Secluded beach front paradise home

DillonRating, 5 stars18 months ago
Kathy and Rulon were fantastic hosts, they were very responsive and proactive about recommendations. The property is beautiful, 10 out of 10. We visited the small towns of Corrales, Mayto, and Tehualmixtle to swim, snorkel (Rulon and Kathy shared their snorkeling gear), and eat food. The food everywhere is amazing, you can’t go wrong. We rented 4wheelers from a local in Tehualmixtle and rode around the beaches, and we zip lined on the property. A few tips: Your rental vehicles need to be 4 wheel drive. Pick up pesos in Puerto Vallarta, you can exchange $USD in some of the local restaurants but PV is easier. Touch up on your Spanish, this is very rural Mexico where the locals speak practically zero English. Pick up some grocery staples in PV for your stay, especially meats, the local abarrotes will only have limited groceries. You won’t have cell service so download any music, maps, etc Our trip was fantastic, we can’t recommend this property and the area enough.

Luxury 1 Bedroom Beach House Casa Dos Aguas

TraceyRating, 5 stars28 months ago
I should probably wait to write this review since I’m still so high (elated high, not stoned high) from this trip. But I’m an Aries so I cannot wait. Casa Dos Aguas was perfect. Gorgeous. Comfortable. So clean! Amazing views. The best hosts ever - a huge shout out to Alex for making our stay super comfortable and easy. From pickup at our hotel in Puerto Vallarta to drop off at the airport, Alex had our backs the entire time. Kristina was responsive and kind and a pleasure to work with (albeit online). I immediately felt we made the right choice the second she communicated with me. Yelapa is a gem. I suspect it will be booming in the near future so I’d get there stat if I were you. We are happy we visited during the off season. A little rain but less crowds and the weather didn’t take away anything from us. We did all the activities we’d planned on! We’ll be back for sure. 🌺

Casa Bendita: Panoramic Views Steps to Beach!

ChrisRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We loved our stay at Marc and Michelle’s place. The sunrises from our bedroom were unbeatable and the views from the entire property were incredible. Marc and Michelle were amazing hosts and helped us beyond what you’d ever expect of a host. Looking forward to another stay here someday.

Casa Sorrisa

LisaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Yelapa is heaven. We returned to Casa Sonrisa in 2024. Our first time back since 2015! Casa Sonrisa is still the perfect place to stay in Yelapa. It is simple and comfortable, safe and relaxing. The house is open to the ocean so you sleep and wake to the sound of the waves; it melds inside and nature. There are mosquito nets to keep the bugs out, but bring bug spray so you can hang out longer before bed. The kitchen provides all you need, bottled water, pots, fridge, coffee maker...all the basics. Karen and her caretaker Marilu take good care of you. If you are a fancy resort person who needs AC, this isn't the house or village for you. The house can be hard to find, so ask for explicit directions. Get a village map at the Bahia Restaurant (which is a great restaurant btw) to learn your way around. If you have an early flight out, plan to stay in Puerto Vallarta the night before. Don't rely on there being a taxi when you get off the 7:00 am panga in Boca.

Casa Karolina

StephanieRating, 5 stars10 months ago
We enjoyed the serenity of Diana's place compared to the 'busier' beach areas (it is not a very busy town at all). Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The stores and shops around the village were useful and the walk to the beach was pleasant. Taking a quad with our luggage on arrival and departure was also a breeze. Walking to the beach with a two and five year-old was about a half- hour, 1.5 hours to the up-river waterfall with the kids on a horse, and a easy 10 min walk from 'downtown' to the other waterfall in town. The river allowed for relaxing days and playing for the kids when we did not go the beach. Overall, a very pleasant and happy place to be. We are grateful.

Vallarta Home on the sand Quimixto Culture+ Luxury

AmyRating, 5 stars36 months ago
This property is truly incredible. It is remote, beautiful and everything you could want in a vacation. We traveled with 6 children ages 6 and under and it was perfect for kids this age. So much for them to do and explore right outside the front door. Palita prepared meals for us throughout our stay here and not only was her food incredible, but her, Raul and the rest of their family were so kind, welcoming, helpful and accommodating. To say Jeannette went above and beyond to make our stay spectacular would be an understatement. She was so helpful in our planning, making suggestions and setting up excursions for us. We could not have done it without all of her help- she is a gem. If you are looking for a beautiful setting removed from the large crowds of Puerto Vallarta, relaxation, adventure, culture and interacting with some amazing people, look no further. I could not recommend this property more.

MiraMar:Casa Jungle Private Pool

SaraRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We loved staying at MiraMar in Yelapa. Nestled in the jungle, it felt peaceful and comfortable and had everything we needed. We especially loved the outdoor area upstairs. The host was attentive and quickly answered our requests and the help with our luggage up the stairs was appreciated. This place was great for our group of 8, and the kitchen had all the essentials (oil, spices) for us to make homecooked meals, too. It was a short walk into town, the shops, restaurants, and boat dock, but be prepared to walk up many stairs to the casa! The privacy was well worth it, and we loved the refreshingly cold pool. Would recommend this place to large groups!

Casa lolita en Yelapa

SavannaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Loved staying here ! Such a close walk from the beach and is an oasis. Its really special to have a pool in Yelapa. The place was immaculate and so clean,, you can tell someone who worked in high up hotel service takes care of this place. Even just little things like bandages and bug spray. Hector, the caretaker, is amazing and a joy to laugh with. The neighbors who’s on the same property is also such a kind delight and added to our stay. The toilet paper had an embossed stamp on it ?! WHAT ! Beautiful! The one downfall is the roosters in the morning,, around 8am or so they’d be pretty non stop. By day 3 we slept through it but on the first night we were awoken a lot. If youre an early bird, like them, no problem. Was so fun though to have little chickens and roosters running around. Very special time here. I hope to be back ! Many memories built !!!!

Country home at Rancho Primavera

BrendanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
What a beautiful place! We had an amazing week at Rancho Primavera and I'm still sorting through all the photos of wildlife that we saw. This is the perfect getaway for biologists or people that are interested in seeing the wildlife that West Mexico has to offer without being stuck in a crowded resort. Without leaving the property we found more than 120sp of birds, a bunch of reptiles, and had excellent success setting up a sheet and UV light for nocturnal insects. Bonnie herself is just a wonderful person and incredibly knowledgeable-- always a pleasure to chat with. Can't wait to return!
