Wonderful Stay at Casa Torres in Los Fresnos, TX My experience at Casa Torres was nothing short of exceptional during my stay from 3/23 to 6/8/24. Paula and her husband welcomed me warmly when I moved to Brownsville for a new job at Alpha. I moved alone & my family joined me later. Paula and her husband are genuinely kind & sincere people. They struck the perfect balance between being caring hosts & respecting my need for space, which was greatly appreciated during the times when I felt homesick & less sociable. Despite my occasional quietness, they never made me feel uncomfortable or intruded upon, always greeting me warmly whenever our paths crossed. The house itself, while older, is clean & well-maintained. It had everything I needed for a comfortable long-term stay. Paula's thoughtful touches, like checking in on me when I visited my family for a week, demonstrated her genuine concern. Their hospitality truly goes above & beyond typical hosting expectations. 5 stars!

Mariela's place was perfect if you're traveling alone or with one other person. The studio apartment like setting is attached to the side of her home with your own private entrance. For those who like a very large bathroom this bathroom was much larger than what I needed. The small kitchenette was perfect for cooking simple healthy meals if you want to save money instead of paying top dollar for prepared foods at restaurants. There is also is a large charcoal grill and picnic table in the backyard. You cannot ask for a better host. Mariela is very kind person and very responsive. I would definitely go back!

Victor and Heidi helped my family and I feel taken care of with this listing, they were respectful and super communicative throughout our stay. Area was very nice and quiet, and it felt like home. Will definitely come back to their place!
