Cape Fear Community College is next door. Many great restaurants are within 100 steps of the building. Yet it is secreted from the rabble of downtown in an eclectic, converted Pontiac dealership, circa 1950.
The space
This fun boho space is roomy and comfortable, with a romantic vibe. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, pans, glassware, and cooking essentials. The lighting is mellow and cozy. There is lots of light in the daytime and you can hear the distant buzz of the party that's constantly a block from your door in downtown Wilmington. Go enjoy it without ever getting in a car.
There are plenty of towels for bathing and the beach. And you are steps from the Cape Fear river, the Wilmington food scene, a pub crawl, speakeasies, and more.
Guest access
Secure underground parking (where Pontiac used to store all the cars when this building was their dealership).
Coin-op laundry facility onsite.
Other things to note
Two-level loft:
Kitchen and living room on the ground floor. Loft bedroom (overlooking the living room) and bathroom upstairs. It's a long straight flight of steep stairs. If stairs concern you, please see the pictures before renting.

Neighborhood highlights
This place is so "downtown" you can walk to every bar and restaurant in Wilmington's hippest neighborhood. You will be so local that you will know where the locals eat and even who the locals are by the time you leave. The Riverwalk is two blocks away. The other residents of this 1950s car dealership that was converted to condos in the 90s are friendly, know the ropes, and are always ready to help you find the best meal, best bar, and the inside word on what to do for fun.

Lives in Wilmington, North Carolina
I am a novelist and working writer and have lived in Wilmington, off and on, for 20 years. (You can find my recent novel Vice Report on Amazon. I write as C. X. Wood.
Both of my kids grew up here. So if you have questions about the town, ask away.
My favorite things about Wilmington: The ocean is 85 degrees in summer. The downtown is rich with history. And the people are lovely. And the party, downtown, never ends.
Downtown Wilmington is a very hip, happening place. There are many great restaurants live music venues within blocks of this condo.
Because my condo is downtown -- a block from the late-night action -- you can go out without worrying about driving home. It is just far enough away from the nightlife to be quiet. Because we have an underground, dedicated parking space, you will never have to look for parking.
