Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Central America

This is by far the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at. I’ve traveled to a lot of Airbnb’s in many different countries and none compare to this. Finding this place is surely an adventure but once you are there, you don’t want to leave! I can’t say enough good things about the chefs that will cook you every meal. We had them do all the shopping for our meals along with other items we wanted such as water and beer. The housekeeper services that help coordinate private boat rides to other villages, keeping the place clean, or even small things such as turning on the hot tub while we are away are truly incredible perks of this place. The property and views are just amazing and I can’t wait to come back here for my next stay!

Rustic house sitting on a gorgeous property in a beautiful town! Two large outdoor areas to relax and soak in the beauty of the property. Location is just one block from the main street making it an easy walk to town. The kitchen is dated but had the basics needed for our cooking needs.

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Gisela. The property is immaculately cared for with incredible views. The house guidebook was full of excellent recommendations for activities and restaurants. We can’t wait to visit again someday!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. Having Curi Cancha right next door was amazing. Beautiful landscape and a wonderful home that felt cozy and warm.

This is the perfect Antigua getaway! Very roomy with plenty of bathrooms. Vale provided everything we needed. Within walking distance to all the great Antigua spots, we would look to stay here again if we visit Guatemala. My wife really liked the decor!

The house is gorgeous and clean, Maria and Rudy are very kind and helpful and there are dogs and a cat that come visit who are very sweet and playful.

We had an unforgettable stay at this stunning home on Lake Atitlán. The views of the lake and volcanoes are truly breathtaking — photos can’t capture just how magical it feels in person. The house itself is beautifully designed, incredibly comfortable, and perfect for spending a relaxing week. The kitchen is well-stocked, which made it easy to cook and enjoy meals at home. It is a bit of a hike up to the house, but Ventura (the house manager), his son Randy, and Captain Martín made our arrival and departure seamless. In my opinion, as long as you’re physically able to walk up to the house on your own — about a five-minute uphill hike after taking a tuctuc as far as the street will take you — you’ll be totally fine. They provided plenty of help with bags and anything else we needed both on the way in and out, so it wasn’t an issue for us at all. Restaurants and stores in town close early, so good to keep some food and snacks in the house. Once you arrive you won’t want to leave!

A absolute privilege to spend a few days here as a family. A gem of a house that felt immediately like a home. We loved the quirks and the passion for enjoyment. Top of our price range but to us it was worth every penny. Thank you Tucker.

The pictures don’t do this place justice; it is absolutely gorgeous, stunning, and beautiful. The textures, architecture, furniture, and built-ins are exceptionally complementary. The outside also gives off great vibes. The host was wonderful and communicated well, providing me with everything I needed and more. I am so grateful for this experience, and anyone who stays there will love it. In a word wonderful!

Beautiful place! Exactly the same as in the pictures. The location is prime—right next to the Santa Catalina Arch—and it's within walking distance to great restaurants and all the attractions. The patio is the gem of the house. The staff was always so friendly and helpful, which made our stay even better. If you're thinking of going to Antigua, I highly recommend staying here. You'll love it as much as we did.

Great spot, close to everything and has all the amenities you would want. Doesn’t have a/c but they do provide fans. Such a lovely little spot and so close to everything. Would stay again!

My time in Costa Rica was great but what made it the best experience was my Airbnb with Leidy she was absolutely amazing the entire way and very helpful and communicative. I can’t wait to stay at her property again. Definitely worth it. The place was beautiful and clean and it made me forget all about my own home 😂

Jenny and Clemens’s place is truly magical and an ideal spot for first-timers visiting Lake Atitlán. We instantly fell in love with the stunning views and the peaceful atmosphere during our two-day stay. From the start, Jenny and Clemens were incredibly welcoming and responsive. They helped us arrange roundtrip shuttle service from Antigua and even organized a private lancha to reach their home, making everything so easy. Thanks to their great location, we could walk to nearby spots like Casa del Mundo, Isla Verde, and even take a cooking class in Santa Cruz. Getting around by public lanchas were also simple. Just flag one down at the dock, and the drivers know exactly where to drop you off on your return.

This is a remarkable find, located within a few blocks of the best part of the historic district, with restaurants, bars, shopping , banking etc. A lovely place to stay with a well equipped kitchen , an enclosed patio with washing machine. The bedroom had a comfortable king bed with a raised loft with a second king bed. The internet was good and reliable, had Netflix set up on the Television, You tube was also available. Two prime features for me were the Chi minera in the bedroom to take the chill off the place at night, also added a nice romantic touch for couples. The Jacuzzi Tub had plenty of Hot water for a nice hot soak with bubbling Jets to soak in after a long day walking around town seeing the sights. This was one of my favorite AirBNB Stays so far. Lauro is a excellent host with rapid response times. I will definitely return here again, and again as I come to San Cristobal quite often. I highly recommend this rental! I honestly wish it was for sale or available long term.

