Family-friendly vacation rentals in Channel Islands Beach

The beach house was spectacular and the location cannot be beat. Listening to the waves crashing each day and night made it a wonderful retreat. We cooked several complicated meals and had everything we could possibly need, along with a nice gas grill. The beds were very comfortable as well as the well appointed deck furniture. The host was always quickly responsive.

Cindy was a great host, and we really enjoyed our stay at her place. The apartment was just as described: cozy, private, and ready for us. Cindy’s clear communication and care made everything simple and pleasant. We also noticed and appreciated the thoughtful touches that made the stay extra nice. Her tips for local spots were very helpful and added to our trip. We’d definitely recommend staying here and hope to come back. Thank you, Cindy!

Casita Solstice is just as described: quiet, secluded, and has views for days from the canyons to the ocean! You can also watch a beautiful sunrise and sunset right from bed, or while taking a bubble bath. The little overlook at the edge of the property is a great spot to have coffee in the morning and listen to the birds. Deborah and Peter were great hosts, helpful, and quick to answer any questions. Would stay here again!

This place absolutely blew my mind. Stunning views, massive space and secluded from the rest. I most definitely will revisit this place. A gem hidden in the hills of Malibu.

We had a great stay at Lisa's place. We stayed for 4 nights and we would love to come again. Pros: -All the amenities needed for a wonderful stay for 10, great views -Kitchen had everything needed for meal prep; linens and rooms were well equipped -Extra beach essentials including wagon and beach chairs -Very communicative host -2 quiet rooms on first floor for baby to sleep peacefully -4 parking spaces (very important since street parking can be scarce!) -Host thought of everything!!! Con: -Only con of the area, not the home, is the Ventura noise ordinance; so when our group was playing cards upstairs (at 7pm) we apparently were getting too loud, and we were getting notices to quiet down. Its a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen and living area were on second floor, typical of beach houses but a note for those who have mobility difficulty with steps. If we stay in Oxnard again, I would not hesitate to book it with Lisa once again!!

This is a beautiful and very well thought out and equipped place. I would say that the description did not adequately describe the level of comfort and luxury felt in this beautifully outfitted home. Every bedroom has all the amenities and creates a private world for each of the inhabitants in each bedroom. The kitchen had everything one might need with many, many extras, paper towels, paper plates, cleaning supplies galore. The area feels like California of the 70’s. The local food places are owned by the people who wait in you who are so grateful that we went there. There is a really fun vintage store with many treasures to look through. We went to a completely free USNavy Seabees Museum which was fascinating. We definitely want to return to the area which has the most beautiful sandy beaches and staying at this house certainly added to the fun. It was my son who is 40, my grandsons who are 8 and 10 and my daughter, the boy’s Mom. There were even thoughtful and entertaining games!

Aarons place was perfect for my stay with family. The place was clean and had necessities like towels, soap, etc. Just steps from the beach in a beautiful location.

We had a magical stay in this wonderful oasis! The cottage and hummingbird garden were absolutely perfect. Sandra had us feel right at home throughout our stay! It is an amazingly located gem which provided us with many fun daily excursions. The local area was extremely dog friendly and easy to explore on foot via a nearby park’s stairway trail to the main street and beaches. We hope to return to this paradise!!!

This home was perfect for our stay. It was within driving distance for our granddaughters’s golf tournament. Beds comfortable! Kitchen had all amenities.

I can’t say enough good things about Larissa’s property. This property is stunning. The ease of checking in and checking out was great. Larissa was so flexible and kind allowing me to host my 30th birthday here. The backyard is a dream. The grass is well maintained and my service dog had a great time running around and enjoying the yard. The bedrooms were large and loved that they were at separate ends of the home. They don’t have closets so just be aware but there is a clothing rack in both rooms. The living room is open and airy with a great indoor outdoor feel with the doors able to stay wide open to come in and out. The kitchen is well stocked which put me at ease knowing I had everything I needed there. Loved the coffee and tea bar as well! 10/10 experience and I have recommended this home to all my friends for the future! Can’t wait to come back. You will love it here.

It was so beautiful seeing so many hummingbirds so closely! Ojai Main Street was a beautiful drive from this place. Also I booked meditation session at meditation mount which was 25 mins. We had pleasure meeting 2 friendly cats on the property as well, had a great morning starting with birds chirp and sitting on the swings and watching hummingbirds .

Loved our stay!! We will definitely come back again one day. Our kids loved every detail about the house and the animals were a bonus

Adam’s house was first class! It was spacious, clean and beautiful. This was the perfect home for our holiday getaway. We will definitely try and rent this next year!

Pascaline's place was absolutely gorgeous! One of my favorite places I've every stayed at. So beautiful and peaceful. Our family really enjoyed our time there. She made sure to check in with us and see if we needed anything. The pool and spa were amazing to relax in too. We would definitely come back and stay here again.

Our stay at Christine and Dennis’s place was top notch. They are wonderful hosts. Their place is cozy, clean, and quiet. The agricultural ambience of Moorpark is refreshing too. It makes for a great home base while staying on the outskirts of a huge city. It’s close to some great dining as well. Check out Magma Pizzeria. It will not disappoint.

Murry was so responsive and welcoming. This was a last minute anniversary trip and he was so accommodating. The ranch is beautiful and the horses were a wonderful bonus. Malibu beach is a short drive down the canyon. Thank for going above and beyond! We will be back!!

Gloria was a fantastic host. The 4 bedroom home was perfect for our family…very clean, spacious, well appointed, and in a quiet neighborhood that was close to many restaurants and stores. Gloria was responsive and friendly. Highly recommend this home!

Carma and Ralph were lovely host! The AirBnB was super clean and they were quick to respond when we had questions. Easy access and centrally located within the Thousand Oaks and surrounding areas. Would totally stay again at this lovely house!
