Vacation rentals with a fireplace in East Devon District

Fairfield House was the perfect house for a Christmas get together for our two families. There was plenty of space for 11 adults. The large dining room table and spacious lounge worked well for dinners and game playing & the generous welcome pack was much appreciated as was the hot tub. A short walk to the shops and pubs in Williton and a 5 minute drive to Watchet. Thanks David & Shruti for a great few days away.

Bridget’s cottage was absolutely tremendous! It felt homely, warm and welcoming! It was private and out of the way without being miles away from what you needed. We stayed with our 18 month old and dog who had a lovely time too. The stair gate on the bedroom was great as it gave our son freedom to wonder about upstairs whilst we got ready. There was also plenty of room for the travel cot too. Bridget was excellent at giving local recommendations and instructions for the cottage. We tried Rye in Frome which served excellent coffee! So thank you for that too. A perfect Christmassy getaway! Felt like the holiday! Thank you so much xx

Absolutely wonderful stay. Lovely house, very well equipped and lots of nice little touches, like great coffee, wood burner ready to light and nice bathroom products. Our dogs were immediately at home, the garden is a great size. Great clear instructions for arrival and departure. The location is beautiful, superb views and incredibly quiet and private. Mo is a superb host. We'll definitely be back.

Lyn's place is a 'home from home' experience in a peaceful and quiet location easily walkable into Wells Town through lovely countryside. Lyn had provided lots of extras above and beyond those expected. Her attention to little details was excellent. We had a very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend.

Wow, Kristin's place is absolutely dreamy! It's so close to town and the train station, and every detail has been carefully thought out. We really wish we could stay longer!

What can we say, from booking our stay, to leaving after an amazing week, we truly felt at home. Kam and Bens home is beautiful throughout, there wasn’t one thing that we thought we needed or wanted that wasn’t provided for. Kam met us on arrival, earlier than we expected, and showed us around her wonderful home, all instructions in a helpful guide in the kitchen, even tide times, for trips. Great advice for our trip to Lundy, she even sent us up to date weather forecast . Kam provided us with mobile numbers if we were stuck for anything, and ensured it was ok for Ben to check the hot-tub, when we were out. Lovely touches, such as robes for getting out of the tub, were much appreciated. Superb hosts, will definitely visit again, our daughter and her partner joined us for a few days and loved every minute, lovely walk to the beach, only 10mins away, and the most amazing sunsets from the lounge and bedroom . What a beautiful home from home! We loved our stay at this cottage, especially the log burner, pool table and hot tub. We did some lovely walks (recommend the canal towpath at Tiverton) and visited local pubs. The cottage was just as described and in the pictures. Communication was excellent. What a relaxing stay! We can't recommend this place enough, and we'd love to go back.

What a beautiful cottage, exactly as described and in the pictures. Everything you could want for a cosy weekend away and so peaceful in the morning. The bed as particularly comfortable, we slept like a log. Steve is an amazing host, so responsive to all our questions and accommodating when we had to rearrange for a later check in. Highly recommend

We had a great stay, it certainly changed our experience, of visiting Plymouth, rather than using a hotel. Our flat was lovely and clean, spacious, and easily walkable to all shops, restaurants and bars. William our host was most helpful before, and during our stay, will certainly recommend staying here! 😀

This holiday home was very clean and welcoming, Tracey &Richard was very welcoming we got there very early, i phone Tracey too ask ifcan leave our car and she said come inside and drop our thing's off , Richard gave us the keys and we walked down to the beach, Came back later to find Tracy have left us, tea,coffee, milk and biscuits 😋. Very lovely. And a big yes we would love to go back again, Mike & Jo

This beautiful sea/harbour view appartment was PERFECT. The Host was fantastic. clear instructions, and couldn't do enough to make sure we had a wonderful stay. You are minutes from the harbour, great walks and bars. You arrive with all the local information on the side for you. The kitchen has everything you need and more. spotless, comfortable bed, luxury towels and linen. I will definitely go again. loved every minute. The host really was so lovely. Thank you again.

Lovely stay in west bay, great location right on the harbour, flat is well equipped and beautifully decorated, great base for exploring the area!

