Vacation rentals with lake access in Carteret County

This place was very peaceful! The host provided so many family friendly games and movies that we weren’t missing connection to the outside world at all!! I highly recommend staying at this spacious home. We had a party of 7 with 3 kids and it was fantastic! The water is beautiful and the house is spacious. Everything we could need on our Thanksgiving trip to see family in NC! The hosts are very helpful and kind.

We love Penny’s home! One of our all time favorites. Spectacular views of Bogue Bay, especially the sunsets. And the house is immaculate with very comfortable furniture and all the comforts of home. Five stars plus.

Amazing home in a beautiful community. Short distance from the Beaufort Water Front. Be sure to rent the golf cart. It makes getting around the island easy and enjoyable. Don’t forget to watch for the horses in the evenings.

This was a beautiful stay on Harkers Island. My family and I agree that this Airbnb might be our favorite out of all others. The home was welcoming, comfortable, and clean. The view captured my heart from the beginning. My family loved to explore the dock each day at different tide hours to see something new. I have not one thing negative to say about the house experience. We enjoyed the ferry rides to both Cape Lookout and Shackleford Banks. On Shackleford we hiked and explored - getting to see several wild horses along the way. Even my run in with a cactus on the island couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm for this adventure (wearing long pants might be a good idea). Visit this beautiful home and island if you would like a secluded, peaceful trip!

The hosts were absolutely incredible. They responded very quickly, were flexible to our particular needs and were very quick to fix any problems that we had. They were by far the best hosts we have ever had. The house is very nice, we enjoyed playing pickle ball on the pickle ball courts that were walking distance away, and our dog had fun playing in the dog park. We would definitely stay there again!

Was doing a job in town and stayed here for the night, was a very nice home and not a far distance from the beach and some good steakhouses. Thanks for the accommodation CJ

Danny and Jenny’s place was perfect for our large family and pets. They were extremely accommodating and helpful. We had a need with one of the rooms and they offered to come over within an hour of chatting.

Patricia’s cottage had everything we needed to make ourselves comfortable, best of all the view and area provided the peace and tranquillity we needed the most. Patricia was extremely thoughtful, friendly and kind and she took extra steps to make us and our furr babies feel beyond welcomed. Patricia was an exceptional host and we will absolutely be back very soon!! Highly recommend!

This was our second stay at Chris's waterfront cottage. We were lucky enough to be here during the local Christmas holiday festivities in Oriental. Chris's place was so peaceful and serene. We can't wait to stay again!

We LOVED this place. The dock was perfect for the boys to fish and catch shrimp. The location was a quick walk to the beach for the girls and a short distance to the boat launch. We’ll definitely go back!

Melody has been an awesome host. She was very quick to respond to our questions and even added extra information that we may need. She is very thorough in what is expected so there are no surprises. It is a very quiet neighborhood and great to take a walk down through the neighborhood. She is very thoughtful too. She gave my son and I a birthday card because I had mentioned we were going to celebrate our birthdays here. I believe she really cares about the people that she rents to.
