Just finished a long weekend at the lodge. The first thing I noticed was how much room each lodge had, there was plenty of space for storage, cooking, relaxing, and for what we paid this was amazing. Next, the back veranda area with the hot tub was nice and secluded for relaxing without any hassle, and what was even handier is the direct door from this to the bathroom so I didn’t have to get the floors wet! The welcome pack was extremely useful and gave recommendations for what to do and how to safely walk to places especially on the blind and windy country lanes. The kitchen was fully stocked with equipment for cooking and the cooker etc were extremely user friendly. I did find the sauna somewhat confusing to use at first, however once this was figured out it was lovely. Nice quiet stay, prefect for relaxing and no hassle. My only recommendation would be that if you stay here, you need to be prepared to drive as it is at least a 20 min drive to the next lively town! Fantastic Stay!

We had a great stay, the host Tj was super responsive and helpful and the farm house was clean and as described. Tj even had crumpets and fizz ready for our arrival! The animals on the farm are friendly and a great addition to the stay. Would definitely recommend.

What a super place to stay! Such a spacious chalet with great furnishings and equipment. The place was very clean and all the linen and towels smelt lovely. We had an issue with the boiler but Andrew had notified us beforehand and was very upfront and honest with the issue. We appreciated this and wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again. We also had a problem using the oven (didn’t realise it was gas) and Andrew was again quick to respond and help us out. The site itself is superb. The chalet is an easy 3-5min walk from the main facilities. The pool and soft play were refurbished last year and our kids absolutely loved them. There was also pedalos on the lake, mini golf, Dino bikes and a great outdoor play area to keep everyone busy. This really is a perfect place to stay with a family.

Overall great experience. Hot tub was great even at night! Kitchen could do with more thorough cleaning - plates were not rinsed properly and shelves had some very old stuff. Great communication from the owner and she was very helpful! I recommend the stay for those who are after some peace and quiet time :)

Decided to kick off the new year with peace, tranquility and nature. The river retreat lodge provides all! The lodge is beautiful, and very homely. Smart tv to indulge in your favourite shows and books, puzzles on hand for a change in activity. Or maybe you could fish the Avon or venture taking lovely photos of the scenery. The beds were really comfortable and the there’s an on suite, which was useful. The lodge has a few steps leading to the front door, so might not suitable for those who are unable to walk/climb steps. There is a bar/restaurant across the bridge with a small kids park and mini golf. Although very basic. The Avon park site was clean, and easy to find, navigate around. People are friendly and helpful. Location - if your fit/able bodied. You can walk into town which would take around 25 mins or so. However, in the car it takes around 10-15 approx My friend and I will definitely booking again soon

We had an amazing stay at the chalet - 10 adults and 6 children together for a beautiful weekend in the Spring. The location is great, private, lots of outdoor space for the kids to play and for us to eat meals outside in the sunshine. Walking distance to the Malvern Hills, and the Brewers Arms nearby was perfect for Sunday lunch. Catherine was very responsive and helpful, and we all had a wonderful weekend.

Great size lodge for 6 of us and two dogs. Kids loved the hot tub and the table tennis etc. The kitchen facilities were spot on and the underfloor heating kept us all nice and warm. Would highly recommend. Only negative would be that the hot tub wasn't very private and I should imagine in the summer it could feel abit exposed with campers etc.
