Gorgeous property in a great location, easily walkable from the train station, city centre and bus stops onto the university of Lancaster. Responsive and helpful host. comfortable beds and great facilities. Perfect for a stay with friends or a family.

Absolutely loved my stay; I’ve been coming to the Lakes for over 20 years and this place is the ultimate cosy retreat, just what you want to come back to after a long day out walking. The property has everything you need and is very dog friendly; I always come armed with blankets and towels but it makes it so much easier not having to worry about carpets and the coat stand came in very handy for drying things. The location is great; I arrived much later than planned in the dark and found it no problem. It feels very peaceful and private but Windermere high street is within walking distance. I will definitely be back again, thank you for a great stay!

We had a fantastic stay. The home was exactly as described, very clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect, close to the city and restaurants. Check-in was easy, check-in instructions will be given prior to arrival. Parking available. We loved the garden in the backyard, very relaxing. The radiators stopped working in the evening, it was cold until morning and until we left at 9am. Little bit disappointed about that, as i was travelling with my parents and they came from the philippines which means they are not used to cold weather, we tried to check for the boiler, and found out that we can't turn it on, there was a note that says we are not allowed to regulate is as it has a timer, or otherwise we will be charged for that. Was not really a big deal for us, as it was only overnight but overall, we are very happy with our stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Ivy Garth. The house was perfect for us, incredibly clean and close to the village centre. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!

Simon’s place is fabulous. Luxurious, with everything you could need. Such a short walk into Bowness but so peaceful too, and those views! We had the best family short break and didn’t want to leave. Simon was a great host, start to finish.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights. The place was amazing, so much wildlife to look at and listen to. There was a lemon drizzle cake waiting for us which was an excellent touch! The guest information was excellent and was very handy. The village is beautiful and so peaceful and we really enjoyed going on a couple of nice long walks. We would highly recommend staying here!!

We had a lovely stay at Francesca's home to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday. 6 adults and 3 children were easily accommodated, and the space allowed us to have a fun catch-up. Fran's printed information sheets were great, and allowed us to make the most of our time there. Friendly, responsive host. We hope to be back!

We spent 5 nights here at the end of March and start of April 2025. We were really fortunate with the weather and took full advantage of the wonderful location: scaling Slight Side and Scafell on one day, riding to Coniston via the bridleway on another and 'bagging' most of the Coniston fells on another day via Wrynose Pass. We ate in on a couple of nights and also went to the Wainwright's for some pub grub, as well as Stoves for their evening menu. Simon and Belinda's place is very well situated in Great Langdale for all kinds of walks and rides, food and decent pints. The house itself is a lovely place to return to in the evening with easy parking outside for our van and once inside, everything is spotless, well equipped and cosy. We really appreciated all the helpful information on bike routes and walking routes and spent the late evenings by the fire pouring over the Wainwright books planning the next day's adventures. 100% recommended.

Stayed for 2 nights in the caravan, was cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed. In a lovely location close to the sea front.

Denise was extremely helpful and approachable. She took the time to send a few messages to ensure we were clear on check in. Denise welcomed us and showed us to the lodge. The lodge was super clean, well equipped and Denise even supplied the basic condiments, tea, coffee, juice, milk with some welcome biscuits thrown in! The lodge was also dog friendly. The kids loved their bed room and we were all very comfortable. We had a great stay and the lodge more than met our needs. We plan to return.

Beautiful little cabin surrounded by stunning scenery, with many great places to visit within a short driving distance. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay. Andy provided lots of useful information and tips regarding the local area. We'll definitely be coming back again!

The caravan was lovely and felt like home. Found a lovely easter treat in the fridge 😋 and lots of little homly perks around the caravan which made us smile. Check in instructions were straight forward and detailed directions were given in plenty of time of arrival. Prompt responses from lisa and paul throughout the duration of our stay with useful tips to make life easier. A very enjoyable holiday in a lovely home and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Only slight downside was the shower temperature. (Not sure if its shower related or user error 🤣) However, It did not ruin our holiday or our stay in any way and would definaltly love to come back again in the future for a longer stay to explore more of the surroundings. My husband, our two dogs and I had a wonderful stay at the Den, Littlemere Lodges. This lodge surpassed our expectations! We had a beautiful lakeside view which provided such a calming ambiance as we watched the ducks and the sheep beyond on the hill. Despite its boutique size, the lodge was fully equipped with so many amenities such as a washing machine, dishwasher and lots of cutlery. Our poochons were certainly welcomed guests, considering the dog bowl, towel and poo bags that were set aside for them. We would definitely recommend! One possible con (though for us it just came as part of the change of scene from suburban to rural life) were the winding single-carriage roads leading to the property which sometimes required reversing to a widening in the road to allow passage of oncoming vehicles. However even this, felt like a small inconvenience compared to the overall lovely retreat we had at the Den.

A huge thank you to Jackie, John and Cooper 🐶 for everything during our stay this week. The accommodation was perfect for us and felt like home from home. The little additional touches were most appreciated. The location was perfect for walking our dogs, getting a train, walking into Kendal or getting in / out of Kendal by car. We would love to come back when we are next up visiting family in Kendal.

Cottage is lovely and in a great village, a short walk from a friendly pub that serves great food. Good base for travelling to the lakes and some lovely walks locally. Cottage is very warm and welcoming and our host Liz was brilliant , clear communication and very reactive.

Great place, clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. A few seconds walk to the heart of Ambleside but quiet despite the proximity of bars and restaurants. We only stayed a night but being able to park close by and walk out for dinner/ breakfast pastries was a lovely bonus when we usually stay in more remote locations. Thanks for a great stay, we’ll be back!

what a lovely couple of nights we spent here for my birtday bd it was magical. Just what we needed and with lots and walks and things to see so close we were spoilt for choice. Fraser greeted us and made us feel so welcome and recommend a wonderful waterfall to visit close by. had. a great time and would recommend to anyone

Absolutely fantastic stay! Lovely and clean, cosy with everything we needed which made it so easy to relax. So much information was provided, when we got stuck we could work everything out for ourselves. The property was ready early and I got a message to say we could check in early which was super handy as we were ahead of schedule. Would really recommend as this is a great location to the lakes!

Lovely cottage, very clean and spacious with 2 really good sized double bedrooms with very comfortable beds (better than many other AirBNB's!). Shower over bath was also of an excellent standard and the central heating works well. Large, recently refitted kitchen, which for once is not missing that useful utensil you were expecting to be there. Full size dishwasher, washing machine and and large fridge freezer all made the stay more enjoyable and without challenges to "make do without" anything. A good sized desk for any work or browsing on the computer is a nice touch. The area was very quiet. Good sized off-street parking but truly only for 1 car not 2. Good guide to the surrounding areas with plenty of walks, something you do not always get these days. Mobile phone signal virtually nonexistent but once your phone is linked to the wi-fi then your phone can do everything with the cottages excellent wi-fi. Recommended without hesitation.

I stayed with my Mum and Sister for my Mums 70th birthday trip. We had a lovely stay. The Lodge is absolutely beautiful and actually nicer than even the pictures show. The location is beautiful, breath taking fews and it was a delight to see the animals. Jade and her husband were so welcoming and friendly. We couldn't have wished for a better trip. Thank you
