Vacation rentals with breakfast in Ethiopia

Sinait’s apartment was just the place our group of 4 needed, that we extended our stay twice! The apartment was bright, clean, and modern - just as described. Sometimes a bit too bright after sunrise - especially in the master bedroom. You can expect hot showers and modern kitchen and bathroom appliances. During our stay, the wifi worked well in the kitchen and living spaces, but not in the bedrooms. But that is probably because the space is large. During our stay, the building itself was prone to some power outages, but that is expected in many areas of Addis. At the time of our stay, there wasn’t access to a generator for us to use personally. Sinait’s provides a gas cylinder for cooking as an option and plenty water as a backup for washing. We never had issues with water during our stay. For an apartment in Addis, it is definitely on the quieter side. The road to the building is on a small, rugged road near Meskel Flower Hotel. We often took rideshares, and in most cases had no problem picking us up from the property once we described the real estate name and nearby banks and churches. There is an elevator and security on site. There are many small shops at walking distance if you want any food/supplies. All in all, this stay was a treat. Sinait and Mesay were super responsive and gracious hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure they took care of us if we had issues. A warm welcome back to Addis.

Kidists place is located a bit outside the hassle of the city and was very peacefull for me. The place was exactly like it was described in the photos and I really loved my stay over there. Anytime I will be visiting Addis this is going to be my place to stay for sure. The family who runs this place are very polite, helpfull and welcoming. The hosts really took care of me and guided me also around the city. The kitchen downstairs is really nice and we'll stoked for minor things which you need during the travel. Room was spacious and had a working Jaccuzi to relax. I really had a very nice Ethiopian Experience whole my stay at the Kidist's place which is what I actually wanted. I would Recommend this place for everyone. Thank you so kuch fir a lovely stay .

Mehari's place is superb. Its ideally located at the heart of Addis, a short distance from the best restaurants, shopping malls, pubs, and museums. Mehari is an excellent host, easy to communicate with and responds promptly to any requests. I highly recommend his spot to anyone visiting Addis.

Rekik & her husband Ed were very welcoming. I felt right at home. I came during the rainy season which is just as good of an experience if you have the proper gear (which I did) & itinerary. Ed, supplied me with a map & books to get informed about the culture and historical places around the city. They also suggested the neighbor next door who's a taxi driver that took me around town which made it much easier as I am not familiar with the bus system. Simeng is the most wonderful host you could think of. I would always come back or recommend to stay here. We had some great conversations and Simeng took the time to familiarize me with the area and everything you need is closed by. The entire place is sparkling clean, the area is safe and I had my own cosy little room and bathroom and some lovely breakfast. There also is a train station that connects you directly to the city center.

Dessiew is a phenomenal host he is happy to organise as much or as little as you require. Breakfast is superb and it’s a great place to meet other travellers. The WiFi is good as is the hot water. The homestay is a walk out of town which is fun during the day and easy by tuktuk at night. He sorted airport shuttle for us and his place is a 2 minute walk from the bus station if that’s how you arrive/depart. He’s planning a garden and a roof terrace - we’ll be back!

Spacious, comfortable, quiet, and super clean. I had a great time in this place. I highly reccomend it.

This is the first time my family and I stayed at a guest house in Addis Ababa. Ruth’s place felt home away from home. Ruth is a super host who replied right away to answer all of our questions. She also gave us great recommendations to restaurants, hair salon, and car rental. She’s very resourceful and always willing to help! We really appreciate her quick response to all of our inquiries. Once we reached addis at Ruth’s place we were welcomed by to amazing guys Mesgana and Temesgen who helped us with our luggages showed us around the apartment to make sure we knew how everything worked. They also made sure we had water and food since we had our kids with us! They really went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and we really appreciated their help! The apartment is super clean and very comfortable. The kitchen had all the things we need if we want to cook. The bed was super comfortable and everyone had a great night sleep. My two daughters didn’t want to leave as they had so much fun. The view is incredible! My husband and I enjoyed our morning cup of coffee on the balcony over looking the amazing view of the city. Ruth’s apartment is located at a prime location very easy to get to all the great restaurants and most importantly the airport! We also enjoyed walking to the most awesome coffee shop called “Melke” right next to Sidera Hotel. I asked my two daughters what they like about Ruth’s place and they said everything and they said they’re disappointed that we didn’t stay longer! We will definitely stay at Ruth’s place again and our next stay will be longer than this time! Thank you so much for everything! See you soon!!

We were picked up at the airport, which is 20 minutes away. We stayed for two nights in this very clean and nice apartment. A tasteful breakfast on the balcony with the breathtaking vieuw is very special. Haftamu is easy to reach and reacts fast. He tipped us for a very good guide for the rockchurces. Entrance to the Unesco-side is 100 USD (you can also pay in Birr). We gave the guide for the whole day 2450 Birr. Personel of Haftamu, very nice ladys who live nearby, suggest that we take dinner at Unique, a little restaurant nearby where we had a good and tasty pizza. The guide of the rockchurches tippes us the next day for Segeret, a restaurant on the third floor at the central square, also very tasteful. We had to deal with curvieuw, but that was no problem for us.
