This place is absolutely fantastic. it is in a fantastic location convenient to everything. I loved it because it's in the old part of the city with the cemetery the churches the cobblestone streets the market everything you want to see is there. safety-wise no issues at all I felt very secure going out at night and there's lots of eats at night with little stalls right by the cemetery that are open from basically 5:00 p.m. till 10:00 p.m. I walked to the main bus station every day which is only 15 minutes away. I strongly recommend this place and this host. When I return I will request the same place.

Stunning views, just like the photos! Had a small issue with hot water but Tina was quick to resolve. Other than that everything was as seen/stated in the description. Loved watching the birds from the comfort of the hammock in the evening. I personally enjoyed how small Tzununa is, and if you wanted a little more action San Marcos is only a 30 min walk or short TukTuk drive away. Also definitely check out pizza night at Love Probiotics on Friday and cafe trece cielos during your stay!

The stay was great although there is just a bit of noise from the street. It wasn’t enough to keep me up or anything but is something to note if you’re a particularly light sleeper.

Stuart’s place was absolutely incredible. As I write this review, I’m wishing I was still there. It was perfect, peaceful and had everything we needed. Stuart is a great host and he and his family were very welcoming. All in all, if you’re looking for a quiet, authentic place on the lake this is it. Not to mention the coffee, bread and pizza available from Stuart. Another plus was that the kitchen was really well stocked and easy to cook in. And of course the best part was the balcony and hammock where you can look out at the forest and lake while listening to the birds. Cannot recommend enough!
