Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Gogebic County

The location was excellent. It was calm and serene. The scenery was breathtaking. The establishment was exceptionally clean. The beds were very comfortable. The lake was beautiful and enjoyable to explore. The smallmouth fishing was fantastic, although there weren't many panfish or walleye in the lake. We also tried muskie fishing but were unsuccessful. There was a local muskie tournament taking place, and the boat we spoke with had no luck either. The fishing is enjoyable for casual anglers. However, for serious fishermen, Oxbow Lake may not offer the caliber of fish one might expect.

We had a great time !!! The Swiss hut 1 and 2 provided us our needs after a long day of exploring the area. Cozy and warm . Great place to gather with friends and family. Thank you and hope we can come back in the near future.

We really enjoyed our stay last year and this year at Collin’s lake home. Beautiful, peaceful and private location. A do k, 2 kayaks, inflatable rafts, and bikes gave us the outdoors time we were seeking. Plenty of hot water for showers and comfortable beds. Kitchen is beautiful and has everything you need. We also appreciated the ramp to the home, level walk from the house to the docks and walk-in shower for my Dad’s ease of use.

My Dad and I stayed at Steve's place for a quick snowmobile trip in the UP for 2 nights. His house was perfect, very clean and had everything you need for a perfect home away from home experience, will definitely be back if we're ever up that way again! Thanks for sharing your home with us!!

House was exactly as advertised. Tara was awesome and very helpful. Neighbor's were nice as well. It snowed a ton while we were there, but there were a couple of snow shovels so we shoveled snow - this was by choice. Tara and the neighbors offered to help but we are from Texas and shoveling snow was a unique experience for us, so we did it ourselves for fun. The town is very charming and we had fun exploring the area. We hiked to Interstate Falls, visited the Hiawatha statue, and shopped in the downtown area. The house was cozy and warm and we all slept great despite it being below freezing outside the entire time we were there.

Great house in the heart of Ironwood. Convenient to everything on quiet street. Will definitely stay again.

we stayed for work! coming back each night after a Long Day's work it was nice to have a lot of space and more than one shower. we had our pets and the dogs absolutely loved being by the water! would stay again for sure if we ever work in the area again

The place was easy to find thanks to the host’s clear instructions and was spotless when we arrived. The apartment was cute and perfectly centralized for our overnight stay while we drove around the UP and Northern Wisconsin for the weekend and was worth the price. I would definitely recommend this location if anyone is considering staying in the area!

A great location. In walking distance to a ski lift. The place was clean and it was awesome being able to have a fire in the fire place. Peter checked in with us in person to see if we needed anything. Also, he was very responsive to a couple questions I had prior to arriving. We will be back.

Our group had a blast here for a weekend of skiing! It was great to be right on the run. The wood stove was so cozy after long days of skiing. The hosts are very responsive, which was so appreciated. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you!

This is an amazing place to stay while adventuring the UP with your pups! Highly recommend! :)

We were in the area to visit the porcupine mountains and Joseph's basement apartment worked great. We were about 30 minutes from the western tip of the park. We packed a lunch and spent our days in the mountains. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for making meals along with various travel brochures for options of what to do in the area.

Great place for a skiing getaway. Our kids loved the hot tub and retro video games. Great hosts and easy check-in/check out process.