It was an excellent stay! The place is quiet and without a lot of noise as it is not inside the main town helmet, without being very far from the center, only 7 min walk from the handicrafts market and 15-20 from the central park. In addition, the attention to detail in the apartment is incredible! A bottle of wine to welcome us, firewood in the fireplaces, lights adorning the patio and the equipped kitchen with everything you need (including a good coffee). We only stayed 2 adults and the space was ideal for a couple, I consider that 2 other people would fit since they have an extra bed, only a little tighter. The photos on the listing are accurate, with stained glass windows and attention to improve the experience. The attention was friendly and fast but not very flexible, which is understood by the care they give to the place, only would not be the option if they are looking for a different check-in/out than the listing. All and all, would always come back, a unique experience:)

This location is so beautiful and unique! It is like being in a multi tiered treehouse in the jungle that is a block from civilization. One afternoon we had monkeys visit us and play on the trees around the house and roof! The host and housekeeper are very responsive. Know that some beds and rooms are separate apartments. But the main house is beautiful wood with an open layout that we all met up in by the fireplace in the evening. Amazing memories and trip!

What a beautiful home with a truly wonderful staff! We absolutely love staying here. Susy is an incredible cook, and Samuel, the groundskeeper, is always so attentive and kind. The bedrooms are comfortable, and the multiple bathrooms throughout the house make it perfect for our large group of 20. Staying with Eric and his team is always a pleasure. We can’t recommend it enough!

Overall, this was a ln amazing place to stay. To be objective, we did have 1 minor inconvenience with a water leak, however Daniel and Yanira (house staff) were on it ASAP! The rest of the experience more than made up for it. Here are a list of highlights: Location: so much to do in the town of Ataco! Restaurants, convenience stores, gift shops, all within a couple blocks. Cafe Albania was a 10-15 min drive, and the Central Park was beautiful, especially at night! Felt safe walking around even at night, and the townspeople were very friendly. Host & Team: Nolvia was proactive in sending info, recommendations, and even a video on how to get to the house. Her staff, Dan and Yanira were extremely responsive and checked in with us daily to see if we needed anything. House: Looked exactly like the photos. The house had a very modern look/feel. Washer/dryer for those that like to lighten the load before going home. Overall, great time! Will definitely consider if we travel here again!

Great stay. Two families each with two kids and plenty of beds and space for kids to run around. We hired a local chef, Juan Carlos, to cook dinners, which really turned the trip into a vacation. Plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, etc within 5 min walk. Mariano, caretaker, met us at dock to help carry luggage to the house. Temescal was very relaxing at night and we loved hearing the birds and wildlife scurry around. We had some cloudy weather so pool/jacuzzi wasn't warm, but we cant change the weather! 100% recommend.

This estate in Antigua is absolutely stunning — hands down one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. The grounds are bursting with vibrant flowers, and the home itself feels like a private paradise. It’s spacious, serene, and perfect if you’re looking to unwind and take in the natural beauty of the area. The groundskeeper lives on-site and was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. Just something to be aware of: he’s the one who opens the gate each time you come and go, which was fine but I personally would’ve preferred having a key for a bit more independence. Also, there’s no A/C and the windows don’t have screens, so we weren’t comfortable leaving them open at night — it did get a little warm. Still, the charm and peacefulness of the estate more than made up for that. If you’re looking for a beautiful, unique stay surrounded by nature, this place is a gem!

The house and location are beautiful. The groundskeeper is always available and willing to help, checking on us on a daily basis. The host provided tour services and was very communicative. The house is clean but there is some room for improvement. Please note: the house has a lot of steps/stairs, which is typical on a lake front property around Atitlan, but if you are traveling with an elderly group or disable guest, I would suggest staying at a hotel with accessible amenities. That said, we enjoyed our stay here, the views, amenities, and hot tub. PS: This is our second time in Atitlan, and we felt the prices of several services have gone up by a large margin (laundry services, home made meals, transportation (boat and Tuk Tuk), tours). Prices are going up globally so we expected a change but not as much. Expect to pay a tourist tax but pay attention. As a family, we support the local economy, and are aware and okay with paying extra but nobody likes feeling taken advantage of.
