Treehouse vacation rentals in Connecticut River

What a wonderful, peaceful oasis! The treehouse at the Shire is just incredible! The hosts were very welcoming and communicative. The grounds and property are just stunning. There are also trails and a trail map to adventure on the property. They also have a very sweet pup, Bo, who became best friends with my dogs (after a friendly introduction and me asking if he was free to play). I can’t say enough positive things about this place! Great location to hike and have a peaceful respite, but close to restaurants too! Also, LGBTQ+ friendly!

This is a super comfortable house with amazing grounds. Lots of places to sit, chat, relax, and/or read. This house is not for everyone, if you are looking for a squeaky clean, sterile, hotel like Airbnb, this is not your place. It is more like your cool aunt who is fun and smart letting you use her getaway cottage. The grounds are amazing, lots of privacy, and places to hang out and chat. Gaydon keeps the pool super clean and we had so much fun hanging out there. Germantown is lovely with lots of places to eat and fun things to do.

What a memorable stay! Everything was so special. Every detail was taken care of from the iced tea on arrival to the fresh coffee and yummy breakfast in the morning. The treehouse was incredibly unique and beautiful and it felt like a fairytale! The sky lodge at the top of the hike is so fun and there are incredible views. Willie and Greg were gracious and welcoming. I only wish we stayed longer!

An absolute dream getaway.

Our family had a wonderful time swimming, boating, fishing, hiking the trails, canoeing and sitting by the nightly campfire. Whenever we had needs, Michelle answered promptly and graciously. Lee was a huge help, as well. FANTASTIC hosts!!!!

What a great place to stay! Great cabin, right on the water. Very private. Very quiet. Everything that you need for a long weekend or week stay. A+ to deal with.

The feeling of going into the treehouse, with the presentation from the host, really give me the feeling of one part of the disney world. It is a little pricey but I think it definitely worth the experience. The host is amazing. She tried to accommodate all our request and is just super helpful and nice all the time. Would definitely visit again.

Stunning place!! Could not be more perfect for a cozy girls weekend away. So much to explore everything was super clean and owners were awesome, responsive and left super helpful instructions prior to our arrival. We all loved it! Will be back.

This place was an awesome stay. A perfect distance from some nice hikes and right off of the high peaks scenic byway. This was a wonderful stay and the area is absolutely beautiful. Tyler’s treehouse was nice and clean and had perfect instructions on how to navigate the home. Thank you Tyler and we loved your home.

Andrew has curated such a cozy getaway and made our stay well worth it. The property is beautiful and private, and Andrew was more than generous in helping our trip be comfortable in communication, warmth in the tent, amenities, and even providing extra firewood. I highly recommend this incredible treehouse spot for an off-grid getaway. We will definitely be back soon!

Great little spot, and perfect for what we were looking for to get away from the noise of everyday life. Great cozy cabin and a comfortable place to spend some time. Jason responded quickly when I reached out with questions. A true tree house, beautifully built, and nice and warm on a cold, late spring day. Would definitely come back during warmer weather too enjoy the nice deck and space around the cabin too.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday at the tree house. It was perfect for a couple. The hot tub was awesome. It was wonderful to relax outside surrounded by nature. The house is unique, well appointed and clean. We stayed two nights and wished we stayed longer.

Jim is a gem of a human - curious, intentional + generous. The treehouse was fun and we had everything we needed. The island offered us a place to truly relax and forget the drama of our day to day life. Jim's canoe suggestions were incredible .. make sure to check out the waterfall and paddle over to Kiwassa Lake and post up on the shoreline to swim and soak up all the beauty. We can't wait to go back!!

This was a delightful escape from city life. The house is quaint and cozy and had everything we needed. Antony was very welcoming and responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. There is something magical about waking up in a tree house. I highly recommend it!

We absolutely love the whole time we where there. The pictures and description matched everything i seen and even more extras not listed here had there so you felt just at home if not even better. We had a snow storm while on the property he should up early afternoon so it wasn’t too early because the place is surrounded by large beautiful windows for a great view of the forest around you. It was pretty cool to be almost eye level with some of the trees. He made sure to communicate with me of where to find rock salt just incase because a ice store came in after the snow storm. Very friendly let me two younger kids help shoveling with him and keep them interested in something for then 30 seconds without once making it seem like they were bothering him definitely increases are experience. It was nice to learn about how him and his friend build the house and didn’t mind answering the millions questions my kids also had for him all still with a friendly smile. Can’t wait to rent again.

What a fantastic unique fun property! We appreciated the clear instructions, we knew exactly what to expect and loved the surprise extra thoughtful touches. Brett was friendly, respectful, and responsive. We loved the binder with all the recommendations in it and guest booking (reading where people were from and what they did and enjoyed about the cozy clean Treehouse)!

Such a peaceful spot! Pictures don’t do it justice! Great place to rest and rejuvenate for a few days! Definitely planning on returning.

Staying in the treehouse was a peaceful getaway from your phone , tv and the stressors of life . Listening to the stream, reading, laying in the swinging bed, cooking then eating on the deck were all favorite memories. The bathroom shower in the house area is great as well, we showered comfortably, don’t be nervous to use at all. The lights are enchanting at night and we played the radio and laughed a ton. We cooked on the burner and had bacon and eggs. After further research we are sure we saw a minks; it was so cool and adorable and very fast. My wife and I had a great time at the tree house. I would recommend this stay if need some peace and a mental retreat even if only for a day . Thank you Heather it was nice meeting you. Blessings to you

Peter's treehouse was a great find. An absolutely beautiful view of the mountains and lots of privacy. Just as described on Airbnb. would definitely stay again.

We had so much fun at Eric’s. The kids frolicked in the beautiful surroundings, and loved the treehouse. The house had everything we needed and tons of space for our party of 7.

This place is beautiful and we loved the location and surroundings. Would definitely recommend this for a peaceful and intimate stay.

I can't express how amazing this little slice of heaven was to retreat after a long day hiking especially the hot tub! The yurt has everything we were looking for, privacy, comfort and relaxing. Perfectly decorated and calming. Amenities in many ways. thank you for such care and special attention to details. We had a fire, watched TV , soaked multiple times in the hot tub , dined locally and cooked in the yurt. thank you for having us and the little plant to bring home. If it wasn't as gloomy we would have walked the property to check it all out !
