Family-friendly vacation rentals in Crescent City

I would absolutely stay here again. This was the best pet friendly rental I’ve ever stayed in. The amenities were just as described, and Harry and Stella were wonderful hosts.

Lovely vacation rental with nice amenities. Property was better than photos online. The guest book was full of good recommendations and Zoe communicated throughout my stay. I hope this rental is available for my next trip up here, as I plan to stay here if possible. Thanks for making us feel at home on our vacation!

The place was very spacious and allowed my family of five to spread out . The kitchen was big and had all the amenities for cooking and eating in. We did stay at during the winter and the river was very swollen and not fishable. Just FYI for anyone who is hoping to fish the river during this time of year. We had some nice (winter) beach days and visited the redwoods. Conveniently located for those activities.

Felt like home, wonderful views and great little place. Telling my friends and family and colleagues about this place.

Rustic space, simple and roomy Great hot tub and perfect location

The location was awesome- just across the street from the ocean and a short walk to beach access. The house had tons of space and the decor was super fun and colorful. It felt very homey and was very well equipped. We loved the balconey with the ocean view!

My wife and I along with our two dogs had a great stay at Jim’s place. Hiking down to the river, crossing it and finding the hidden waterfall was surreal! Campfires in the cool evenings with the provided wood were fantastic. We didn’t see another person during our four night stay, it was great to getaway from it all for a bit. Jim was a responsive and friendly host, would definitely stay again!

Really enjoyed my stay at Marys. Bed was super comfortable, great view, living area was nice, the shower was a little tough to figure out at first but worked out just fine. Loved the location for hiking and beach combing and absolutely adored her pup Mousse!! Would definitely come back again, thank you!

Beautiful location and cozy cabin. Easy to find and get in. Clean and just as advertised. This is our second stay here, will be back again.

Well stocked kitchen and appliances. The kids loved the toys and the jacuzzi bathtub. Excellent location, only a short drive to the coast and redwoods. Unlike many other rentals in Crescent City, this house is outside of the tsunami hazard zones.

Likely once an incredible location, severe fire damage has affected the roads, the views, and the work that Dan has put into the place. And it is an incredible amount of work, the place has amazing buildings with incredible mosaics, a beautiful community that is quietly thriving even in winter after such a setback. The amount of fire damage was truly shocking to me, coming from a more northern region of the US where we don't often get such extreme damage. I would have to amend his recommendations on the road, it's stable but much affected by fire damage and mud coming down the mountain. Trees have and certainly will keep falling across the road over the next few years, take it very slow as the edges are steep. Everything and everyone we met were warm and friendly but we missed the host! I would love to stay here again in the summer to see the activity in full swing and maybe even be a part of the recovery.

The Sustainable Ecovillage was quite the getaway destination! Very peaceful and mountainous. Would like very much to come back to stay in the treehouse or hobbit home! All of his rental spaces are very unique and charming. Dan was a very friendly host. Sadly Forest fires last fall scorched some of the area however noticed the regrowth beginning already in March!

Paula’s Airbnb fit all of our families needs. It has a great view of the ocean. The house itself is a little older. It did have its quirks, but the kitchen is very nice and the furniture is modern and comfortable. The picture windows out front were fantastic, and there was a helpful binder with lots of tourist information. The kitchen was also well stocked, which was very handy.

Great location, close to Stoney Creek, the old Gasquet Toll Road and a number of swim holes and hiking trails. Appreciate that there was even an egg beater present. Was making a cake for my girlfriend’s 40th birthday, and that unlikely item was handy. Peaceful, beautiful surroundings.

Great location and nice place to stay with group of 10 people. The hot water in bathrooms is kind of serially available to all bathrooms so if at a time two bathrooms are in use, the hot water was not available to both or only one bathrooms. Other than hot water, we had blast and i would recommend this place to anyone or i would love to come back and stay here again.

This casita was the perfect resting place after our engagement photo session on the coast! The location was quiet, private and beautiful. The linens and towels smelled so good and clean- this is always important for our stays. The couch was cozy and perfect for 2. We used the fireplace to warm up quickly and watch a movie before bed. The bathroom and shower were squeaky clean, and very modern with high ceilings throughout the casita. Our one night stay was not enough. We have never found a place in Brookings worth the cost, but have now found our place to stay everytime we’re in town. The hosts were very responsive, helpful, and so thoughtful. We’re so happy to have found this gem!

The home and location were exactly as described. The view from the living room, dining area and kitchen were wonderful. Lovely sunsets could be seen from the porch and entire front of house. We could watch surfers at various times of the day as well and our daily strolls on the beach right across the street provided great sea glass finds. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. There was every type of utensil, pot or pan, baking pans, cooking items-crock pot, etc. It was a lovely place and we would definitely stay here again. Zoe always answered any questions promptly and allowed us to check in early. Thank you for a lovely experience.

lovely cozy home. loud neighbors across street is the only drawback. but that can't be helped! heater works great, very clean and comfortable. my only personal recommendation would be to bring slippers! floors are great and beautiful but tile and wood is hard and the feet. I had my daughter with me who is crawling and her feet and legs were still clean after crawling on the floors. very thankful we stayed here.
