Villa vacation rentals in Darwen

My family and I (7 adults & 1 child) recently stayed at ‘The Cottage’ and we all agreed that it was a wonderful holiday. The house is beautiful, very spacious, spotlessly clean and was well equipped for all of our needs. The hub is definitely the kitchen, we enjoyed playing family board games around the dining table. The gardens are amazing we loved watching wild rabbits, squirrels and cows everyday. It was nice to see home grown vegetables and a herb garden too. Our grandson enjoyed playing football with his dad in the garden, jumping on the trampoline and feeding the fish. It is ideally located for travelling into York and not far from the designer outlet. Our group ranged in age from 2yrs to 78yrs and there was something for everyone to do at the house. We all really needed a family break due to recent illness and enjoyed spending time together making lovely memories. We hope to be able to stay again and thank both Neil and Adrienne for sharing their beautiful home with us.

It felt like home away from home. Great space to relax, gather and eat with family and friends. Gary was very responsive to messages prior and during our visit. We’d highly recommend this property and wouldn’t hesitate to book again if we visited Manchester again.

A wonderful half term long weekend with our teenagers. Super quiet location, but close enough to Lancaster to make a dash into the city easy. Smashing property with jus the right mixture of character and modernity. Will be back.

Mr. Rocky was very responsive. We had a friendly host who is always keen to give clear instructions. The villa was neat and clean and exactly matches with the photos based on the listing. The villa is located in a peaceful area. I recommend this villa for those who want to enjoy a peaceful environment and homely feeling.

We enjoyed our stay at Monika’s Airbnb. The kitchen, dining and lounge areas were particularly inviting. Everything was very clean and it was a very homey atmosphere. Monika left us some supplies which we appreciated as well. Getting in was trouble free due to the clear instructions. Overall a very pleasant experience.

It was a real treat to stay here for all the family - 3 generations, 11 of us altogether - celebrating a big birthday. Anthony's wonderful period home accommodated us in fine style and we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves all weekend.

We booked this trip very last min however communication prior to check in was great and host was very accommodating. All info for check -in provided before arrival. The house was very clean on arrival. A lovely well presented and spacious property! Plenty for kids to do inside the house with pool table arcade games and American football. A lovely touch from the host who left complimentary wine and sweets for our arrival. Would highly recommend this property for a group stay with or without children!

Man’s communications were excellent and the stay was exactly what we were looking for. Given the location the price was extremely reasonable for the size of the property. Mak was even kind enough to gift desert which was delicious!

Oldbury Barn is in a lovely location in the countryside with great views (though tricky to find, so the 'what3words' helped a lot!). The house was nicely presented and lovely and clean. Plenty of pots, pans, mugs (!) utensils etc for a large family group. The open plan nature of the kitchen/diner/lounge is great for a multi generational family gathering like ours, as you are always all together in one huge room. However, note that its a tiled floor and there isn't much in the way of soft furnishings so noise echoes around a bit and can be heard from all bedrooms - but this is only a problem if you have very young kids going to bed early or getting up early! The 2 ground floor bedrooms are large and with lots of storage. The 2 upstairs bedrooms are small with very low ceilings and little storage - fine for kids but we were were 7 adults and one toddler, so that didnt work brilliantly for us . The "slight height restriction" in the description is quite an understatement!!

We were a group of 8 friends spending a long week-end to play golf in the Southport area. The house was fantastic, a lot of space for 8 people, great equipment, super clean. The location was absolutely perfect for us with fantastic golf courses (Hillside & Royal Birkdale within 15 minutes drive, Formby within walking distance...) nearby. There are shops and restaurant nearby. The communication, check-in & check-out and interaction with Debs were really easy. I can only highly recommand this house, superbe!

Perfect house for our large party of family and friends in Oxford for a family wedding. Stylish and comfortable, well appointed and handy location.

I have to come clean - I am an enthusiast of Penarth, the architecture of the town, the community feel, and everything about the place. Sarah's place, being among the oldest houses in the town, was a must for all the things I was looking for. Sarah herself is friendly and has clearly put a lot of herself into the house. My journey time to Penarth could have been subject to delays, being more than 500 miles... but we had good communication and met up without difficulty at the house. All in all, the house was cosy and well appointed. It also was a great base for strolling into Penarth Town centre and even, across the barrage, to Butetown and even Cardiff. I would thoroughly recommend Sara's house for your stay.

Had a great stay, check in was a breeze - made easier as we all arrived at different times. Stayed here with family we don’t see very often so it was a treat. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay as a family. Grandparents enjoyed relaxing, kids enjoyed using all the sports facilities and paddle boarding on the lake. The hot tub on the roof was fantastic and a nice bit of privacy. The information prior to arriving was brilliant and clear. We ate at Ballihoo (Juan was super nice!) and enjoyed drinks in the sunshine there most afternoons. Recommendations for food: We had a meal at Henry’s and it was incredible, and they were very accommodating for children as they don’t have a kids menu. We also had fish and chips from Malt&Anchor which was delicious. We loved the house and lower mill estate. Such a fantastic place! Thank you 😊

The photos do not do this beautiful home justice - it is by far, one of the most fantastic Air BnB finds I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. The setting is idyllic, the facilities second to none and yet even though a large house and grounds, still had a cosy homely feel. This was a treat retreat that will be hard to beat!

This is easily the best air b&b I’ve ever stayed at. Lucy was so lovely and helpful and answered all of our questions promptly. The pictures don’t do the place justice, it’s even better in person. Absolutely loved this place and will definitely be returning!

Adam & every one of the team are unbelievable people. The things they have done for our family they really went above and beyond for us. As my sister had only been given a few months to live Adam gave us everything he could think of and more which created the best and most unbelievable stay we could have imagined. We cant thank him & the team enough for what they did for us. The property is exceptional. Everything you could ever think of has been thought of. It is stunning both inside and out. By far the best place we have ever stayed in. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. We as a family will be forever grateful for everything they did for us & the memories it created. We had a great stay in this beautiful home. The house was spacious yet had a really cosy feel to it. The hosts were friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend staying here.
