We absolutely enjoyed our staying at Anthony's. Anthony was very responsive, flexible, kind and considerate. He welcomed us in person, turned on the fireplace before we arrived, and prepared a loaf, fresh milk, tea bags and coffee for us. The cottage was newly refurbished, very spacious and warm, very clean. Sitting in the beautiful garden watching sheet grazing was a lovely treat.

Woodpecker cottage exceeded our expectations and provided the perfect retreat for a countryside getaway. Hilary made us and our two dogs feel right at home and we would love to return at some point in the future!

Nat and I enjoyed a nice escape to the countryside at the Sparrow in Kirkoswald. The flat has strong cottage vibes and we loved the fireplace! The flat was warm at all times, as the heating is connected with the main house where Fi and Wade stay and it's on daily. But the fireplace is very quick at warming up the flat even more. We had everything, from a large amount of wood to burn, to fresh milk in the fridge. The kitchen was very well stocked with utensils, while the bathroom is very modern and comfortable. Bed and sofa were as comfortable. The local pub makes very nice fish and chips and it's a few meters down the hill. The Sparrow was super easy to find thanks to Fi and Wade precise instructions. Many hikes in the lake district are a short drive away. Highly recommended and will definitely be back!

absolutely wonderful stay, Bramble Cottage is neatly tucked behind the host's home in a very tranquil and peaceful part of the Eden Valley not too far to drive to Penrith. The One bedroom barn apartment is fantastic for solo or couples and is very well equipped and beautifully furnished and equipped. I would expect to pay double or triple for this sort of standard in a hotel so great value for money. Would certainly return if the circumstances came around.
