15 minutes from Whitby and just a short drive from Danby Castle and Danby Train station, you are in the heart of the York Moors, one of the highest houses in Yorkshire in fact.

With break-taking views, this well equipped and comfortable cottage sleeps 6 adults comfortably and house trained pets are welcome.

Relax in front of the fire, or enjoy the glorious sunset after a day hiking, visiting local towns like Whitby, Runswick and York or recuperate after weddings and party at Danby Castle.🏰

The property is a rustic Victorian farmhouse that has been extended into a three bedroom family home suitable for holidays of 2 weeks or simply just a long weekend away with your friends family and well behaved pets who are most welcome in the house also. The cottage is old in age and in the middle of the North York moors and therefore it has lots of character and charm about it. It certainly isn’t a new build property with clean lines and straight walls; which is part of which charm! Please bear in mind that whilst Castleton village is only 4-5 mins drive away, it is quite remote, in the middle of the countryside.

It is my holiday home that I spend my spare time at with my own friends and family; we hope you love it as much as we do!

Guest access
Guests will have full access to the house and the annex comprising of three double bedrooms altogether there is a bathroom and a shower room and we encourage you to use the water sensibly when staying with us as the house water supply comes from a natural spring. The water is okay to drink and to shower in and has a UV system to help filter and clean the supply. There is also gas central heating with radiators in all of the rooms as well as an AGA which can be used in winter months and a small annex kitchen which is used in the spring and summer months which has Bosch appliances that are electric and induction meaning there is a good range of cooking and appliance sources throughout the property.

You can separate the annex from the house which is great for multigenerational families for instance however, just one of the kitchens is set up for use with an electric fan assisted oven and induction hob, air fryer, microwave and toaster.
