This is the second time we have stayed at Rickett’s Retreat. We love it so much especially since they remodeled the outside space. It is so beautiful and private. The hot tub is amazing. A quick walk down to the water and one of our favorite restaurants. We can’t wait to come back!

A great treasure in the Santa Cruz Mtns…quiet neighborhood nestled in the redwoods. House was warm and comfortable just like our host Ellen. We will definitely look to book again.

We had a wonderful weekend at the Sea Otter Cottage. We enjoyed walks on the beach, exploring the thrift shops in Santa Cruz, eating delicious desserts at Gayle's Bakery, and relaxing in the hot tub. We appreciated that the kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals. The cottage was perfect for our family of four.

Annie was a great host and the place was exactly as described and just what we needed for a relaxing beach getaway. We loved the hot tub in the backyard and the beach cottage feel of the place. Thank you for hosting us!

A magical sanctuary! We loved every minute of our stay and the only negative part was that we had to leave. The location is epic- walk anywhere, restaurants, beach, UCSC, downtown, coffee shops. The hot tub is totally private and the place has a very homey feel. The lot is beautiful. Would stay here again.

Beautiful place, perfect for relaxing near the beach. It’s a classic surfer area so walks to the beach are very accessible and highly recommended. Gabriel provided excellent local recommendations and was very helpful and responsive consistently. For example, he messaged me and kindly suggested the local Farmers market five minutes away and we loved it The place was so nice that I’ll be going back!

Felton is a beautiful peaceful place and Gio’s place made it all the more. The backyard was lovely and you really felt like you were secluded in nature. We really enjoyed our visit!

My husband and I had an incredibly relaxing and peaceful stay at this beautiful cottage. The home is stunning, with all of the amenities you could need for a comfortable getaway. The surrounding area is quiet and serene, perfect for unwinding. We would definitely return for another stay! Highly recommend.

I had an incredible stay at this peaceful home nestled in the heart of stunning redwoods. From the moment I arrived, I felt a sense of tranquility and escape. The location is nothing short of magical, surrounded by towering trees and the serene sounds of nature. It was the perfect getaway to recharge and relax. The host was phenomenal—super responsive and genuinely committed to ensuring my stay was perfect. Any questions I had were answered almost immediately, and their kindness and attentiveness really set this experience apart. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat in the redwoods, this is the place. I can’t recommend it enough and can’t wait to return!

The unit was very private, and the driveway was steep (we could manage the turns with our compact SUV, but a larger vehicle may have difficulty). The deck is large (the view is incredible!!!) and gated, which was nice for our dog to have a safe area to roam. There is a good amount of outdoor furniture for lounging, and a grill. Inside was small, but big enough for two people and our 20 lb dog. The bedroom is all bed, but comfy. Shower is nice!All of the appliances were in good working condition, we loved trying out the waffle iron. The oven is smaller than standard, (be sure to use an appropriate pan). Everything felt clean and there were plenty of extra towels/linens. Also, there seem to be occasional power outages in the area, (we experienced one, late night from 10:50p-1:25a) but it was minor. The location is close to town, easy access to restaurants and grocery stores. We enjoyed walking to the nearby waterfall and exploring the area for light hikes. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

The only thing that was more wonderful than the actual place / stay at the blue house itself is ANNE, our host (although let's be clear, both were very wonderful) :) From start to finish, Anne was communicative, generous, flexible with check in/check out (without me even having to bring it up) -- she also had local chocolates and a wine bottle waiting for us !! The place itself is adorable. The bed area is SO cozy, the kitchen is so well equipped, the area itself is amazing - it was my first time in santa cruz and i literally kept saying "ok i'm going to retire here". Everything was like 10-15 minutes away -- the furthest we ever drove to something was 14 min. The beach is like 15 steps away, and even tho we didn't end up using it, Anne had beach chairs (+ extra jackets + robes for us to use)! Overall, such an incredible place. truly an amazing getaway home and place to breathe and live and laugh and LOVE!!!! THANK YOU !! <3

The place is fantastic, stylish, and very quiet. It is just a 2-minute walk to Pleasure Point, which offers amazing views of Monterey Bay and access to surfing spots. The beaches are nearby. It is a nice neighborhood where people say hi to each other, and it feels safe. There is a nice patio in front of the house to sit and drink coffee or have your meal. There is an outdoor shower, which is convenient when you come back from the beach. The space is one bright and big room with a well-equipped kitchen. The bed is very comfortable, and the mattress is not too hard—parking spot in front of the house. The host was very responsive when we asked a question. In summary: We felt at home and enjoyed our stay.

Love how peaceful and calm Melissa’s home is. Melissa is kind, friendly, proactive and very hospitable. If you’re looking for a place to just unwind this place is it.

Wesley’s place was very easy to find. It was very clean. And close to the beach which is perfect. We had a good time.

This cozy beach cottage was perfect for our stay. Even though it is a cottage, everything was quite spacious. There was only 2 of us but could easily accommodate a small family or 2 couples. Well equipped with all things needed to cook meals in. The house was a short walk to the ocean and in a quite neighborhood. I look forward to staying again.

This is a lovely get away home to stay in while exploring the beautiful area. Just a 2 minute walk to the beach and on a quiet street. The home was cozy and Helda was very friendly. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

We had a lovely stay. The place was clean, bright, and comfortable. We didn't spend much time inside, but were happy to return there each day for a safe and cozy sleep. I enjoyed the "fireplace" heater unit in the main bedroom to take the chill off the December nights. The bath/shower was well-outfitted with towels and various bath products.
