We had an incredible time staying at this cabin for our Friends Christmas getaway. The cabin was immaculate, well-maintained, and offered the perfect amount of space for our group of friends to relax and enjoy the holiday together. The cozy, inviting atmosphere made it feel like a true home away from home. One of the highlights was how pet-friendly the cabin was—our dogs absolutely loved it! The spacious yard and surrounding area gave them plenty of room to roam, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches to ensure they were comfortable during our stay. The hosts were exceptional, checking in with us regularly and ensuring we had everything we needed. Their communication was prompt, friendly, and made us feel very well taken care of throughout our stay. The location was ideal for a peaceful retreat, We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate the season.

These hosts were AMAZING! Very communicative, helpful, and just very supportive! They provided welcome gift since we were celebrating some birthdays, lots of local recommendations and always responded quickly when we had a question. Absolutely loved that we didn't have to strip beds or do towel laundry. Would love to stay here again when visiting Davis and Thomas!

Great place to stay outside of Elkins! Easy access to caves, snow, hiking, and other wilds in Wild and Wonderful. The bedrooms are cozy, kitchen has everything you need and hot tub is clean. Starting and ending your day in the tub is the ticket 😊

This little cabin by far exceeded our expectations. It was cute and cozy, perfect for a few days away. We stayed in for the first few days and then ventured into the closest town. It is about 20 minutes away from Buckhannon, which is so quiet and quaint. We walked the downtown, which had antique shops, book stores, and an art vendor. Due to the holiday, there were also Christmas craft shows where we got some souvenirs to take home with us. It snowed while we were there making it our own Winter Wonderland. The cabin stayed surprisingly very warm. The hot tub was perfect to warm up. There is a fire pit, but we did not get to use it due to the weather. The entirety of the cabin is clean and gives that snug vibe. We did not have any problems with the WiFi really. We did not have much cell reception, but that was honestly a blessing. We loved our Thanksgiving vacation!

The cabin was exactly like the listing, we loved building a fire with the real fireplace. The host answered my message in a timely manner and was super friendly. I enjoyed cooking at the cabin since restaurants are a little drive away. I would def recommend her to anyone!

We had an amazing girls trip at the cabin! We enjoyed the privacy and outdoor fire place. Couldn’t have asked for a better place for our trip!

Our stay at Joans was fantastic, we loved it there, it was the perfect get away..The foliage was breathtaking , the cabin was perfect, everything you needed was already there..We would definitely stay again..

The cabin was perfect for our surprisingly wintery stay - the fireplace was key to making it cozy when the snow started. We would definitely stay here again. For families with small children - watch out for the spiral stairs. We were able to block them off with a gate that Kim provided, though.

Melanie’s place was beautiful inside and out. Having central heat and A/C topped it off. very clean place, and peaceful area. I left behind a valuable item after check out and was able to recover it. Melanie went out of her way to contact the resort staff to ensure I retrieved my possession. She saved me from a costly mistake. Thanks Melanie!

My wife and I needed a trip away from the city for the long holiday weekend where we could enjoy some good activity in peaceful surroundings with our dog. This cozy pedestal cabin in Black Bear Resort was just what we were looking for. Check in was easy by picking up the keys at the resort lodge. The place had everything we needed to a cook a couple nights for ourselves, including the gas grill on the deck. The wall-mounted 4K flatscreen TV with Roku let us relax after three active days out and about in Canaan Valley while we listened to the thunderstorms roll over the mountains each evening. This would certainly be a fine place for folks (especially with kids -- there were two sets of bunk beds in the loft) to use a base for their WV adventures any time of year!

This was the perfect base for our recent trip to the Canaan Valley. The cabin was cozy, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The living room was a great spot to relax after a day out, and the deck offered beautiful mountain views. One of the highlights of our trip was snowboarding at Timberline, just a short drive from the cabin. The slopes were fantastic, and it was so convenient to come back to such a comfortable and peaceful space. We didn't get to Blackwater Falls State Park during this trip, but it's one of our favorites. Thanks for making our trip easy and relaxing. It’s a spot we’d love to return to for more snowboarding and exploring!

Second time I’ve stayed at this lovely cabin for a dad-daughter get away. Fantastic location and a really nice place to stay.

We had a fantastic time here. Super cozy and plenty of space for entire family. Very clean. The cabin has great amenities and was well stocked with towels, cleaning supplies, kitchen essentials, games, streaming devices, firewood, etc. — all the things that show the host goes the extra mile. Darien was super friendly and responsive, and proactively made sure we were enjoying ourselves. Highly recommend this one for anyone coming to Canaan, Timberline, Dolly Sods, etc.

Great place! Very well equipped and right along the river - a beautiful setting with good hiking and other activities close by.

This is our 3rd year coming back to the cabin. We still love it and the area. The cabin has everything you need. Peaceful, serene, right along the river, and cozy. We look forward to our trip next year.

Nice and quiet. Peaceful. Loved having a full kitchen to make breakfasts at home. Comfy bed, nice hot showers. Location for us was great.

Clean space. We enjoyed the fireplace and outdoor fire pit! Check in and out was easy, clear instructions for both.

What a perfect mountain getaway! Quiet, peaceful, and a good place to relax! After days of hiking in the Dolly Sods, we enjoyed the hammock and fire pit after! Definitely worth visiting again!

We had a great stay at Adrienne’s! She was proactive in communication, friendly, and was quick to answer any questions about the house and area. Each bedroom and bathroom were clean and inviting. The living room was big but also cozy. There were cozy blankets and a great couch for relaxing and chatting. The kitchen had everything we needed. It even had a popcorn maker which was so fun to enjoy! Oh, and the dining area was perfect for group. We’d stay here every visit if we could!

This home is in a beautiful, nature all around setting with a creek/river practically at the door step. The daily friendly revisiting deer, playful Blue Jay's at back bird feeder, etc..very 😎cool!!. The home was exceptionally stocked with anything/everything one could possibly need for a restful & relaxing stay... soo comfy, cozy & super clean! The hosts were quick to respond to our reach outs & very accommodating. Their goal was to fully support & quickly address whatever question we had to ensure our stay was nothing but enjoyable 😉.
