another property for friends and family!

We live just down the road and so if you have any questions or problems we can quickly help.

The space
Downstairs there are three bedrooms. All three of the bedrooms have king sized beds and third bedroom also has a bunk bed (only suitable for children).

In the spacious bathroom, there is a toilet, large bath and separate shower. There is also a heated towel rail, shaver point and lighted mirror.

Upstairs there is a very large open planned dining and sitting room.

The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, electric cooker, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge-freezer, toaster, microwave, kettle and coffee machine.

There is also an upstairs toilet.

There is a high chair and a travel cot available.

There is off road parking in the yard next to the house.

Neighborhood highlights

Stainton has a lovely pub which is next door to the village shop and Post Office. The village hall hosts lots of events including a monthly farmers' market and cafe.

Rheged Centre is only a couple of minutes away and they regularly host events like the Cumbria Life Home & Garden Show. They also have a huge cinema screen, some nice shops, a gallery, soft play and cafes.

Ullswater is only a 10 minute drive. It is a beautiful lake and we would recommend walking part or all of the Ullswater Way for the best views of the lake.

Hello! We live on the edge of the lake district with our son and have two dogs plus a brood of chickens. Charley is a science teacher and I work in construction. Our interests include baking, board games and gardening. As a family we love going out in the canoe on Ullswater or taking the dogs out for a nice long walk.
