Stayed at Ambers place for Holly Holy Day. Finding it was easy with the instructions given. Great place to stay over the weekend, clean, comfortable and cosy. Town centre is only a short walk away. A very pleasant stay and would definitely choose to do so again if available.

I cannot recommend Lesley enough. She is a great hostess and has been helpful from start to finish. Any questions I had, Lesley answered them promptly. The house itself was so cosy and spotless - it was clean, neat and tidy. You can tell a lot of care and effort has been put into making it feel like a home away from home. Its location is great, it being so close to the town centre and to various parks in the area. If I could give a higher rating I would. I loved my stay at Black Gate House. Thank you Lesley! 🖤

Nicholas is a very responsive, kind host. We stayed for a month while looking for a permanent rental after moving from Ireland and there was space to store our suitcases. Easy parking out front, nearby Tesco and short walk to Queens park. He sent a message to see how we were getting on but otherwise let us be. He has an impressive collection of politically and economically themed books which we enjoyed browsing.

Great 1night stop over stay. Was just what we needed after a very busy day. Comfy beds and very restful sleep. Thanks for all the prior info and ease of access. Would definitely recommend.
