Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Canterbury

This was the perfect place for our family given we were travellign with our dog. The place was great, well appointed and had everything we needed to attned a family Xmas. Being close to the motorway it was a breeze to get in and out of CHC so it didn't feel a million miles away. Elzabeth and Corey were super responsive and helpful and let us stay an extra night at short notice when our travel plans changed. Highly reccomended.

Kate was such an awesome host!We enjoyed our stay so much!it was great for my family! Everything was clean and orderly,bathrooms both have great water pressure and hot water!!!(major must for me!) house also warm and cosy! Kitchen great for having our Kai and big comfy beds!gardens were so amazing I’ve come home inspired for my food garden! I definitely recommend this accommodation for anyone who needs a house with children of any age as it’s safe clean warm and even has toys for young ones(something I’ve hardly come across at other air bnbs! We loved our time in Hanmer Springs.

We travelled to Ashburton, Des’ house with our two young grandchildren for our other Granddaughters 5th birthday. Des was awesome to deal with, the house was perfect for us, trampoline, seesaw for the kids, it more than met our requirements and was just around the corner from our families home, Perfect.

Suntrap indeed! Followed it from sunrise til sunset on different decks. Comfy beds. Gorgeous bathroom. Big back yard. Easy walk into town. Love the ‘vintage/ retro’ bits and bobs. Great host

Paula has done a great job in maintaining her home and going extra mile in providing extra amenities such as coffee maker with capsule coffee.

The house was very clean, well appointed and homey. The reclining living room furniture was really comfortable as were the beds. The view is spectacular! The modern bathroom was clean and elegant. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had a fantastic stay at Windwhistle. A lovely resort and the apartment was very spacious and well appointed. It also gets all the afternoon and evening sun so it was beautiful sitting on the deck. Couldn't fault it!

A perfect peaceful mountain retreat! The space is huge and very well stocked to handle a large group! The hosts, Chris and Julie were delightful and welcoming, in great communication. It’s just a few minutes from all the shops and eateries with an easy country drive to the gorge and the mountains! We had the best night sleep, listening to the rainfall and woke to a perfectly sunny morning. This place is surrounded by a large private garden and while we didn’t end up soaking in the hot tub, we were glad to know it was there, ha! Thank you Chris and Julie, we had a very meaningful trip visiting friends and the land!

Warm, gorgeous and clean, studio apartment with incredible views. It is in a great quiet location, short walk to central hub. We had a short but comfortable stay. Thanks Gaye maybe we’ll come back in the winter one day.

Well the pictures instantly appealed- but it’s much larger in real life. The accessibility for me of being able to check in at 9pm was very helpful and as I had a lot of gear with me having the door at the front was very useful for loading and unloading. The details in the memrobilia were very interesting and yet a classic collection that was visually appealing A very classy apartment. Also much warmer and quieter that I had expected.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The space was immaculately clean and the beds were amazingly comfortable. The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful. Perfect location with epic views across to Mt Hutt. Would definitely book again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

The penthouse was even better than the photos and our stay was perfect. Comfortably fit 6 adults and 2 kids. Easy walk to most of Christchurch and it really had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend. Thanks for having us.

Second time we’ve stayed here while visiting Hanmer with family, and another great place to stay. Very close to downtown and the water park. Only shortfall is dishes, glasses and cups are very limited, so you’ll need to hand wash before you come close to filling the dishwasher. Hand to believe they don’t stock more than six of each item.

Maree hosts a fantastic, beautiful, comfortable renovated villa home in a superb location that remains private and serene. She was a great host and I could not recommend staying here highly enough.

Elizabeth’s place was nothing short of amazing. The entire place was spotless and we loved the rustic vibes of the cottage. Both bedrooms were thoughtfully furnished and had more than sufficient heating in winter. The living room was large and spacious, just a wonderful space for 4 adults to gather. Kitchen utensils were extremely clean and new as well! The surroundings of the cottage was extremely peaceful, a wonderful place on the patio to stargaze too. The cottage sits in the middle of an expansive estate, good for a quiet evening stroll. We loved that Elizabeth’s place was near a few wineries and just a short drive to the supermarket in Amberley. Elizabeth was friendly, responsive and left easy to follow instructions regarding her cottage. My friends and I had a really great time there! Dusty the dog was a bonus for us! He was super friendly and playful. A joy to be around! We definitely recommend the place!

Enjoyed our overnight stay - ideal location - and a great house

Our time at Coldstream Estates can be best described as homey, peaceful, and restorative. Annie went above and beyond to make sure our stay was accommodated to the highest degree! (And for you bibliophiles, the library is an absolute treasure trove!)

Lovely cottage - airy and bright, even on a rainy day. Very comfortable and pleasant to spend time at. Fire was made up ready for an unexpectedly wet and chilly January trip. Steve was a great host, helpful, communicative and friendly, with a good suggestions for places to go. Cottage had all the ameneties you'd need and the pint of milk in the fridge was most welcome. Cheers Steve, we had a good time and would come again if we're in this neck of the woods.

The house was very comfortable and easy to make oneself feel at home.

This is such a stunning place to stay! The view is incredible and the house is gorgeous. So much cool art and character. We had so much fun. Plus Akaroa is a lovely little town to explore and really not too far from the house. We felt like we found a real gem!
