Chalet vacation rentals in Erie Canal

My wife and I had a wonderful weekend stay. Amy and Valerie were welcoming, helpful with suggestions of things to do in the area, and always willing to help make our visit convenient and special. They provided a comfortable, immaculate space, while maintaining a relaxed and welcoming environment - perfect for what we were looking for. They were also super friendly and we had a nice time chatting with them. We hope to return some time in the future for another visit to Ithaca, which has so much to offer.

This was an amazing home in such a beautiful area of New York. The views are so nice and the hot tub off the master looking out at the landscape is amazing. All the details of the house really made it feel like you are in a chalet. The shower steam feature was also great. Just a great stay and we will definitely be back. For all you Hamilton parents - this is a great find only 20 min from campus!!

Awesome place. Just what I was looking for. Fall foliage and several hikes and drives in the area were beautiful. A couple of great local restaurants and a coffee house with pastries. Matthew and Michael were very responsive to my many questions. They were great to work with. Prefect place for my week get away. Satellite TV was a plus to watch NFL and baseball playoffs. Very relaxing and cozy with a private location close to restaurants and local grocery store. Stocked with everything you need. I would definitely recommend this wonderful Adirondack Chalet and hope to return.

This was absolutely perfect. Great for our group of seven having a blast out on Lake George. Peter's place is only a short drive to downtown Lake George village and a large outlet mall in Queensberry for shopping. We rented a pontoon boat for the day, and it was perfect. Peter and his wife even made sure we had coffee and bagels! Above and beyond what I had expected. The deck and fire pit made for a lovely time at night! Would recommend this place to anyone for sure! Hope to return soon.

My friends and our daughters spent a long weekend at Kate's place. The location is perfect if you want to enjoy the activities around Keuka lake. The view from the porch is stunning. We were 8 people and there was enough room for everyone. The home was clean and ready for us. Kate is very responsive and provides lots of helpful information about the area.

Lizzie’s cabin is clean, well-appointed and a perfect space to share with friends and family! The VIP of our weekend was the brand new hot tub overlooking the property from a beautiful new deck! Would definitely stay again!

Lizzie's house is beautiful and perfect for two couples and a few kids. We loved the serene setting, the close proximity to the center of Canandaigua and the lake, and all the wildlife encounters — tons of deer, rabbits, and hawks, plus a few couple groundhogs and two foxes. The house was comfortable and clean and had so much outdoor space. We made s'mores at the fire pit, went in the hot tub, sat at the gas fire table on the deck, and played baseball in the huge front lawn. It was a wonderful setting for our vacation!

My husband and I had a great stay at Brett's place. The price was very reasonable for the area and the location was great for exploring the wine trails and enjoying some tasty meals in nearby Penn Yan. The chalet was very comfortable and had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend!

This was a great house for our party of 8! It was clean and the karaoke machine was a big hit!! We highly recommend it and will be book again when we come back to that area.

We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend in this beautiful, peaceful home with tons of amenities and even more views. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

We had a great 3-night stay over New Year's with another family. The house is secluded, offering stunning views - it’s a 20-30 minute drive to the nearest restaurant or supermarket, and cell service is spotty with inconsistent Wi-Fi. AWD or snow tires are preferable for winter. The house is spacious, with a huge master bedroom filled with natural light, though it lacks window coverings and privacy from the back porch. The upstairs room with 4 twin beds was perfect for kids, though they had to use a downstairs bathroom. The kitchen is well-equipped, but labeling the drawers would help, cooking was somewhat of a scavenger hunt. For the price, one big miss was there was no ability to stream content. The TVs lack any type of real content or programming, which was a problem on New Year’s Eve, especially with kids. Be sure to bring a Firestick or Roku device with you. Overall, our host was very responsive and helpful, we really enjoyed our stay and would return.

Grand Chalet is a great house, very cozy, roomy, beautiful and clean, with stunning lake-front views from all its rooms. It's in a very close proximity to major wineries, including the ones that produce one of our favorite wines - Saperavi from our motherland of the Republic of Georgia. Many thanks to our host Ashley, who was very responsive before and throughout our entire stay. It was an unforgettable family vacation, and we would definitely come back in the future!

We felt right at home at this gorgeous lake house. It was spacious, clean, and the views were breathtaking! The hosts were amazing with communication and will get back to you quickly. I would definitely stay here again!!

We had a great time at the Chalet, and all the extra touches were appreciated. Plenty of towels, available firewood, kcups for coffee and many other extra touches. We did a lot of cooking, and kitchen was stocked with dishes, pots and pans, etc. Great location. When not enjoying Lake Sacandaga, Saratoga and Lake George are also close by to visit. We would definitely stay here again!

Tom’s place was beautiful! The views from the deck were amazing and I loved sitting out having a cuppa coffee and listening to the water. The washer and dryer was especially helpful and the kids loved the game room and all the activities. It was fun to hike and kayak. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to go and relax in comfort. Tom was also wonderful in checking in to make sure everything was OK.

This was the second time we stayed at Kevin and Anu’s property and it did not disappoint once again! The house is beautifully decorated and has all the amenities that you could possibly need. Both porches are just wonderful to sit out on and enjoy the outdoors! Our family took out the two kayaks and paddle board which is an awesome advantage to renting this home. It’s spacious and exactly as described. I’d highly recommend staying here!

The house has a lovely view of the lake and a nice sandy lakefront. It’s conveniently close to town. We had some questions while we were there and Mike was always very responsive.

From the minute you walk in you feel right at home! The wall of windows takes your breath away with the phenomenal view of the lake! Carrie has gone to great lengths to make everything accessible and comfortable, from the welcome basket greeting you, to the game room with puzzles and card games and the full size pool table and air hockey table. The fully equipped kitchen and abundant linens were a plus!! The covered deck is an ideal spot to sit and read or just watch a rain storm rolling in over the lake. The main level deck is a wonderful spot to catch some rays or eat a meal with your family. The outside fire pit and covered seating area are perfect spots to host some serious Uno tournaments! The dock is a fantastic place to catch the sunrise and take a dip in the lake! Everything you need is right there! Carrie was readily available, friendly and responsive! There are so many amazing things, I could go on and on! Our family had an amazing time and will definitely be back!

Laurie's place was just wonderful. We love historic houses with a lot of charm and carefully designed interiors with all modern comfort. The surroundings are just so peaceful and serene, so that recovery from NYC life was possible. The kitchen is fully equipped and we were able to cook for family members near by. All in all we had a wonderful time spend with hiking, cooking and resting. We will love to come back in the summer when we can take advantage of the lake nearby.
