Waterfront vacation rentals in Connecticut River

Mitch has a lovely home with beautiful surroundings (Lake Champlain for kayaking and listening to the water lap on the shore, view of mountains across in the Adirondacks), local walks in the area are nice. Hiking not far away. We went into Burlington for a concert. Nice to realize that Mitch is related to a close friend of mine. A very peaceful spot,

Elaine’s airbnb was absolutely amazing. It was situated on the second story of their home with a separate, easy access entrance. Upon entering you are treated with a beautifully decorated, well furnished , living room with a large bay window at one end. When you get closer and look out, you are overwhelmed by a spectacular view of the Narragansett Bay. You are so close, if you listen carefully, you can hear the lapping waves. In the morning, the room is filled with the glorious morning sun. The large main bedroom is equally well decorated and has an equally beautiful view of the bay. The smaller second bedroom is fully functional but does not have the view. The apartment had a one fully functional bathroom and a small but updated well equipped kitchen with everything you needed except a dishwasher. No room. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit with Elaine and Richard and would loved to stay with them again if we return to Wickford.

June’s place is nice and cozy, great amenities including washer/dryer, beautiful views of Lake Champlain and Adirondack mountains. June was a responsive host and helped us get in to her place last minute with ease.

We had a very nice 2 night stay. The apartment was very cute and walkable to so many places.

LOCATION and LUXURY are the two BEST words I have to describe Scott’s place. Free parking in a secure lot right next door was super convenient. Then elevator up to the oasis and views! Scott’s place is in an amazing area of Portland to walk to all the great spots for sight seeing, shopping, and dining. Starbucks and Holy Donut are right across the street! It is both elegant and comfortable which is not easy to accomplish but Scott has done so. The views of the harbor are spectacular from the penthouse. All the large windows have shades when you want privacy too! Scott has thought of all details from comfortable beds, TVs in both bedrooms, toiletries, paper products, kitchen items, a washer and dryer…..even the hair dryer was awesome! You cannot beat the comfort or location of Scott’s place. Our family of four enjoyed our time here immensely and cannot wait to return. My boys said this place will be hard to beat! I think that sums it all up. Thank you Scott!

Sarah’s place is very spacious! The neighborhood was very quiet (I was there on a weekend) especially compared to the experience of my friends who stayed in the middle of Newburgh. It was the perfect space to wind down in at the end of the day. The house does make noise but Sarah is upfront about that and I didn’t think it was that bad! I also enjoyed the tech free space, that was a feature for me.

Cozy, comfortable, perfect location for exploring the "cottages" and the cliff walk. Was also quiet and residential, though just a few minutes from restaurants and the main touristy street. We didn't have a car and didn't feel we were missing out. Also, as others have said, the bed was so comfortable - I'm already thinking about going back!! And the chocolates and tea were such a lovely touch!

Unfortunately we had bad weather during our stay but the house was cozy and comfortable and the views worthwhile. 5 adults and 2 young children and we never felt cramped. Highly recommend.

Beautiful and easy little cottage, lovely porch with wonderful big swing to nap on with the pup, luscious huge lawn to feel space and privacy, and absolutely beautiful lake view, easy rock step into shallow section to launch our floaties and Wayne’s paddle boards. Easy living with picnic table and great Weber grill, and second small fridge in the boat house. A keeper!

This place was a small slice of peaceful serenity, exactly as described and pictured. It was immaculately kept, feeling brand new. The kitchen had a pleasant "pay it forward" vibe with items left by previous guests, which made it easy to contribute for future visitors. Although the house got cold on a snowy day (as others noted), one of the provided space heaters quickly warmed it to a comfortable temperature. I would definitely return for another peaceful weekend, and I imagine it would be even more amazing in the fall or summer.

Beautiful views overlooking river and waterways, with all essential amenities on main level. Home has full set of utensils and pots/pans for cooking in modern and newly renovated kitchen. Beds and mattresses were comfortable. Responsive host. Highly recommend for a family vacation, especially if in the summer when weather is warmer. If I travel to Portsmouth area again, I would stay here again.

The home was very welcoming and accommodating for our family of 5. The views were spectacular at sunrise, sunset and during the snowstorm. Bald Eagles and hawks would land in the trees right in front of the house. Also, there was a skating pond down the street my family love to visit almost each evening. There was an alarm going off as soon as we arrived, Debbi was incredibly fast responding and sending someone to check it out clear it up. On the plus someone came and plowed the driveway after the snowstorm it was great. She left a basket of local food and my family ate it up. We are so thankful for our relaxing week and would love to return.

This was a really nice house on a beautiful lake. The beds were comfortable and there were enough to accommodate us. It was very clean and easy to enjoy your stay. We really enjoyed our stay.

This Airbnb was truly better than the pictures. This lake house has its own private beach, is close to amazing eateries in Bantam and the house itself is modern and clean on the inside and is an amazing space to spend time. The deck and chairs as well as the fire pit and chairs on the beach make it all an amazing place to relax. Would stay again!!

We had a wonderful stay at Andrew's place. It was a perfect little getaway where we could unwind & just enjoy the scenery. We came in town to visit our Son who is a Freshman at Nichols College. We had some cold weather & rain but, we took full advantage of the firepit & sat out by the water enjoying the view. There were lots of things to do on the water that we can hopefully do when we visit again in warmer weather. This place was a wonderful spot for us to unwind & spend time with our boy! Andrew & Lora were super responsive & helpful for all of our needs. They went above & beyond to make sure our visit was perfect. Highly recommend this gem by the water!

We had a wonderful time at Rob's place in Provincetown this February. If you are looking for a quiet place on the East End in the off season this is an exceptional spot. Beautiful water views from the condo. A gorgeous beach with some of the best views in Provincetown is right across the street. Condo was perfectly cleaned upon arrival and exactly as described. Couldn't ask for more.

Excellent place, sunset and sunrise is just beautiful right from your private balcony, plenty of things to do even on rainy days, huge selection of places to eat, great bands play right on the premises, great people and atmosphere. The condo was very clean and has everything you need. I would love to stay again!

This is the perfect place! Everything is very clean, and nothing missing! Kevin is very nice. He was good tips. I've always dreamed of coming to OOB in the winter and really enjoyed the experience! Loved our stay. With its location and double patios, the views are splendid! For lovers of the sound of the waves, the view of the sea, sunrises, long walks to the beach… this is the place!

We had a fabulous experience with the apartment. It was a little bit small, but actually ended up being very cozy for the long weekend. No issues whatsoever, and Kevin was a very gracious and respectful host. Definitely recommend this for a short getaway!

We had an amazing stay! We stayed off peak season, although alot was closed we felt right at home and were more than happy to spend family time at this condo! The views were stunning, and the condo was immaculate. We were close to everything and was still within very reasonable driving distance to the surrounding towns. Julie was a pleasure to work with and was always very responsive and accomadating throughout the process. Hoping to stay again next year!

The place was perfect nice and clean what I like the best is the it was close to the beach to go for a walk.

Great space, close walk to all the places we needed to go. Loved the open layout of the kitchen and living room areas, awesome to lounge around during our downtimes. Bathrooms fit our needs and beds were comfortable. Nice and thoughtful amenities such as the Dove body soap and toothpaste. TV cable was much appreciated as well as the electric piano! Thanks for a great stay, would book again.
