What can I say about this house? It is exceptional in so many ways. The view is lovely, the neighbors are excellent people, it has plenty of shade to keep it cool, it's very close to the lake, and everything you need can be found within a five to ten minutes walk. Additionally, the air conditioner, refrigerator, stove, internet, and water all work well. This house is much better than I expected it would be. Furthermore, Victor is a responsive and attentive host who helps promptly whenever there is an issue. If you're planning to spend a night or even longer in El Remate, this house is clearly a great option.

Super responsive host! Whenever we had issues or questions they were super quick to respond, the gas went and someone came within 30 minutes to get the gas back on. We accidently broke a window during our stay and the host came round to fix it immediately and made no issue. Great location. Fully equipped house. Would use agian

I recently stayed at Lou's charming cabin and had a wonderful experience. Lou was an amazing host, offering homemade banana bread and full access to his kitchen and laundry, which made me feel right at home. The cabin is beautifully set in a tranquil, secluded area with a cozy deck perfect for relaxation and star-gazing. It was a special experience to see monkeys climbing the trees and hear birds singing on the balcony every day. The beauty of being so connected to nature added an incredible sense of peace and rejuvenation. Lou's tips were invaluable for exploring nearby El Remate and the Tikal ruins. Plus, there are some excellent restaurants just minutes away, adding to the convenience and enjoyment of the stay. While the bathroom is outside, it adds to the rustic charm. The whole experience was delightful. Highly recommend staying here for a peaceful getaway!

Beautiful place in the great location of El Remate, close to enough to visit Flores and a great jumping off spot to explore the area of Peten. simple but thoughtful accomodation--that felt like some had actually lived there (has all the little things you want: hooks, shelves, extra seats, enough drinking water for our stay, beautiful wood furniture, laundry lines, hammock, shared garden. Great value and Lucrecia was incredibly responsive and helpful. This was our favorite spot we stayed over six weeks of travel.