Loved, loved, loved this magical place. Lots of interesting furniture, super comfy bed, our own little courtyard and entrance to the park just through the garden gate. Very friendly welcome. Highly recommend.

An adorable, clean and extremely well equipped flat within walking distance of Lyme Regis shops, pubs and beach. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Great space and amenities for my little solo jaunt to Lyme Regis. Easy walking distance to everywhere (though Lyme Regis has some very steep paths in and out of the town). Mark provided excellent recommendations for food and bevvies. I will definitely return.

This is a lovely place to stay with beautiful views from the outside terrace. This accommodation had everything we needed and was very convenient for visiting local attractions such as Wells and Cheddar Gorge. Carol was excellent at communicating and very helpful when we needed to change our booking due to personal circumstances. Thank you for a great stay Carol and the delicious complimentary cream tea you left for us. We would definitely come back here again and recommend it to family and friends.

A unique set of suites in a very large gorgeous house. There was so much room for our family ranging from 3 to 73! The communal area was used all the time and the bar area was a wonderful bonus. It really became our ‘home’ for the week and we all felt very relaxed. The suites were first rate having everything you could possibly need and provided the ‘bolt hole’ where people had their own space as well. There are so many beaches close by which we visited- Hele, Combe Martin and Woolacombe- great for paddle boarding, kayaking and surfing- we had a busy time! Neil was such a good host providing very quick responses to my many questions in such a friendly way! Would highly recommend this property for a large group. Thank you Neil.

We stayed for a long weekend to celebrate a family birthday and we couldn't have asked for any more from the Villa. Stunning property and very spacious, the hot tub and games room were definitely a highlight with many. Simon and Charlie were fabulous hosts, very attentive with clear instructions. A lovely welcome basket was waiting for us which was a lovely gesture. The location was perfect and close to shops and restaurants and lovely walks to take in. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Had a wonderful time. The place felt very secluded with amazing amenities and stunning sea view. Neil was very friendly and helpful too and even left us chocolates and champagne to help us celebrate a special occasion. Would love to stay here again sometime.

We had a great stay here, the rooms are comfortable and clean. Quite possibly the best shower I have ever used both upstairs and down! The fire was lovely and gave a warm homely feel, a great selection of board games as well!

This Christmas will go down as one of the best our family has ever had, and this beautiful property played a huge part in that. It’s a very special place—the only problem is that you won’t want to leave at the end! We spent 10 days here with family from Plymouth, Sweden, and France, and the house was perfect. Everyone loved it: the older generation was cozy and comfortable, the teenagers had the freedom to explore town, and we all came together in the evenings for meals and games. The owners went above and beyond to make the house warm, inviting, and festive, with lovely Christmas treats that everyone appreciated. The ground floor has a spacious living room with a lovely log fire, a fully equipped kitchen with an island that opens onto the dining room, and a WC with a hand basin. Upstairs, there are four beautiful bedrooms, a spotless bathroom with a shower and bath, and another WC. Parking is easy right outside. Thanks to Joanna and Mike for creating so many treasured memories!

The most amazing space to hold our family Christmas, everyone was impressed with the house and the Christmas decorations made us all feel right at home, we didn’t want to leave!! The rooms were just beautiful, and the amount of amenities was great. Highly recommend this space for a big family get together 🙂

Amazing location with stunning views and great property that is ideal for a large family gathering! The garden was the star for us and our four legged friends - we all really enjoyed the space and privacy. 👌We had a family ‘Sports day’ one day for all twelve of us and there was more than enough room. The house itself has everything you need for a relaxing stay and there are loads of really good places to visit and eat at - some great pubs and we’d really recommend the vineyard five minutes down the road for a tour! (@Swanaford Vineyard). Some of the local roads are a little tight for space - one car only but if you go slowly and be respectful of other road users it’s fine. We also tried some local golf courses, Teign Valley the closest, all gave some good challenges but are also really well looked after. We also had a private chef one night (@LeFrog) which made for a very special anniversary celebration. Would highly recommend if you are a large group booking the whole place.
