Monthly Rentals in Dungeness

Penny has been an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish being approachable, friendly and helpful. Exactly what you’d want from a host. The property has every tiny thing you can think of. The little things you’d normally have to get yourself are all provided. It had been decorated for Easter and my birthday with an Easter egg and birthday cake waiting for us when we arrived. It’s all the little touches and extra care taken that make this a special place to stay. The accommodation was exactly as described and has everything you would need for a stay. The Mistral cabin is one of two right on the edge of the Dungeness estate. Situated at the front of a row of old cottages. Double doors open to an uninterrupted view of two lighthouses looking over the shale and array of plants. The area is very peaceful- we never heard the neighbours in the next cabin. Very high spec inside - like a good quality hotel. Everywhere in Dungeness is walkable from here and it’s a great location. Rye is a beautiful medieval town 20 mins away and is a must for quality cafes and antique shops. Very close to the Pilot pub which is the best for food, great fish and chips but probably worth going to Rye as well for a change a menu. It’s a great location and a wonderful experience to stay here- just roam around yams discover the surreal area.

We were a group of four mums and our 4 children and had the most special stay here. The Dungeness area was new to us all so it was a complete revelation and we found no end of things to explore, whilst also enjoying the tranquility of the location, and the vast skies at night. Adam communication was great and we felt at home as soon as we arrived. The cabin is much bigger than we expected so was great for us having different spaces to relax. We ate dinner at the Pilot Inn, took the railway, went up the lighthouse, but otherwise just explored the beach and soaked up the environment

Amazing house to experience Dungeness from - we loved sitting out on the deck and the fact that you can watch the sun rise and set perfectly from the living room! Walkable to the Britannia Inn and the Pilot Inn, and with the Fish Shack opposite. Easy to find with Google maps, and not far from the steam train. The house had very good kitchen utensils, equipment and handy things like oil, salt, pepper, herbs and Rosie kindly left us a bottle of wine and crisps. Inside was very warm with underfloor heating, but it is very breezy outside so we could open the sliding door. Wi-Fi/ phone signal in the whole of Dungeness is quite hit and miss, and was so at the house, so the TV didn’t work for us. We had a really lovely stay, and would absolutely come back again!
