Casa Zunum is a recently renovated colonial house in Merida’s Centro. This amazing mix of colonial and modern house is a perfect base to explore the Centro district and Old Town of Merida as well as the pyramids and archeological sites. The house is in walking distance from many different shops, restaurants and bars like famous La Negrita, Santa Lucia park (a charming old world style plaza and park with trees and benches), Mercado Santiago and Mercado 60, Zocalo, Paseo Montejo.

The space
The name “Zunum” has its origin in Mayan “x ts’unu’um”, which means "Colibri" or "Hummingbird", a regular guest in our garden in the early mornings. We hope you will enjoy your stay at casa Zunum as much as the Hummingbird Zunum does.

Casa Zunum has a perfect blend of old colonial charm and modern amenities and perfect location.

It includes:

Located in the front part of the house, thus separated from the other 2 rooms in the backyard. Comes with 2 full-size beds, workdesk, ceiling fan, full ensuite bathroom, air conditioning.

Bedrooms "Jungle" and "Zunum"
Located in the back part of the house. Each room has a king size bed, an ensuite bathroom, workdesk, ceiling fan, air conditioning. Room "Zunum" features a balcony overlooking the pool and garden.

The pool is not heated but has a perfect temperature for cooling off and re-energize in the afternoon after a long day of exploring in the tropical, humid Merida’s climate.

There is a washer / dryer at your disposal.

The security of our guests is very important to us. Therefore one camera is set up in the entrance hall. In order to protect your privacy there are no other cameras inside the house/guest living spaces.

Electricity is the most expensive utility in Yucatan. Please note, that electricity consumption exceeding 30kwh/day will be charged separately. The meter will be read at your arrival & departure to determine the electricity usage during your stay. The applicable rate is 3,5 MXN per kWh. The respective amount is payable in cash at check-out.
