Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Connecticut River

My husband, dog, and I stayed at Melanie's place for 6 weeks while we were waiting to close on our new home. The house was incredible, very clean, and fully stocked with anything that you could need during your stay. The property was quiet and wonderful for our dog to enjoy her outside time. Melanie was very communicative during our stay - she had her cleaning crew come twice and was on top of any necessary snow removal while we were there. I can only imagine how beautiful it would be to stay there in the nicer months of the year! The location was fantastic as well, close to the main road but not too close that the noise of the cars would be bothersome. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at Melanie's place if they are coming to the area. Truly a home away from home!

Yellow Door House was a fantastic stay, paired with an even more incredible host. The house itself was well-furnished and clean, with plenty of extra house supplies for us to use. Kathleen was also impeccable as a host, going above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience; one of our party left behind a water bottle, and she was so accommodating as to ship it back to us. I could not recommend this place more!

Excellent place to stay! Walking distance to Main Street and the place itself was nice.

Great school vacation getaway for our group of 8! Home was clean and comfortable. Kids loved the game room. We enjoyed our walk to beach (0.8 miles) which took us about 12 minutes as a group to get to. The hot tub was perfect for the cold/frigid temps. Its minutes away to great restaurants and the well known little Cuffy's shop. The Cape Cod Mall was about a 15 minite drive without traffic. James provided great customer service and follow-up throughout our stay by messaging prior to arrival, during stay and exiting. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to vacation!

We had a wonderful girl's trip staying in Diana's house! We walked to the beach and to Scratch bakery (twice). The house was perfect for the five of us with a great sitting area to hang out and chat. The house was clean and the instructions for cleaning up were easy to follow.

We had another great stay at this house. We love the house and the neighborhood. It was a winter wonderland this year. Can’t wait to come back.

Perfectly serene. Look no further! This is a magical getaway. It’s quiet and private—surrounded by woods. Every window is another beautiful view. The home is very clean with everything you need to have a relaxing and restorative stay. The bathroom is like a mini spa and the bedding is so comfy cozy. Tomo is an exceptional host (thank you). We had a beautiful snowfall and the roads and driveway were taken care of ASAP. Couldn’t be more thankful for the time we spent. Definitely would book again with no hesitation.

It was so nice to return to this place during a visit with my family in Connecticut. As always, it was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed cooking in the spacious kitchen each night.

Stayed here for 2 nights with a couple friends. Perfect spot for a quick getaway. Backyard and pool area was exactly what we were looking for with lots of space to lounge and relax. Lots of entertainment if you wanted to just hang inside as well. As some of the other reviewers noted, you can definitely hear the hosts move around upstairs. Didn't impact us too much except for Saturday morning. Was a little difficult to sleep in b/c of the noise.

Nice little getaway during the cold season. The hot tub was excellent and about 100 degrees so perfect even with the cold temperature. It was still possible to put together a meal with the propane grill and warm things up in the microwave or store them away in the fridge. The heat was excellent in the space. Seems like it would be a great place to stay in the summer as well!

Susanna was such a wonderful, generous, and helpful host! When our previous Airbnb did not work out and we were desperately searching for better options nearby, we stumbled on Susanna’s place and she was able to accommodate us at a lower price given that it was so last minute and we were losing money on having to check out of our other Airbnb early. She also was helpful in communicating with us about an upcoming snowstorm and made sure to send people to plow and shovel right away. Aside from that, the house is spectacular, with gorgeous breathtaking Mountain Views, comfortable and cozy couches and beds, an amazing fireplace with a large stock of firewood, and a kitchen stocked with all the appliances you’d need! The hot tub was amazing too! We loved it here and are so glad we stumbled upon it. We’d definitely come back and highly recommend!!

Another wonderful stay at Marcela’s place for my family. We always feel right at home each time we visit and have a great time with all of the fun amenities. For adults, teens, and pets, we all love coming back to Marcela’s.

My friends and I had a great time at Stephen’s place. Stephen responded to any inquiries we had almost instantaneously and plowed the driveway for us in the morning when it snowed. The house was very cozy but it did get a bit cold in some of the rooms at night even with the thermostat increased but the weather outside was also unnaturally cold in the days we stayed so it wasn’t that huge of an issue. We also had a bit of an issue with ants in one of the rooms but getting rid of them wasn’t that hard. Otherwise, we had a fantastic stay and would love to come back in the summer to get use out of the pool and beautiful backyard!!

My wife and I stayed at Ron’s place for five nights for a winter getaway. We had a great stay, highlights include a comfortable king bed, a quiet setting, a cozy fireplace, and the large ground floor bathroom that feels like your own spa- we thoroughly enjoyed the sauna, huge bathtub, and rain shower. Ron was a great host and was very responsive with any questions we had. We spent many hours watching TV on the screen and projector set up, we grabbed more pillows from upstairs to add some more cushion to the leather couch downstairs.

House was very clean and comfortable. Loved the decor and bed was super comfortable and cosy. Everything was there in the house- kitchen, bathroom, hot water. Well styled decor. Spotless. Felt very private and peaceful. Location was not as picturesque as I prefer, but fairly close to sight seeing.

We would definitely recommend Deb’s and Sharon’s cottage as a place to stay. The location is great, as it is within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and the water, but is tucked away in a quiet little neighborhood so it still also offers plenty of privacy. They were wonderful and responsive hosts and checked on us throughout our stay, though we didn’t end up needing a thing. They were gracious enough to allow our dog Bella join for the weekend too, which we appreciated very much as she goes everywhere with us. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely look to book again if we make our way back to the beautiful island!

Such a lovely time and Chris & Cynthia’s! Cynthia was so communicative leading up to our stay and kindly greeted us upon arrival for a quick walkthrough of the property. They were so accommodating and easy going with check in times and were so pet friendly! Loved staying here!

We had a such a great stay at Claudia's cabin. The fenced in yard for our pup was perfect and the privacy was exactly what we wanted. It's a short 20 mins to Stowe Mountain Resort, which felt like a really easy ride in the morning and afternoons. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals in the evening and the couches were comfy for lounging next to the wood stove. We hope to be back someday!

Kathy’s place was beautiful, clean, and well-appointed. We were very comfortable there and had everything we needed! Kathy was quick to respond to any question I had. There was a bunch of snow on the ground while we were there so we didn’t explore the property, but the grounds were so pretty

The cottage is cozy and comfortable, including the beds. It's in a quiet neighborhood yet very accessible to hiking trails, beaches, restaurants, and shops. Fiona was extremely friendly and helpful. She is definitely a Super Host! We would happy have stayed longer if we could have! For those who like to ride your bike: Rt. 127, the main road that goes around Cape Ann, is very narrow and has no shoulder, so I don't recommend planning to bike there.

Tara was a great host, which any questions she got back to us with the answers almost immediately. The home was just as beautiful as the view and was a quick distance to the center of town. Fantastic place to gather with family for a cozy weekend in the woods. Most definitely will be staying with her listing again in the future!

We had such a wonderful stay! The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked with pots, pans, and all the cooking equipment we needed—it made preparing meals so easy and enjoyable. The snowy weekend brought stunning scenery, and we loved just sitting by the windows, soaking in the beautiful views. The fireplace was a huge highlight! There was plenty of firewood and clear instructions to get it going, making for such cozy evenings. William was fantastic—super helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had, which made everything smooth and stress-free. This stay was everything we hoped for and more. Highly recommend! 🌟
