Pet-friendly vacation rentals in East Dorset District

We enjoyed our week in Julia's cottage. The location was perfect, being just a few short steps from Frome center. The accommodation is surprisingly spacious, whilst retaining a cosy feel. The open plan kitchen and living area are both well-appointed as is the large bathroom and master bedroom. The second and third bedrooms are situated in the eaves and are beautifully presented. Access to the eaves could be a little tight for a less agile person but we had no issues whatsoever. We stayed mid-September and made use of the wood-burner. The space warms up very quickly and this adds to the cosy cottage feel. In terms of groceries it's a 5-minute walk to both Lidl and M&S so you get the best of both worlds. Evening highlights were High Pavement (Restaurant), The Griffin (Pub Quiz) and 23 Bath Street (Indie venue). Last word on parking. If you're patient you'll be fine. Should you wish to leave a car for an extended period of time, be prepared to park a little further from the cottage.

From the moment we walked in, we fell in love with Sonia's beautiful home! A huge garden, with plenty of games ready for our kids and plenty of drive to park our three cars. The house was beautifully decorated and set up. And absolutely spotless! Huge, warm 5 bedrooms with lots of bed space, storage and even some bath robes in the master bedroom. The cinema room lounge was a huge hit and we loved having our special birthday meal in the formal lounge/diner. Superb, quiet location. Loved the 30mins walk through the park towards the beach & pier. Sonia could not have accommodated us better & we have come away with fantastic memories of my husband's 50th birthday. The cake & fizz were such a kind touch! Please can we all come back soon.....?!

Such a beautiful home to have stayed in, so spacias and clean, it is fully equipped with everything you need and more! The property has an amazing garden with the hot tub, which was just perfect. The property is located centrally with lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance and is also a 5minute walk to boscombe peer. I would definitely come back for a stay in the Summer. Hosts were very welcoming and responsive to all communications.

Debbie and Ian’s place is literally as stated. Absolutely gorgeous. The comfiest of beds and the quietest of places. A wee home from home. Walking distance to the beach and we need to return as we didn’t visit Just what we needed for a long weekend away with our dog. Debbie and Ian both went the extra mile - nothing was too much trouble for them. We were able to charge our electric car there too using their EV charger which took any stress away of us looking for somewhere. There is so much to do in the area so we will definitely return!

Had a lovely time at Jack's for a couple of nights. Very comfortable and relaxing, especially the hot tub. Had everything we needed for the weekend and was a short walk to the pub.

If your looking for a hidden gem you have found it !!! The accommodation is very large, cosy and extremely well equipped. We arrived last minute due to another air BB being sub standard and Sarah was so brilliant, we were checked to house within 30 mins. The inside of the house simply beautiful, spotlessly clean and so convenient to walk to Fordingbridge. The host sarah is absolutely amazing you really could not ask for a better host. Unfortunatly she could only accommodate ourselves for 4 nights, but then she went above and beyond to find us another air BB that her friend had available I would highly recommend this property.

We had a wonderful family pre Christmas get together weekend at park Dale Cottage. The house was in a beautiful spot and we found it spacious and well laid out for our extended family needs. Kate was welcoming and available if we had any questions. We really enjoyed walks into the local area and definitely needed our walking boots to go across the field into the woods which are beautiful and full of ponies! The kitchen area was well equipped, the beds comfy and it was perfect for young children with the lovely selection of toys and outside play area. We loved the big open plan space it was very social . Thank you Katie for the welcome hamper food bits. We really had a perfect weekend, thank you.

Had a fantastic stay, the house really is wonderful, everyone really enjoyed it. We cooked, ate together, played tennis, went for bike rides and runs, the location was perfect. Arabella was really responsive, flexible and really helpful which I appreciate. Thanks!

We had a wonderful stay with all our family to celebrate a special birthday - we loved the house, all able to eat together around the table was wonderful, enjoying chatting and drinking in the beautiful lounge and the younger ones loved the hot tub and braver ones the swimming pool. Great position for all the lovely New Forest areas and walks

We were made so welcome by our hosts and given really helpful local information and tips. The house is in a beautiful private setting surrounded by woods and within walking distance of local shops & restaurants. The suite is very spacious, well furnished, beautifully decorated & had everything we could possible have needed to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. We took our Springador Burt with us and he was also made very welcome. We really appreciated the provisions left for us too, especially after a long drive. We couldn’t have asked for any more. It was just perfect and we would definitely stay again.

My family stayed at The Lodge as a luxurious break for my father and my adult children with heir partners and dogs. . The lodge was spacious , set in lovely grounds with the fabulous addition of a heated swimming pool which made our break such fun. The kitchen space was perfect for family meals with an excellent fitted out kitchen. One necessary feature of the property was a ground floor bedroom and a separate shower and toilet which made access for my father easy and comfortable. The whole house was very tastefully decorated and very clean. We all would love to go back next year my fathers health permitting. I cannot recommend The Lodge highly enough.

We really enjoyed our stay in Lesley's bungalow. We loved seeing the cows on the farm and went on many walks straight from the bungalow around the quiet lanes. The garden was totally secure for our dog which he loved. The bungalow was lovely and clean and very welcoming. We arrived late in the evening and there were delicious shortbread biscuits waiting for us and milk and eggs in the fridge. Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst are only short drives away through the new forest and its stunning scenery, especially with the autumn colours on full display. We ate out at the New Queen's Inn which is a short 5 minute drive from the bungalow. We actually ate there twice as it was so good! The kitchen in the bungalow is well equipped and everything there to cook your own meals. We would love to return and stay again if ever visiting the area again in the future.

Although I picked the wrong weekend away that coincided with Storm Darragh, the accomodation provided a great shelter. The location was great and we weren't far from the coast or the New Forest when we did venture out. Also close to the shops and takeaways which was very convenient. Will be returning in the summer

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful converted barn, with a lovely welcome from Caroline. The Annex was clean, comfortable and well equipped with lots of useful extras, including doggy towels and bowls. Idilic, peaceful country location, with New Forest walks and beaches close by. We would definitely recommend The Annex, and hopefully one day we’ll go back.

The cottage is gorgeous and Virginie ensured we had everything we needed for a luxurious and cosy stay. The garden is perfect for a dog, and there are lots of lovely walks on the doorstep!
