Cabin vacation rentals in Capital District, New York

I stayed for a week in this little cabin, and it was the most peaceful week I’ve had in a long time. You’re surrounded by nature (I had a family of deer graze outside during my stay). It’s a great place if you need to getaway from the suburb/city.

This listing is very inviting and charming. We had a great time at this Airbnb with the amazing terrain around to the nice amenities at the home we didn’t feel bored or lacked anything. Internet was fast for gaming, jacuzzi was great. The property did have some neighbors around but still semi private, we had no issues. Check in and and check out was very simple and not a burden. Would definitely stay again

This is our second year in a row staying here, and it was just as wonderful. The cabin is cozy and rustic feeling, but with all the modern amenities you want. It’s always perfectly clean and the hot tub is wonderful and well maintained. We’ve visited 2 winters in a row now and hope to be back for a third!

We went away for the weekend with our toddler. It was a magical weekend. It had already snowed when we got there and the views were of a beautiful winter wonderland. Lenny had the snow cleared up and made it accessible for us to use the porch and hot tub. He also gave us great instructions on lighting the fireplace and heating the tubs. The place looks exactly like the pictures. Make sure to check in with him about the weather before getting there. We were thankful he told us to bring our winter gear! We will stay here again.

This adorable getaway was absolutely perfect for an anniversary weekend with our dog. Sauna was so cute and being in the hot tub during the snow, divine. Host was super helpful and responsive if we needed anything, which we didn't, and even made sure we had duraflames among arrival! 25 min drive to Woodstock, less than 10 to Tannersville. Great hikes nearby, we did Kaaterskill Falls with our pup! Highly recommend!!!

Perfect for a weekend getaway!

What a wonderful space! It is SO cute! The pictures don't do justice. Umi even left little snacks for us. The entire experience was so relaxing. From start to finish, every detail is just so thoughtful. Would recommend and would be excited to return! Thank you!

This is a beautiful location and incredibly close to town. The fireplace keeps the home toasty and is great after a soak in the hot tub. Check-in and check-out were seamless and everything was clean. The WiFi was strong and it is clear that these are seasoned hosts who know what they are doing.

My partner and I and our small dog Jerry spent Friday to Sunday at one of the cabins, Nuthatch, in the experience, couldn’t be more perfect! The cabin is cozy with everything needed including a small fridge, toaster oven, and TV. There’s a woodless fire place for the chilly nights. It’s about a 15 minute drive to Woodstock (charming artsy town) with many galleries, restaurants, cafes, and shops. The vibe is hip and chill. We went to a show at Bearsville Theatre (5-10 minute drive) on Saturday night to see live music after a day in Woodstock and spent Sunday driving around the lake and exploring neighboring towns. The area in all directions is beautiful. Esme and Corey couldn’t be better hosts. They were quickly responsive to anything needed on site and through the app. The cabin was spotless and everything we expected from the pics and description on the app. We loved it and will definitely return.

The cabin was cozy, well equipped & welcoming. Can’t say that I’ve ever slept on a more comfortable bed! The kitchen was well stocked with modern appliances. The property was certainly private, expansive & peaceful…maybe a bit too quiet for a Bklyn girl! A but tricky to reach and phone & internet service disappear as soon as you walk out of the house. The hosts were exceptionally responsive & helpful.

We enjoyed our stay at Jeff and Sharon's cabin. They were very communicative and responsive. The cabin itself was clean and cozy in a peaceful area. The amenities were great as well. Highly recommended.

Such a great home! Our entire group had the best time here and we didn’t want to leave. The rooms were beautifully furnished and had everything we needed and the kitchen was also fully stocked so we could cook all weekend. The backyard area was also so nice as well! The hosts were super communicative and made the entire process super easy from beginning through the end. Phenomenal location and super cozy home—we’d highly recommend to anyone!

My husband, daughter (3) and dog felt right at home at the Grizzly cabin. The place was clean, tidy, and stocked with all our necessities. We enjoyed the cozy vibes, electric fireplace and warm atmosphere. My daughter especially loved that there were toys and games for her to play with, as well as toddler-friendly dining-ware. Ashley was responsive when it came to questions about the house or places to go in the area. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend to a friend.

We always have a great time at this cozy cabin. It’s secluded, peaceful, and a great place to bring our city dog to enjoy nature.

The Little Moose Lodge is EXACTLY as described and pictured -- which is to say: adorable and wonderful! Chris is a FANTASTIC host! Super communicative and accommodating. He has set-up a charming stay, extremely close to the Erie Canal Trail for any cyclists. We will ask to stay again and again when we return to the area.

Very cozy surrounded by nature. Had maybe 2 cars pass in the 3 nights we stayed. Actually extended a night because of how much we loved it. Dog loved the open field and the views are amazing, pictures posted in the ad don’t do it justice. Lots of stuff to do in the house itself and the guide Catherine sent helped a lot with finding local activities.

the cabin was beautiful, Chris was great to deal with very accommodating,got back to me right away when I texted him with questions.i would highly recommend this cabin to anyone who wants a peaceful, country place to stay!!

Great stay in November. Very cozy and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bedding. Plenty of silverware, dishes, pots and pans. Very private and tucked into the woods. The fenced backyard for our dog was awesome so he couldn't wander away. There were some movie DVDs and player but we didn't use them. Awesomely quiet split duct heating and cooling units.

Michele’s place was very peaceful. The location was absolutely beautiful and the cabin had everything we needed. I would definitely stay there the next time I am in the area.

My wife, two year old, two dogs, and myself stayed at this beautiful property for our anniversary. It was an easy choice for us as they were able to accommodate our two pups which was important to us. Something that also appealed to us was the playground, which was a few feet away from our cabin. This all made it so easy for us with a toddler and two dogs to vacation with ease. Our host were incredibly friendly and very open to helping us if we were to have any issues or concerns, which we did not because the stay was perfect. I would highly recommend to families or people with pets. Our toddler was very found of the lively and very sweet donkey. Thank you so much for hosting us. :)

This cabin is the most peaceful getaway, located in a forest of tranquility! Perfect for anyone looking to unplug and just be present with nature. A few things to note: - Michael was incredibly responsive! -The description is EXACTLY as listed. Make sure to bring your own toiletries (ie. Shampoo, lotion, soap, etc) and anything you need to cook with (ie. Oil, seasonings, aluminum foil, etc) -The fireplace is a LOVELY addition to the cabin. If you do choose to use it, bring PLENTY of wood and a lighter, as it will burn out quickly! -4x4 or AWD is a must, especially in the snow! We recommend taking the trash out regularly, as it’s a quarter of a mile or so down the hill. We would definitely stay again, purely for the tranquility of this cabin!

Cannot say enough about Matt. We had a simple request upon check in that not was it taken care but we were taken care of well above what was needed. Extremely quick responses to any questions we had, just felt like he really cared. As far as the property, I will sum it up as breathtaking. Driving around on the evening on the golf cart provided was amazing. All the little walking paths off the main trails kept us busy for hours. This was my wife's first time camping in any capacity and can say you helped make her a fan not too mention our 5 year anniversary! We 100% will back this fall to try one of the other accommodations if not sooner! Thank you for a wonderful experience and for beautiful memories we made!

Second time staying with Jess. The very definition of peace and quiet!! We will return for a third time when we need to get away from EVERYTHING…. Especially the cell phones.

Just what we were looking for locationally! Great value for the price. It was quiet, peaceful and a dogs heaven! our lab loved swimming in the water then drying off by the camefire. The stars are amazing out here too!
