House vacation rentals in Gloucester

What a fabulous place to celebrate my wife’s birthday with 3 other couples. So much room, spacious kitchen and drawing room, conservatory and two more rooms we didn’t even use! Added bonus was a lovely pool and hot tub overlooking g beautiful rolling hills.

We had a fab family weekend at Lesa and Laurence's place. It's a beautiful location with plenty of outdoor space to explore and enjoy. The house has real character and the hosts were really helpful.

The host graciously accepted a very last-minute 5-night booking and jumped on making arrangements for our stay. The property was very clean and tidy and exactly as described. Everything worked properly and the host provided detailed access and parking instructions that were invaluable. The Estate is very peaceful this time of year (December) and we had near-solo use of the Spa facilities and on site restaurant when we wanted them. As a dog-friendly property a secure/enclosed rear space would be welcome, but the private Estate no doubt has limitations that might make this hard. Bear this in mind if your dog tends to wander or head straight into the Thames! You’ll need to remember to keep them on a lead/line in the rear garden. Note that there’s plenty of off lead space next to the lake a couple of minutes walk away actoss the road. We re really enjoyed the wood-fired hot tub, which was easier to use than expected, and we made use of the car charger - both are perfect additions.

Perfect place for our active group of 5. Easy to walk to restaurants, cafes, places of interest and great to return to a cosy home with treats provided by our host... brownies, breakfast items, and basics. Wood burner was a treat as it was a blustery weekend. Would love to return in the summer!

Fantastic house, lots to do either with a group or if you wanted time to yourself. The pool was amazing along with the hot tub and the games room was entertaining. The kitchen is a great hosting space also.

We loved our stay at Lucy's place, it was beautiful, spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The grounds that the Coach House are in are just gorgeous and Lucy was kind enough to show us around. We'd love to come back in warmer months to enjoy them more and use the tennis court and swimming pool. We really enjoyed that The Fleece Inn pub was such a short walk through the grounds. The perfect comfortable base for exploring the Cotswolds!

We absolutely loved our stay at Charles’ beautiful Coach House. The photos don’t actually do it justice. It’s a delightful cottage brimming with country chic. The grounds are beautiful and we didn’t even use our vehicle the entire weekend instead choosing to walk to the nearby villages. We loved being there in winter but would like to come again in the summer too! Highly recommended.

Lovely property, met our needs well for a large family get together with young children. Well equipped kitchen, gorgeous views. The site itself had all we needed for a great weekend and we added shooting and archery at Cotswold Range next door which was within walking distance and fab afternoon. The spa on site was lovely and the outdoor pool fresh! The kids loved the indoor pool. The on site restaurant was great for our first night there. All in all fabulous.

Anne was a totally 'star' hostess! She provides a wonderful haven, one that I have just left after staying nearly 8 weeks. Thoughtful use of the space, providing everything needed for a self contained unit, as well as your own bathroom + front door. Very quiet area but close to bus routes into town and other areas. Morrison's supermarket 10 minutes walk away. Spar etc, closer. Very informative folder with lots of local information. Anne answered queries speedily. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. Thank you Anne, you are the best hostess! x

We’ve just come back from Jennys after our yearly pre Christmas get together. The property was easy to find and was big enough for the 6 of us. Everything we needed was there. The property is ideally located for walking into town and The Bell, being on 5 minutes walk away, was an ideal place to enjoy an even evening meal. All in all we all agreed that it was one of the best places we’ve stayed and hope to stay again next year……..a definite 10 out of 10!

Great property, very clean and good location away from the city

The place is absolutely perfect. Very homely. It has everything you would need. The host is very responsive, and made everything simple. We managed a short walk to the local pub, which was charming too. We couldn’t have had a better stay and would love to come back!

Excellent location within easy distance of bars, pubs, restaurants and shops. Easy to check in and flexible on check in and check out. Very well appointed and kitted out accommodation which was very clean and lacked nothing. Comfortable beds and linens. Very sociable space. Helpful, responsive and informative hosts. The eight of us had a fantastic stay in such a lovely house.

We returned this year again to celebrate Christmas (early) with family. The house is warm, cosy and there’s plenty of space. The kitchen is full of everything you might need. Everything works beautifully. Beds are very comfortable and plenty of hot water to shower/bath. Lovely pub/cafe within a 3 minute walk. We will be back.

Debbie's place was a perfect base to explore Upton. spacious yet cosy and well presented. The house is within a stone's throw of many restaurants and pubs and there are good walking routes around the local area.

Stayed as a stag group this weekend filling the whole house. Nice aesthetics, very clean and a well equipped kitchen. The lounge was the perfect size to fit us all in and the place was private enough to enjoy the time together. Walking distance into town with plenty of pubs and markets as well as a convenience store across the road (it closes at 7pm). We took the train to Leamington Spa on Saturday which was only 10-15 minute walk. Emma was a very accommodating and conscientious host. She is very proud of the property and is very available when we needed some extra parking permits or advice about the location. Obviously not a typical stag location but the property was great and the town itself had some nice pubs for the time we spent there. Most of the guys in the group were considering revisiting for trips with their partners!

Our family of 4 enjoyed Ian’s place. It’s a spacious space in a historic and nicely decorated place. I love the furnishing, the clever use of staircase leading to the bathroom on the top floor. We love chilling in the living room with a fireplace. The kitchen is very well stocked and we even managed to cook dinner and breakfast there easily. The house is situated in the heart of Bourton on water and peaceful at night. Initially, we were unsure how to enter the house but Ian was very responsive and pick up our call to guide us. Love the stay here. You won’t regret staying here.

Wow! You couldn’t wish to find a more beautiful setting for a cosy break in the Cotswolds! We had the most amazing time at the Barn. We stayed for just the weekend but wish we could have stayed for longer. The barn is a stunning renovation in a picturesque setting, immaculately tidy, spacious, beautifully dressed throughout, a little slice of English paradise. Our hosts Becky & Tom were so helpful and lovely, they gave us a host of recommendations, from restaurants, pubs and bars to local farm shops and walks. We were greeted with a variety of local treats on arrival. Communication was fantastic and they made us feel so at home. If you’re looking for a romantic break or a little peaceful getaway, you must visit the barn! We will definitely be returning and can’t thank Becky & Tom enough for making our stay so special. Can’t wait to go back x

We had a great stay. Check in was easy, and Ashley checked in on us after the red weather warning. No complaints was just what we needed for a weekend away and will be booking up again!

Fantastic location for a family to get together with her adult children. We wanted somewhere spacious with open living and were too bothered about being in a town with facilities. It had everything we needed for a fantastic long weekend and plenty of kitchen equipment for us to cook a full Thanksgiving meal for 12! Only slight criticism was that if you like a lie in in the morning the noise from people in the living area upstairs is pretty loud!

This is a very spacious, warm, clean, comfortable, and well-equipped bungalow with off-road private parking. Great location tucked away on a tiny development just off one end of the High Street, but very quiet. Easy walking distance to all the main sights and areas. The owner is really helpful and responsive, and instructions to find the property were spot-on - follow these rather than your SatNav on the final approach. Parking might be a squeeze for a large vehicle, best to reverse into the gated courtyard. A great stay, thank-you!
