Fantastic location, parking perfect and Kilkenney is fantastic place - fell in love with everything Kilkenney

This was the second time my husband and I stayed at the Alder Cabin, which just shows how much we love it. The large window to the trees is my favourite part. We've been there both times in the autumn, and it's lovely to have a view to the falling leaves. Even though you get the feeling of being in a very remote place, it's actually not too far from Kilkenny city center. We walked to the city every day, which takes a bit but is a lovely walk. The cabin itself strikes a great balance between cozy and functional: you don't have too much clutter, but you still have everything you need there. Finally, Donna is an amazing host! She is always available if you have any questions, and leaves you with a really thoughtful set of breakfast items. When we stayed here for a week, she also left us a new batch of fire wood halfway through our stay in case we ran out. All this while being extremely respectful of our privacy! We also noticed they renovated the bathroom recently, and it's perfect!

What a FABULOUS place this is! Theresia and Favid are spectacular hosts, and this place is just as, plus more than, described. It is wonderfully self-catering and well-off , but close enough to the beaten path. If you want peace, it's there...If you have a car and want to run the roads, you can. if you want to do nothing but read, walk, and enjoy nature, it's perfect. No TV, so bring a book or 2 or enjoy the ones there... walk until your hearts desire .. enjoy the back roads, the scenery, the people, and the country. Wonderful accommodation, wonderful hosts, and wonderful area. About 2 hours from Dublin, but it's worth it...

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb with our group of 11! The house was impeccably clean, tidy, and wonderfully warm, making it the perfect retreat. Our host was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, providing us with helpful information throughout our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this place for any large group looking to unwind together!
