Hannah's Cottage, Great walks, Log Fire, Book It!

JoRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Just back from a short stay in Hannah’s Cottage. We had a lovely time in this cosy and well appointed cottage. John was so helpful with info re local walks, activities and weather updates (!) The cottage was perfect for us and our two dogs with the meadow opposite for quick walks and then detailed instructions on how to get to a lovely waterfall walk left for us specifically as I’d asked about that type of walk. A bit isolated for my 15 yr old but the WiFi worked in all rooms so he was happy!

New 2 bedroom 6 berth caravan right by the beach

PaulRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We are an older couple with a dog, who traveled to Porthcawl to visit a relative in April. The caravan matches the description, although the second bedroom is rather small. It is in a quiet part of the site and noise was never a problem. The excellent beach is a short distance away, which my dog loved. They allow dogs on the beach until end of April. The site is very large and a bit disorienting when you first arrive although staff are helpful if you do get a bit lost. The sitting area is generous with plenty of seating and the heating system is easily controlled. There are extensive leisure facilities on the site, but I cannot comment, as we did not use them. It is a short drive, or a longer walk, to the centre of Porthcawl. Lack of WiFi could be a problem, but mobile reception is satisfactory.
A bright bedroom features vaulted ceilings with dual skylights allowing natural light to enhance the space. A spacious bed is adorned with green pillows and a soft throw, while a side table holds a lamp. Views of the sea are visible through the window.

The Best of Rest Bay 2 Bedroom Duplex Apartment

JackieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a lovely 3 night stay. The flat is lovely and everything is catered for as a guest - plenty of cleaning materials, coffee pods etc. All the rooms are very comfortable and the televisions in every room were welcome, as was Sky sports! The view from the main bedroom side window is lovely and the terrace area is large and a great space to sit and watch the sea. There is a lovely walk along the coast just outside the complex. It is easy to park but there is a short walk to the flat and up some stairs, so something to be aware of if you have mobility issues. Emma was very friendly and very prompt on her communications. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful venue! Incredible communication with Claire, would perhaps recommend a guest handbook with instructions on cooker, how to turn heating on/hot water etc.

Rest Bay Holiday Apartment with amazing sea views

JaneRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Amazing location! Walk to the beach in minutes and straight onto the coastal walk. The view from Tims first floor apartment is hard to beat! Totally unspoilt; overlooks the golf course and out to sea. Beautiful. And if surfing is your thing it has an amazing surf club nearby with items to hire, lessons & a cool cafe just mins away. A short drive or half an hour flat walk into town for shops/pubs/ supermarket etc. Building itself has a good lift right outside the flat. Note there is a fair walk needed to carry bags from the car. We found it easier / shorter to park at the back of the building and wheel our luggage through the open courtyard (rather than parking by the main entrance gate). We would highly recommend and love to return.
A sandy beach stretches across the foreground, meeting rocky formations along the shoreline. The landscape features patches of grass in the distance, with a few scattered clouds under a clear blue sky, while the gentle waves can be seen lapping at the sand.

Duffryn House- Idyllic Countryside Retreat

LynnRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We enjoyed our stay at Duffyrn House. It is beautifully appointed with a delightful enclosed garden, which was great for games, eating outside and our dog. All the bedrooms were ensuite with comfy beds. It is located just 5 minutes from the M4, but in a secluded valley. We took day trips out and it was a good base to go to Cardiff in one direction and the Mumbles, Gower Coastal Path and the 4 Waterfalls in the other. There was plenty of space downstairs for the 7 of us with a large open plan kitchen/diner onto a TV room with extra deep big sofa, plus a separate lounge and a snug. The Wifi was fine throughout the house, although a little patchy.
